Reusable produce bags. Bee's Wrap to replace plastic wrap/foil (this is a phase in for us- it's pricey). GM I’m bumping because I saw in the packaging that they say to replace after a year for the Bee’s Wrap. Just wondering if that is necessary or have you used it longer? I will say that I’ve wrapped brownies I made last week in it and they are still so moist! So much better than regular wrap! I think I have had mine for longer but it is definitely not working as well as it used to.

I will admit that it’s hard not to add to people’s stuff when it comes to kids’ gifts. I got my grand nephew (2yo) a gift certificate to a play place and bath bombs, but of course those aren’t fun when opening them. So I got an additional toy. It’s hard to please the parents and the kids, lol. I do vow never to buy 100+ piece Lego sets or anything because that’s just mean. You can buy my kids a 100+ piece lego set. They are lego obsessed and I see it being a lasting toy that they play with forever. My H is 32 and still enjoys playing legos with the kids.

I’m reminding myself a lot lately: Use it up, wear it out Make do, do without I’m trying to consume less overall, and not hop on Amazon when something gets old or imperfect but still functions. Amazon sells straw brushes to clean out reusable ones which helped me convert to stainless straws. I’ll have to check out the glass ones too. Recycling where I’m from is so behind the times. I would love single stream recycling where it all goes in one bin. We can’t even recycle cardboard! H and I were actually talking about what we might be able to do to get our city to do curbside recycling the other day. Maybe you can contact the city you live in to see if you can get it started?

My city’s contract just came up for renewal and they’re asking for input, I’m trying to get everyone I know around here to fill out their survey! I really hope they change it. I think they only change the services they’re contracted for every few years. 🤞 That sounds like a perfect time to voice your opinion!! Are there any city council meetings coming up? Or maybe a member or two that may be looking for re-election sometime soon that you can put a bug in their ear? You may also have luck if you can type up a petition and present it at the next meeting.
