Being on my 4th you’d think I’d have an absolute favorite baby carrier but I’ve never bought a nice one. But i need a comfortable one since I’ll have three others to chase around as well.
So talk to me about baby carriers! What are you planning on getting? Which have you had and loved? Which have you hated?
Right now I’m considering a Tula and a lillebaby.

I loved my moby. I borrowed a friends chicco, but it didn’t feel very secure. I also didn’t try too hard with it, either. The moby was easy peasy tho.

Loved my ergo, but it's also the only one I've used.

I'm going to be getting a moby or similar, and a ring sling. The Tula FTG is on my wishlist but I'll see if I can get it in the end. We have a lending library here that I'm planning on checking out in a couple of months, just to get a feel for things :-)

Love my woven wraps, but there’s a definite learning curve. Doable, but only if you’re interested.
If I were in the market for a buckle carrier, I’d get one that doesn’t need an insert. Probably a Soul Slings Anoona personally but I’ve got a list around here somewhere if anyone is interested, I can post it.
I’ve got an ergo360 from DS, and I liked it but hated the insert so I didn’t start using it til 3-4 months. It took a while to break in the stiff canvas too.
Oh and I love baby k’tan for the early months. Kinda a pain because it’s sized like a t shirt, so it’s not necessarily easily shared amongst caregivers, but it’s simple and packs in the diaper bag well.
I could go on & on about carriers haha.
Most people love ring slings esp for newborns but I don’t. I’ve got one, though, so maybe I’ll find the love with this upcoming baby.

Loved my ktan active for DD, who was a Summer baby. We used an ergo 360 from 6 months on, and I loved it as well.
This time, with twins, I’m getting a weego twin carrier- it allows you to carry both on your front for the first 6 months.

I loooved my Tula with DD. We used it from 7ish months to almost 2yo. Before that I had K’tan that I adored but towards the end she got pretty heavy in it but wasn’t quite ready for Tula (I never had an insert). So I’m going to get a Tula FTG this time around.

I really love Tula. I have three of them currently, two canvases and a WC. I am eying a FTG coast, but just waiting on a print that I have to have.
I also have a woven wrap, an Infantino mei tei, a Moby wrap, and a Solly wrap. I loved the Solly when my middle was itty bitty and will definitely be breaking that out again.

I do have a moby wrap but i only used it for maybe a month with my first. I’m leaning toward the lillebaby right now because you don’t need an infant insert, and there are quite a few on sale on their website right now.

I used the Boba wrap religiously for about 5 months and looooved it. After that I used the Boba 4g and Tula. I preferred the Tula.

I am like lemons, I used the Boba wrap until DD was about 3 months and then switched to the Boba 4G. I like it, H used it more than me when we were hiking and such because it can be front wear or back wear. I won’t buy a new one for this baby but maybe one that could do front wear while facing out would be nice.

I have the lillebaby and I love it. V was obsessed with being held, so I got a lot of use out of it. It was comfortable and held up great.
ETA: I started using it as soon as V hit 8 lbs, which was around 4-6 weeks I believe. There is no insert needed, but we put a rolled up receiving blanket in the bottom to prop him up until he grew a bit.

Loved my Tula. We used it up until about 2 years. I used a RS with DD but I wasn't a huge fan so I'm going to get the Tula FTG this time around since because I don't want to deal with an insert.

I wanted to baby wear with O but he wasn't really a fan. I had some sling and the Ergo360. The Ergo bothered my c-section incision for the first 6 weeks and I couldn't figure out my sling. He hated facing in in the Ergo so once I switched him he liked it more. I did like the Ergo when I used it but my kid has always been in the 95th+ percentile for weight and height so it became uncomfortable to wear him pretty quickly. I never figured out the back carry for him.
I plan on looking into something different for this baby since I'll be chasing a 3 yo when it's born.

With DD I used a Moby wrap in the beginning, then an Ergo, and moved up to a toddler Tula when she was big enough. I still have all of them but am debating a ring sling this time around too. I tried wrapping but I couldn't get the hang of it

I love my Lillibaby, and ktan. I also love My ring sling. It’s kinda easy way to ease into a woven.

I have a million baby carriers!
I did not like my original ergo, it didn't fit me.
I use the ktaan, woven wrap, tula with infant insert, nyia type carrier... I think that's mostly it? I have some ring slings but they aren't my favorite.

We have a boba and an original ergo. I make big babies and the first one didn't last very long in the boba so I'm looking for something sturdier than that but lighter and better for an infant than the ergo. Any suggestions?

It's your first baby so people will want to buy you cool things. Unless Canadians don't do that? I get it, totally. I'm fairly crafty too and like to save money. But I only got my Ergo because my MIL likes to buy things for her grandbabies. I'm also a little intimidated by wraps because I don't want to drop my baby.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to register for some, but I thought it might be cool to have some custom wraps too =) First baby from both sides of the family, and first great grand baby on my hubbies side because neither of his uncles had kids. My kid is going to be sooo spoiled.

Wrapping looks like it would be more complex for me than I'd bother with, so I think I'm going to register for a Ktan for when she's itty bitty and then maybe a Tula for when she's bigger.

Wrapping is super easy, guys! Especially with a stretchy wrap when itty bitty! The k’tan is annoying because you have to make sure you have it sized correctly. The stretchies are for all. My H & I both used the stretchy & later the Tulas back & forth.

I hated my Moby or DS did. I loved my Mei Tai when DS was a bit older and wanted to be carried around all the time. I have an Ergo 360 this time around and considering a Lillebaby or Tula.

I had gotten a boba wrap, but hated using it. It was way too much work for me to wrap all that fabric every time I wanted to use it. I ended up getting a k'tan, which I loved. We also have the ergo 360, which DH is a big fan of, and I switched to once DD was about 5 months old.
