R gives me an 8-9 hour stretch. But, sheās up at like 4am. Sheāll sleep two more hours on my chest, but itās not good sleep for me. If she wakes before 4, then I try the paci and donāt pick her up until after 4. Iām at a loss what to do, since I didnāt have this problem with T. R is 5 months today and I keep trying to tell myself eventually itās got to get better. Her naps arenāt consistent lengths yet, either. Itās consistent that sheāll nap 1.5-2 hours after waking. I would totally get up at 4am if my kid was sleeping 8 or 9 hours! Can you move bedtime later?

king26, are you planning on sleep training him in his room in the crib? I feel like I keep saying I want to sleep train but donāt want to bother till she is out of my room. She despises the crib all together soooooo I have no idea how that will happen. bsouls, that first stretch your getting is so nice though, Iām jealous! I miss those days. M is 5 months today too, I didnāt realize they were birthday twins š Yes. I plan on putting him in his room in the crib. He also is not a fan but I figure hea already sleeping like crap so we might as well do the move to the crib and sleep train at the same time. It's going to suck but hopefully worth it in the end. I have been getting him to nap 30 minutes in crib once a dat. Not great but better then nothibg

Iām also horrible about remembering to take my prenatals still so thatās probably not helping

So sorry for all the sleep troubles. I felt like I couldnāt contribute bc out of 10 nights I was home for two of them with N ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) going back to work sucked so hard. He was doing better- waking up once maybe twice for DH (aside from the first terrible night) but now heās back to 2-3 wake ups. Last night I lost it. Between no sleep from working nights and messed up day time sleep Bc of life and my body hating me, I was a mess and DH was so unhelpful on the nights I was home. Iām so happy to be going to day shift. Iām hoping it will help MY sleep and crankiness and maybe in turn N will figure shit out (haha). thinkchocolate05 oh my god to the poking the baby. I would have lost it on the toddler. You are a far better person than I!! Iām so torn on where to teach him to sleep. Our nanny has gotten N used to sleeping in his crib but sheās using a boundary roll. This week the plan is to phase the boundary out of the crib- he was so used to being scrunched up in the rnp, the rolls help him feel cozy and secure I guess? She watches him like a hawk while he naps and made the rolls from his muslin blankets so while I donāt love it, Iām okay with it. Also she doesnāt put them higher than his elbows-ish area so theyāre not near his face at all. We tried with the pnp last night but he only did the first half of the night in there. I wonder if he just hates the hard mattress?? Also, he keeps waking up everytime we wake up in the morning so I feel like moving him to his room is a better solution but Iām torn Bc of the co-rooming recommendation from the AAP. Also, I like having him near me. I miss my snuggly newborn. He is growing so much and thatās so fun to watch but he is so not interested in cuddling unless itās to try to eat my face and heās so large my wrists hurt so much from holding him and I just bought size 12mo pajamas that fit him loosely - but fit him. š³

Oh jt2378 yep. My hair is a mess. I keep finding hairballs when I do laundry and the shower is a disaster and DH just gives me disapproving looks whenever I forget to clean up the small animal I create on the shower glass door š¤·š»āāļø I have been forgetting my prenatal, too. This is a pettyFWP but it is driving me crazy: Iām also really sick of my coworkers commenting on my body. Theyāre compliments- like, wow! You donāt look like you had a baby! Or What! You must weigh less than you did before the baby! Or wow! Itās like you had a basketball and then he was born and the basketball is gone! Etc etc. I just donāt want people to comment on my body. I have a tummy pouch that is hidden from wearing scrubs and yes I am lucky that I lost my pregnancy weight but I donāt care- I donāt want you commenting on my body, period. It makes me uncomfortable. I try to offset the jokes by saying things like āoh scrubs hide things wellā or āwel when you donāt have time to eat Bc of the baby...ā or ābreastfeeding really helps... so does choosing sleep over eating!ā But itās just tiring. š

jt2378 king26 The stretch is good and thatās why I donāt really complain. But, her bedtime is around 7am and even if sheās up later she still wakes up around 4am. Sheāll fall asleep immediately if I pick her up when she wakes, if she can sleep on my chest.

I still have hair loss. I think itās slowed. But, you wouldnāt notice so I guess Iām lucky.
Iāve got my period and itās extremely heavy. I go to the gyn in a little over a week. I think Iām going to have to try birth control pills to regulate. This blood loss is so frustrating.

addymac, I couldnāt imagine a non sleeping baby and working nights, glad your switching to days! As far as the boundary roll, is it under the crib sheet? Someone else mentioning doing something like that and wondered if it worked. Maybe Iāll try it. Iām sorry about your coworkers, people really are so ballsy sometimes š”

+whatever to hair still falling out like crazy. And I also am terrible at remembering to take my prenatals.
Also +1 to first PP period being super heavy. Like change a tampon every 2 hours or more for a day. Gross.
