guster, see that's the thing, I don't want to spend all that money and then it come right back in. That's where I'm at too. My sister had it done on her face because she has a lot of really thick course hair that grows on her face. It just came right back I think that may be because it was from a hormone imbalance or thyroid problem or something.

I’ve heard pregnancy can cause hair to grow back after laser hair removal so I want to do it, but after I’m done having kids.

guster, see that's the thing, I don't want to spend all that money and then it come right back in. My coworker, who is also Hispanic, had laser hair done on her arms, legs, arm pits & bikini line. Some hairs on her arms & legs regrew after a year, but not all of it. Her bikini line is still fine though. She said she’s happy she did it because she was very hairy. She had it done about 8 years ago.

It may depend on how good the equipment and tech are too. I’ve never done it so I don’t know for sure.

That's awful, wedding. I'm glad you got checked out and hope you heal quickly. How's everyone at your house, inthekitty? Everyone is finally better. Scott finally passed his kidney stone (yay!!). My cold mostly resolved. I still have a hacking cough but Maddie's had one for about 2 months now so I'm not expecting it to go anywhere soon. On the plus side Scott and I both lost 8 pounds over the holidays due to being sick. Scott has been more helpful with both the kids and household and just overall considerate than he has in years. It's made an incredible difference. Thanks for asking. You guys desperately need a break. Allergic to the Zpac? Sheesh. The universe needs to be kinder to you. Glad to hear you guys have turned a corner. Yeah, Zpac has never been a problem for me before. I am allergic to Biaxin though, and the urgent care doc said they are related so it's not too surprising. I finally ended up at ER because I had the worst intractable headache. They gave me some kind of migraine cocktail IV and now it's about 90% gone. The ER was nuts. People lining the halls in gurneys, on stools, vomiting everywhere. It seriously looked like a scene from "Outbreak" or something.

This is true, but my understanding is that it mostly has to do with the type of hair a person has. The laser responds well to thick, darker hair.

ETA: I see vino and I cross posted.

I'm a poster child for this treatment then.

Oh man cagoldi. I'm sorry. On a good night the ER is not a pleasant place to be. On the night of a super moon I can just imagine how bad it was. I hope you finally start to feel human again.

Laser is also on my to do list once both boys are out of day care. I'm pretty pale in my pits and other areas that don't get sun (may be TMI, sorry!), and my hair is dark, so I hope that I have no problems when I go for it.

I had it done years ago (like 2001-2002 ish). I didn't finish treatments b/c I got busy/poor, but I liked it. I was a poster child for it. I'm very pale and have lots and lots of very dark hair. I was actually just thinking the other day how I still have almost no lip hair. But other places that I grow hair came back, and is possibly worse (but this is after 15 years and 2 kids, so take that with a grain of salt.
I would love to do it on my legs b/c I have to shave every day (when I bother to), but the amount of time and money that would take makes it prohibitive.
