Did anyone else see the news story circulating about the woman who returned a Christmas tree to Costco on Jan 4? She wanted a refund bc the tree was dead.
You cannot make this stuff up.
Apparently (appallingly?) she actually got her refund. 🙄🙄🙄

dapostrophe... wow!! Congrats! We had our first vomiting incident with B last night. Of course today is our annual work event that I have to be at (big client party), and MH was supposed to be here too (he's actually a client and a vendor of my company) but he had to stay home with B b/c my 78 year old father was supposed to watch the boys and he would probably run screaming from the house at a vomit incident. Anyway, he seems fine today so MH is pissed that he has to miss it but I don't want to take the risk with my dad.

cagoldi I love the name! @ wineallthetime congrats! I'm happy to have you two as May baby buddies! kim22 my husband freaked out and practically ran to the urologist's office to get his records, on the advice of one of his medical malpractice lawyer buddies. They have tons of legalese in the papers you sign, so doubt we'll pursue it, but I have heard you can sometimes get the second procedure for free when this happens, so we'll see. ladystrat congrats on #5! flamingo I have not seen the story, but people never cease to amaze me. Hilarious that you were relieved that it wasn't FL this time 😁

Hi ladies! Back at the office today, 1000 emails, lots of chitchat about the holidays plus some internally screaming to stupid interns while trying to give all constructive and positive feedback. And I applied for a job today...

My dad is 53. She was 23 when she had me. My dad is 63, my mom had me when she was 25. I always told her I’d make her a grandma before she’d turn 50... I guess I failed.

When I worked at Sam’s Club we had someone bring in a tv they bought like 10 years before asking for a refund. People are crazy.

My parents will be 72 and 70 this year. My maternal grandparents, if they were still living, would be 125 and 117 this year. It's crazy to me that my children have so much distance between them and three generations removed.

My mom had me at 37. In the 70s that was practically unheard of. My dad was 47.

What an afternoon. It's been almost a month since Josie's been to dance because of a holiday party and then the break, and then a snow day. Dance went off without a hitch, but then we had to quickly transition (change and lunch in the car) and off to school. She just about lost it. First that she didn't want/couldn't go, then when we decided she wouldn't go, it was about how she wanted/needed to go. She eventually calmed down enough to talk to me about how she feels like she can't do one thing after the other without a break. It was really mature of her, and I'm trying to respect it. She is 1000% my husband. We stayed in the parking lot for about 20 minutes and talked. And while we were talking, Charlie shoved his hand so far down his throat that he threw up. So then we sat in smelly car while she tried to puzzle out the rest of her brain. On the way home, my gas light came on, so we had to stop for gas. I had removed Charlie's outer layer and cleaned him as best I could with wet wipes, so because I knew he wasn't sick, we stopped at the grocery store to get comfort food for tonight. I think we all need it.

My mom was 33 (turned 34 a month later) when she had me, my dad was 30. We are all spread out: oldest sister is 10 years older than me, next is 4 years older, and my little sister is 2 years younger. Me and 2 of my sister’s have Jan birthdays and the other one is in March.

Congrats dapostrophe! I'm sure you will make it look unfairly easy. I remember screenshotting Theo's schedule when I was first trying to get Chase a bit more regimented. It really helped. flamingo - That Christmas tree story sounds like something my FIL would do. He returns EVERYTHING to Costco, including dead bushes that died due to poor maintenance. My MIL is super pearl-clutchy so I can't imagine how she survives.

trtlcrzy, Unfortunately it would be the same thing -- just immediately after preschool. I'll either have to look for something on Fridays or on the weekend.

Sorry that Charlie apparently didn't appreciate the sentiment.
