Good luck marygracerich! Hope you're getting some sleep. ajetter no judgement on using the RnP as a crib! DS1 slept in his swing for his first 3 months. Sorry she's being so spitty. Hopefully the RnP helps!

Well I'm up pumping. I woke up on my own about 45 minutes ago but refused to get out of my warm bed. I know little one will have me up in a hour.
DH goes back to work this morning. One of his employees quit while he was gone and then was acting all shady and snuck into the shop when the other girl ran an errand later in the week. The guy is pretty unstable so I suggested that my H utilizes his conceal carry permit this week. I really hate thinking he may have to defend himself like that but better safe than left defenseless if the guy goes off the deep end.

jessijean some people are crazy! That is terrible that your H feels that unsafe.

If it’s not spit up it’s poop. Gah.

Up pumping and feeding the littlest. Of course he peed all over his clothes and swaddle during diaper change. Fx he finishes his bottle and gives me a 4 hour stretch like yesterday.

This baby spent his first 2 weeks at home in the rnp. We just moved him to the bassinet a few days ago. No judgement. Whatever gets you both a little sleep and is safe is a good idea.

ajetter we slept in the RnP for the first 3s months. It's my plan this time around too. 🤷♀️ DD2 and 3 slept in one for like 5 Months +. Lol. I’m certainly not opposed. Was just hoping we wouldn’t have to transition out of one. But I like sleep and babies not choking on spit up more than I care about the transition.

Dang we didn’t even make it to the middle of the night before our first wake up. This is my first baby who apparently hates the act of pooping and having a poopy diaper. It seems to wake her up more than being hungry.

Just remember, this stage is temporary. It will eventually get better. That’s what I tell myself every day.

Nothing like fighting with hubs bc I wanted a little sleep before L woke up. Oh and that makes me selfish. MOTN babe cries (fusses) you feed the kid in hopes they go back to sleep so you can too!! Hubs didn’t get the memo, plz forward.

Good luck bassa!! So I'm up with you guys. But it's because my toddler took an old cell phone and set a 3am alarm on it. Holy hell.

I think for me it’s especially encouraging because I know this is my last baby and I won’t have to do it again. I love them but parenting is hard when they are itty bitty.

sunfrogger sorry but that totally gave me a good laugh. marygracerich I definitely know it’s true. Just always so hard in the beginning! It’s definitely so hard. The uncertainty because every baby is different, the sleep deprivation and having to be so cautious because they are so little and fragile really takes a toll. But we are strong and resilient and we will make it through.

I shut off my pump alarm a hour ago and purposely went back to sleep. Mother of the year over here. Luckily, babe woke me up now. I don't know how I pumped 11.5 months with DS1.

Omg sunfrogger 😂😂 I hope you got some sleep!! Thanks for the encouragement ajetter & marygracerich, it is nice having done this before I’m definitely more relaxed but it is hard to remember that it does get better!! I will be glad when his circ is healed so our diaper changes will be quicker. pippiann I totally relate to the hubby thing. Mine is very helpful but instead of just jumping in he will sit there and ask lol. Last night S was crying & I’d been nursing for hours & he was like “do you need help” lol. YES TSKE THE BABY PLEASE. Thankfully we figured it out. Anyway hope you guys all got some sleep, I eventually got a 4 hr stretch in there from about 1:15-5. I’m nursing now & hopefully can get 1-2hr more before DD wakes up & it’s chaos.

I've been up every 2 hrs feeding and now am unable to sleep. The list of things to do is unstoppably scrolling through my head.

Is there a 3 week growth spurt? DD2 has been eating nonstop. I can’t keep up with it by pumping. I really hope this only lasts a day or two

The only great thing about being awake so much is the amount of reading I am getting done. In the last month I have read 5 ebooks and 1 regular book. 4 of them I had read previously but it still counts. I am almost halfway done with ebook number 6.

I'm watching dumb Netflix movies. You win! It would probably be more impressive if it wasn’t such easy reading. I have re-read the first three Harry Potter books. I am on a waitlist for #4. I read Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher which is only about 200 pages and I read the first two 50 shades of grey books. I had only read the first one and a commercial for the new movie made me think I should read the other two. I am almost halfway through book three and so far I am not impressed. I will finish it but only because it seems like a waste if I don’t.
