tallb I’m going to start giving him miralax because it’s awful when he’s backed up. My only worry is if i give too much and he’s at school what will he do?! He won’t go at school and he’s still going in a diaper at home. We both know that O probably won’t start going on the potty until Z does so we will try to train her soon. klong11 C was an early potty trainer. At what age did you start? And how long did it take for her to “get” it? Will he wear a pull-up at school? Or will he ask for a pull-up at school? We told him his choice was to use the potty or ask for a pull-up if he had to poop. He had accidents for a week or so but has since turned a corner and seems to have night trained himself now too for pee. Are you guys going to be home over break? It could be a good time to try. Our doctor had us do a miralax clean out over the weekend. Half cap sat am, same in afternoon, then half cap every morning.. which we are still doing. He had several accidents after the first weekend, but I think bc he couldn't judge if he could hold it or if he even had to go. After a while though he started going more and now is finally saying he needs to go and going on his own. Our doc says to do miralax for months bc it can quickly relapse. Also said that pee accidents are often due to constipation bc they can't feel their bladder bc it's squashed from their impacted intestines. We also got some book about poop hurting and talked about where it goes in his body, which I think helped a bit. We also do matchbox cars for every poop and m&Ms for trying, but are starting to not need them. Feel free to pm me for moral support or if you have questions. Sh*ts tough and it seems like a prevalent problem according to google..

Oh wedding he's the most loved cat and you are such a caring owner. It's heartbreaking when it's almost time, but that is just a sign that they had a good full life. He's a lucky cat to have you.

Also said that pee accidents are often due to constipation bc they can't feel their bladder bc it's squashed from their impacted intestines. My pediatrician mentioned that kids who are typically constipated often have a difficult time night training because of the enlarged colon pushing on the bladder. Because we are nowhere near it, she suggested upping the fiber content in Josie's diet, and having her sit regularly on the potty after meals. Someone else mentioned this the other day, but my brain is mush and I can't remember who. ETA: stuck in a box and I'm not sure why.

tallb He’s never pooped his pants before but imagine if miralax makes things looser it could happen. He’s also night trained, it’s really only the poop we struggle with. His school is a proper school not a day care so i don’t even know that they would change a diaper. I also don’t know the social consequences. I’m sure he’d be really embarrassed. I’d hope to avoid him needing to go at school if i can. We are home next week so I’m thinking of doing miralax and attempting the potty since maybe he’ll have less control and it’ll be quicker due to miralax. Is a half a cap the normal dose (to the line) or half of the normal dose? Just wondering so i don’t do too much.

HBD SweetPotato & chrisy01 🎈 🥂 I’m sorry about Max wedding.... that is never easy. What is your husbands first language wineallthetime? MH and his siblings all got sent to Puerto Rico to live with their grandma as kids and didn’t know any Spanish.... that’s how they learned! I have just caught up for the day. I have had horrible anxiety today. Usually I drink to calm down but I’m using it too much as a crutch. So I didn’t drink and it got out of hand. I guess I need to try to get on a med. Now kids are down for bed (watching a movie) I gotta do homework!

sands42, Romanian. Also, sorry about the anxiety. It sucks. I've totally been there with using alcohol and I can definitely see why some people with anxiety develop alcohol problems because of it. It's so easy to have a couple drinks to relax! I hope you can find a med that helps so you can go back to drinking worry free!

snoopmommymom We use the miralax powder. At first he told me to start with 2 teaspoons and then we upped it to 1 tbsp. Also he said not to switch brands once you start using it because the ingredients can vary, dosage wise.

I know what you guys mean.... it’s no use fighting the food during the week leading up to Xmas. Everyday last week there was a new homemade treat sitting in our kitchen. It’s continued into this week. And of course I’m going to help myself everyday, duh. I swear last week was the best week to start a keto diet and this week is perfect to slowly come off it. Now I get to enjoy xmas with little guilt.

Also he said not to switch brands once you start using it because the ingredients can vary, dosage wise. An adult dose is a full cap I think, so they said do a half cap - I eyeball it. My ped said her girls have complained when she tried the generic type, so she recommends miralax brand bc it dissolves best. We do about 6 ounces of apple juice at breakfast. snoopmommymom the first weekend there was lots of pull-ups. I'd focus on clearing him out and going regularly without it hurting and then tackling pull-up vs potty. Have him sit regularly with a stool, but I'd keep him in pull-ups while doing this between bathroom visits. We had a pajama weekend for the occasion. Good luck!

As far as Z goes, do you sit her on the potty at all? Daycare started putting M on the potty a few months before she turned 2. It helped that there were other kids in the class that were potty trained. Sometimes she’d sit on the potty for me before bath and sometimes she wouldn’t. We switched to panties a few months after she turned 2. snoopmommymom

snoopmommymom we are exact twins down to the school situation. I had to lie and say he’s fully potty trained to get him in and they don’t allow/change pull-ups. When we are doing miralax he sharts a lot. Like every day. But not enough that anyone else notices. He’s out of school this week and next and we are doing “poopoo boot camp” where I sit him on the potty and make him try every two-three hours. Yesterday (day 1) he cried the first time and fake pushed the first few times. But already today he is seeming more comfortable on the toilet. I’m going to pump him full of miralax and prune juice over the next few days until there is basically no way to hold it in.

I have no poop stories but E says his teacher was out with the stomach bug today. So maybe tomorrow I'll have poop stories? That is the 1 illness we don't skip getting. I'm holding my breath for the holidays and or trip to Chicago. I missed out on my "end of diet meal out" today because no way E was sitting still after xmas party treats. There's always tomorrow.

Tonight was....stressful. My child was already at an 11 by the time we got to swim class and I was running on fumes. Mh goes bowling on Tuesdays so I had to do bedtime in my own, then I remembered teeth brushing....then I remembered the leg stretches. Then, since she always has to make bedtime a shit show, it was a shit show. We yell, we cry, we pout, until someone concedes and falls asleep. Usually her, but tonight was a close one.

I believe her birthday is early feb so if you wanted you could probably start right now.
