GL benandjerrys and marygracerich! I'm on west coast time so I'm always so far behind but hopefully all the babes sleep well tonight. I'm really hoping for a good night tonight since I'm going into work for a few hours tomorrow and MH is working a double so I'll be solo parenting for the next 2 days

First stretch wasn’t bad... course the first stretch isn’t usually the problematic one lol

I got almost 3 hrs! That's the longest stretch since birth where I also got to sleep the whole time. Yay!
Also. Night sweats have made an appearance. Cool.

Accidentally fell asleep on the couch with baby girl. Feeding her now and hoping she’ll sleep in the RnP. She’s been pretty restless today and mostly wants to be held.
Hope everyone gets some sleep!

Baby will not go back to sleep! She slept the normal 2.5 - 3 hours since her last feeding and is now just laying on her bobby while I play on my phone waiting for her to fall asleep so I can move her to her bassinet. Ugh I’m so tired!

DH is getting a vasectomy today and I have so much anxiety and emotion about it. We have four kids, I don’t want to drive a dang bus, I hate most forms of birth control. This is the right thing to do. But closing this chapter on our lives is a lot tougher on me mentally than I thought it would be. I’m sure I’m time it won’t bother me so much, but man. All the feels, lots of tears, and little sleep right now.

I’m up for his second feeding but I can’t really complain. He slept from 10:15-1:15 and 1:45-4:45 so not terrible. I’m sorry you are having the feels ajetter

He made a joke yesterday about scheduling a vasectomy and I started bawling. I can understand why you are feeling emotional. Hugs to you.

Hugs ajetter. I actually posted on my over BMB this week asking how you knew you were done having kids and to scheduled a V and a lot of ladies said they were done but still grieved when it actually happened so it’s definitely normal to be emotional.

Guys! Even with the smoke detector drama she went down at 10:45, up at 2:30, easy down at 3, slept until just about 6:30! This is basically a normal day in my house bc my boys are early birds. I know this will likely never happen for a while but I’m so pleased right now!
🍾🏆🙌🏻
ETA this proves the theory of you aren’t as tired with baby wake ups. If everything here is the same experience the 2:30-3 wake up was dealing w DS2 I’d be beside myself with tiredness and crabbiness today.

Hugs ajetter, I can imagine how emotional that decision is, even with being 100% certain that you’re done. It’s a big decision! Feel all the feels that you need to.

I would love for MH to get a vasectomy. I hate condoms and as much as I like having an IUD, I would prefer no birth control at all. He won’t do it though. I already asked. I will stick with getting an iud as soon as my dr will do it.

Thanks ladies for making me feel less like a crazy person. I know hormones play a part, but I was struggling to understand why I’m so emotional over it. Glad I’m not the only one with those feels.

This is going to make him sound awful but he doesn’t want surgery because he is afraid it won’t work right afterwards. He has a pretty high sex drive and he enjoys it. He feels it won’t be the same afterwards. A dr can assure him that it changes nothing all they won’t and he will still refuse. It’s his body so I didn’t push the issue. It’s not important enough to me to argue with him about it. I asked him once and dropped it because there are other options like the iud. The bonus of the iud is that I have little to no bleeding every month.

marygracerich I don’t think he’s awful. If you’re both ok with the decision than it’s all good. I was just curious. I almost wish it slightly affected their sex drive. DH is ready to go all the time. I could handle... less. Lol.
