The girl that works overnight asked if I’d stay a little later so I’m at work till midnight. I normally get off at 10, and it’s been busier in the last hour and a half that it’s been all day. Of course it has. I hope you get to leave soon.

On a related side note, I just saw the nurse that helped me deliver S. She came down to talk to someone else so I didn’t actually talk to her.

omg, y'all, I think there is an animal in our bathroom wall. Of course there is, this house is a disaster. Move now, just pack your shit, including your new light fixture and move on out.

omg, y'all, I think there is an animal in our bathroom wall. Noooooo. Like alive or dead? Oh it's very much alive. We think it's a squirrel. It has gone quiet but was scratching like crazy for a half hour or so. Google tells me it's limbering up its leg muscles in preparation for delivering large squirrel babies. So that's super. We gotta get this thing out before it has kids, so looks like DH has a project tomorrow. Or else...

live blog...The good news (is there really anything good about this situation at this point?) is that supposedly they're ripping our roof off this week and replacing it, so that will be the perfect time to chase out the squirrel daycare and/or find where they're coming from and stop them.
I'm still leaning towards torching the place though.

LO is still up. At least now he's staying in his bed. But now I'm craving popcorn. I know if I make it the smell will wake him up so I guess the baby will need to make do with Cheez-it's

My first thought was that I’m jealous your squirrel might be closer to labor than I am.....

Morning ladies! Hope your kids slept better and longer than mine. Went for our last croissant walk, then to the pool, dd is napping now and after she wakes we’re going to take a quick walk in the woods before heading home. Dh gave me a trip to Paris for our fifth anniversary, but somehow Paris didn’t feel right. So Dh and I planned a trip to Edinburgh for the first weekend of March last night instead. It will be our first time away together since October 2015, we can’t wait! Any of you girls ever been?

chrisy01, what kind of going home outfit are you looking for? I've seen some people use really really fancy outfits and we just use a sleeper, so I'm always curious what people pick!

Morning! I'm still in bed listening to the cries of children and howls of a dog downstairs. We are supposed to go to my sister's for brunch and then meet friends who are in town at a brewery. This will mean just (hopefully) car naps for L, so it vary well could be a disaster.

Morning!
Naturally the one morning B sleeps in, C is up at 6:30. Kids, I really need y’all to coordinate better.
Nothing big on the agenda today, other than a squirrel hunt. We might go to Pottery Barn to look at/order a mirror I’m eyeing.

That sounds like a lovely trip nam2013. I’d say you’ve earned some time off My parents really enjoyed Scotland but that was years ago. I was actually just talking to a woman who was from Edinburgh at a birthday party recently, she had the most delightful accent. Can’t wait to hear what y’all think.

Charlie napped from 1030 to almost 2 yesterday, so we pushed his bedtime off to 7:15 and put both kids to bed then. Josie sang to herself to 830ish (very unusual but she doesn't like this minimal night light thing). So naturally, with a later bedtime, Charlie woke up at 5:15 this morning. I let him fuss for five minutes which was the wrong thing to do because that woke Josie up. I'm super grumpy about it. Josie is struggling to go to bed because there isn't enough light in her room, and Charlie's up at the crack of dawn. I, begrudgingly, will accept one or the other, but not both.

Ugh, that does not sound fun. I wish I had a suggestion for you! The kids shared a room when we were on vacation over Christmas; we've done it before without issue but this particular time was not delightful. Not sure if it's the ages or what. It stinks waking up like that and starting the day on the wrong foot, so to speak.

We had issues about five months ago for a couple of weeks and then things went back to normal, and now we're just in a rough patch, so I know that there's an upswing somewhere. Also, still keeping my eyes on the Zillow house. Our real estate agent is coming over next week. Hopefully we'll see some forward progress then.

Morning. Woof, last night was rough. N woke up at 9 and proceeded to scream for 30 min, so j read books with me...then he tried to sneak in and then woke her up AGAIN. And then we made him stay in there while she screamed again. And then at 2 she woke up and screamed for a while and mh snapped at me that I need to discuss with him before deciding to sleep train (eyeroll, we did). So he's still asleep and I'm okay with that since I have no desire to see him right now.

Yes, I was going to ask if you'd talked to the realtor yet but didn't want to be presumptuous/nosy. But yeah, that extra bedroom is probably looking better and better right about now!

I spoke to her on Wednesday, and set an appointment for two weeks out. That gives us the time to get all of our documents to the mortgage broker and get the painter/electrician out for an issue we're having with the downstairs bathroom. ETA: to tag flamingo and don't worry ask away!

guster I want another bedroom too! Excited about you talking to a realtor! We talked about undoing the office & making it a third bedroom, but I don't feel comfortable sleeping up on the third floor with one kid all the way in the basement. I'm just gonna have to wait it out. I am a little nervous that it's going to take a long time to sell her townhouse, but fingers crossed!
