I got day 8 done with my DD climbing all over me. Plus I upped my weights. Except for when doing lateral raises...those can still get fucked.

I’m a week behind, but I did day 1 today. I’m out of shape. Feels good to get the first fit test out of the way, though. My scores are embarrassing, but...
Squats 31 Push-ups (modified) 25 Mountain climbers 80 Lunges 12 Jump squats 16 High knees (half marching-I lost a lot of steam around jump squats) 100 Triceps dips 21 Plank up downs (modified) 12

I’m trying to sketch out my schedule this week. So week 2 days 1,3, 5 are strength? Even days cardio ?
Or rather day 8,10,12 are strength...

I did day 8. Somehow I felt more sore this morning, after our rest day. I had to take a break during the last plank move so my goal when we repeat this one is to get through the full amount of time.

Yikes, now i am nervous for day 8. Lunges are a little difficult due to my lingering pregnancy pelvic issues. I will see how it goes.

6.0 day 9 done. Even though I don't feel well and woke up with a sore throat. I hope it doesn't amount to anything cause DNW to fall behind already.
I appreciated that Briana was also working out before the sun was up. Arwyn was crawling all around giving me baby fever (not really tho but she's super cute).

Day 8 and abs done. All her talk about the power move makes me feel like I should add a few extra minutes of something, I'm not feeling particularly inventive at 5:30 in the morning.
I've never liked when she has transverse lunges in the lineup because I have some hip and knee issues. I tried them today but may end up just doing forward lunges the rest of the week.

I also didnt like those twisting lunges. I dont really get the point if twisting around amd then lunging...whatever.

Or I just did it wrong, lol.

Did day 8. I don't understand twisting to do a lunge. It felt like...a normal lunge to me. Just facing the other way from when I started. Ooh, look at my feet pivoting. 🤷
Granted, I have no ability to balance during lunges at all, so perhaps my steadying hand on the wall made the move different.

I was behind, so I doubled up day 6 and 8. I really pushed myself and though I was completely exhausted after, I am feeling great now.
I also don't really get those twisty lunges...it seems like it leaves too much room to injure yourself if you lose balance. I think I am going to do forward lunges for the rest of the week and just add in 45 seconds of weighted twists at the end.

I did day 8 yeasterday. My two year old was back in preschool, and omg it was so much easier to finish the workout without him yelling at me the whole time. Ha!

Day 8 done. My video worked today! Not doing abs because I’m going paddle boarding.
I’m not an expert by any means but I believe the point of the twisty lunges is to work stabilizer muscles like the core and glutes. Getting off balance slightly is an effective way to work those muscles in with the big muscles. Same concept with the step ups.

I have enjoyed all of the Jessica Smith ones I’ve tried. This one is my favorite. I just did this on my lunch. Efffff abs. Will be doing day 9 of BBM when I'm off work. Stick with it! This one was really tough for me when I started four months ago and, it’s still a great workout, but not as crazy hard.

I'm not going to do workout 9 tonight since I'm going to a strength class in town tonight. The class is 1 hour and the workout is intense, so I'm calling it even.

Omg. I’m gonna be so sore. Two hours of ocean paddle boarding after day 8. Woof. It was so great though.
And honestly this is something I never would have tried when I started this weight loss/fitness journey. I feel so much stronger and confident in my physical abilities.
