@juliagulia and whoever else has done Jessica Smith abs, do you think they’re ok for a beginner? My ab/core strength is awful. Obviously I want to challenge myself, but I don’t want to try something so hard that I can’t even do the moves.

I have done 1-2 that were way tough. I would also recommend one of the 1 mile express walking abs videos she does to ease in. It’s all standing ab work so a bit easier.

I had to take 2-3 quick breathers but I was able to power through. I know I'll feel it tomorrow but I didn't feel like it was impossible. Perfect! Thanks!

Day 9 done. I did NOT want to because I'm exhausted- my day started at 2:58 this morning because my children are insane. (This is not normal). I got a couple quick catnaps in but we usually get up at 7 so I'm struggling. But I did it, and now I'm laying on my mat and may just sleep here tonight, lol. I can barely move.

I did day 9 this morning. I liked the combination of moves—it was difficult, but it felt good to really push myself. I added in an extra round for 3 total and then went out and did a short sprint interval workout. Feeling good about this morning's efforts.
I also started my period yesterday, so it is making me feel a little better about my weigh in on Sunday. I am hoping some of the "holiday gain" was just hormonal bloating and water retention.

I need a favor. I'm going to need to do day 10 tomorrow over my lunch because daycare is closing early. I get home for lunch around 11:45 central. I want to do it before I eat so I don't puke up my food. Can you guys help keep me motivated? I like to lounge on my lunch because it's my only child free time. But if I don't do it tomorrow over lunch I won't be able to do it at all. Don't forget to do day 10 over lunch!!

I did day 8 while my children ate their Cheerios at 6am this morning. omg, who am I!?! I also upped weight to 12lbs and I'm totally feeling it.
I'm glad it's done and they didn't actually bug me all that much, so this may become a thing on work mornings.

I did Day 9 last night, but forgot to post here.
My inner thighs are so sore. I think it's a combination of the multiple lunges on Monday and the squats yesterday. Woof.

Just did Day 9! I took the random toddler wakeup on top of the usual baby wakeup last night since my husband is working a weird schedule this week, and I really really didn't want to. But I did it.
Hat tip to Daniel Tiger for hanging out with said toddler while the baby napped. Couldn't do it without you, you crazy tiger!

I am behind. I fell asleep on the couch intentionally last night; I am not feeling well at all. I know the rule of thumb is that if it's above the neck or whatever to work out but I just can't when my head feels like it's going to explode. I am hopefully going to start week 2 tonight. If I am feeling super great I may double up but I am always careful about that because injuries.
I am not really feeling 7.0 for some reason yet and I am hoping this week will change it up for me. Not sure if it's the cold or what. I am considering switching to a new beach body 80 day workout that is coming out on the 15th. I will still check in here no matter what I am doing though!!!

Ok I repeated Mondays video on lunch today. I also got dinner in the instant pot with a delayed start. It's minute steak with lime, cilantro, garlic, onion and salt. I'm trying to decide what veggie to have with it. I have asparagus I need to use, would that be weird? I hate asparagus, so my suggestion is to throw it out. And maybe light the garbage on fire.

Asparagus and steak is a perfect match for me and if you have some, use it up. I roast mine with a little olive oil, garlic (fresher minced) on the tips, and lemon juice.

Day 9 done + abs. I did 3 rounds and it almost killed me. Today we are heading home from vacation/paradise. I’m so proud of myself for keeping up my workout routine while here. I definitely ate and drank whatever I wanted so I’m glad I was active to partially offset it.

I'm going to double up days 9 and 10 tomorrow. I'm doing a spin class today, my first one in like 8 months! I forgot that they got new bikes that are super uncomfortable in the crotch area. Ugh.
DD2 is in the day care but she has been in a decent mood today so FX she stays happy for an hour.

Double today since it didn’t happen yesterday. (Thanks to a baby that would only sleep in my arms.) Day 8 and 9 are done. I hate burpees and big no to the twisting lunges.

I did a cardio video, Day 9 and yoga. I've managed to get my workouts in before getting the kids after work. I'm aiming for the gym tomorrow.
