I'm struggling today with this diet but only 1.5 days left. I don't know how people do long term Keto diets my mind has been foggy all week and it isn't from hunger but from my diet changes. It's nice out but I don't want to do anything

And on a positive note, Colin actually spent some time during swim class IN the pool! He even had fun, so hopefully he'll keep progressing.

Ha! Well, we went, but didn't even make it through the previews because it was too loud for him. Sigh. Third attempt at a movie and it always ends the same. Why can't my kid just relax and enjoy something?! Our theater has special showings for stimulus sensitive patrons where they don't turn the lights down as much, don't turn the volume as high, and allow the attendees to get up and walk around if needed. You might see if yours has anything like that for him. This is a good idea, thank you!

I’m annoyed. My face literally burns every day whenever I put any product on it (and it lasts for a while after applied) and new acne is popping up every day. I got these meds from the derm to help with acne but instead I’ve swapped that problem for new ones. I’m also getting acne where it never really was a problem before. I have a follow up in a few weeks so I hope she has some better answers. Have you ever tried a PH cleanser? I've never dealt with terrible acne but they definitely have helped to the point I never get breakouts anymore. Ever. I’ve tried different things but my main issue is hormonal acne, which is what I wanted to get rid of. I don’t think this is working though.

We just got home from the family holiday get together...and ended up bringing 3 of my nieces home with us. They are 10 and 12 so all of them are playing together and with my girls. Later we are bringing them home and I’m leaving H there for a sleep over.

I’ve tried different things but my main issue is hormonal acne, which is what I wanted to get rid of. I don’t think this is working though. That's what I usually got, too. Pretty much always around my period but ever since I tried the PH cleanser it's not been a problem. I actually didn't even try it for that reason, I was just getting random spots of texture that I was hoping to clear up and it worked for that also. I was a little nervous about trying it since my skin is pretty sensitive but that's not been an issue. Would have been nice if I were one of the girls who saw a vast improvement in my skin by dropping dairy but nope, no such luck.

Some of my coworkers are already texting about being an hour late. Which means I’ll probably be sitting there by myself holding the table like Carrie Bradshaw in the birthday episode. Can’t wait. *sarcasm*

The neurologist arrived! She’s 98% sure he has Guillain-Barré syndrome with a Miller Fisher variance (which means he can’t move his eyes side to side). He’s getting an MRI of his back to confirm. Good news is 97% of kids with this recover between 1-4 weeks. He’ll have to stay in the hospital at least a week for treatment though.
Thanks to everyone for good thoughts/vibes/prayers.

Great news, tgrimes! I've seen a lot of kids with that and MH had it as a kid. It's so bizarre to me, but a great prognosis!

Thanks y’all. Sorry to PNR, my phone battery was low. So we just got home. She was so, so good thru all the poking and prodding. They couldn’t see anything on X-rays but she was really favoring her right leg. They’re speculating an occult fracture at the base of her tibia...super common in toddlers. So she’s in a splint and we’ll have to go into orthopedist this week to have it re-X-ray’d and see how she’s doing. Depending on what he thinks they might have to cast it, not sure. 😫 Poor girl won’t be able to walk with the splint on so I’m going to have a little vegetable baby for a bit😞 oh, and we have to keep her foot elevated at night so that’ll be delightful. I’m praying we’ll get lucky and it’s just a sprain but mentally preparing for worst case scenario.

flamingo, great update. I'll be keeping her in my thoughts and hoping it's nothing more serious. OMG to having her keep her leg elevated at night...how does one do that??

Your guess is as good as mine. She is 100% a stomach sleeper, and of course you can’t have anything too soft in the crib. The discharge nurse suggested a foam wedge. I was thinking a pool noodle. I just can’t imagine that she will keep her foot on *anything* so I guess we’ll be going in every so often overnight to check on her.
