Weeks pregnant: 25w1d
Baby is the size of a: Head of napa cabbage
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Not until the first week in Jan.
Symptoms: Nausea.
Milestones: -
Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm having a hard time re-hydrating after the stomach bug this weekend so my BH have been pretty constant. Last night they were starting to get a bit painful which I was a little concerned about but that went away. I'm really going to work on hydration today.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Every year on Christmas Eve my grandmother would make homemade pasta and the seven fishes. I started helping her when she got sick and since she was hospitalized and passed away, I've been doing it myself for the past 3-4 years. It's not always the same people but it's my favorite day of the year. I just love feeding everyone and I love carrying on what my grandmother started.
My homemade pasta is not *quite* as good as hers though.

Weeks pregnant: 27 Baby is the size of a: camping lantern or bunch of bananas FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM Team: Blue Appointments: waiting on my glucose test currently, then next midwife appt jan 2 Symptoms: crazy lots off kicking, heartburn & with our travels over the weekend I experienced for the first time both a little swelling in my feet and what I think was a little restless leg syndrome 😶 the RLS is not something I want to deal with. Milestones: 2ND viability milestone Rants/Raves/Vents: just feeling meh about life in general. If I catch up on sleep it should help GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Idk that we have that many traditions yet, but usually dh's family comes over Christmas Eve and we do snack and Christmas goodies and hot drinks instead of supper. But DH is working this year 😣 This silhouette is from not quite 26 weeks, but I didn't get around to HDBD last week

Here is a (very messy) stack-up of my silhouettes so far. Kinda fun to see how I've grown. I've taken them every several weeks, not weekly

Weeks pregnant: 24w6d Baby is the size of a: Atlantic puffin, GI Joe FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM (4th pg) Team: Blue Appointments: 3rd time around a/s on Friday, checkup next week Symptoms: It feels like I twisted my ankle a couple weeks ago, and it's still sore to walk on. Milestones: Viability! Rants/Raves/Vents: I think we're set on a name, and I'm torn on if I want to share with family at Christmas. I think it would be cute, but I'd feel like I have to give the caveat like I did with DS1 that they have to like the name. The only one I worry about reacting not-positively is SIL, because she has no poker face or filter. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? As evidenced by all the clothespin cookie talk in randoms last week, the cookies! I'm excited for our kids to get old enough to bake with. Or at least make a mess of decorating cutout cookies with. A non-from the side pic this week, since I was excited to get this shirt in the mail 😂

Weeks pregnant: 25 Baby is the size of a: baseball glove/prairie dog FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: girl Appointments: ultrasound next Thursday Symptoms: so much heartburn and indigestion Milestones: Rants/Raves/Vents: I miss sleep and being able to eat food. We have a catered luncheon today that is so much yummy food but I'm scared to eat it because I don't want to be sick again tonight. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? It's hard because so many of the traditions we used to do have stopped since we've gotten older and busier and I miss them. Last year we had my in laws sleep over on Christmas Eve and we did a little box for DD with pajamas, hot chocolate, a movie, and a book. We all changed into pajamas and drank hot chocolate while watching the movie with DD and it was a lot of fun. We will be doing the same this year so I'm hoping to continue this as a tradition. Excuse the messy work bathroom picture.

Weeks pregnant: 24, 5
Baby is the size of a: GI Joe figure, Puffin, Mr. Burn's teddy bear, eggplant (again)
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: First take-home baby
Team: Green
Appointments: December 19 with perinatology
Symptoms: My back sucks, dizziness is a thing
Milestones: Viability last Friday!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I don't know if my back hurts because pregnancy or because I have back problems in general, but man does it suck. Also, I keep getting up too fast now because I've gotten really dizzy the past couple of days when I stand up. Gonna have to start moving like a turtle already!
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Going to my H's extended family every Christmas Eve. We've been doing it most years we've been together and it's honestly one of my favorite times of year and I look forward to it for months in advance. It's nothing particularly special, sometimes we go out, sometimes we go to their house, but it's always nice to be surrounded by family and fun and the food is excellent.

Weeks pregnant: 22+3
Baby is the size of a: guinea pig/ corn on the cob
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: stm
Team: blue
Appointments: 12/28
Symptoms: Being tired all the time. The meds I'm on finally seem to be helping with the nausea and vomiting.
Milestones: I saw my belly move a little this morning when the baby was kicking. We should be able to feel him from the outside soon.
Rants/Raves/Vents: My mom and sister were driving me crazy this weekend when I went to visit. My mom wanted to take a picture of my belly to send to my sister. My sister was coming over to our parents house about lunch time. I don't particularity like having my picture taking in the first place...and definitely not right after I wake up before I take a shower.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? I like giving new pjs Christmas Eve. We make some hot chocolate, popcorn, and watch a Christmas movie before bed.

Weeks pregnant: 22w5d
Baby is the size of a: water bottle
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Green
Appointments: nothing until after Christmas
Symptoms:back pain, RLP, acid reflux, pregsomnia
Milestones: first stranger to comment on my belly - thankfully she was super nice.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m just so tired. I cannot wait until next weekend so everything will be ready to go for Christmas and we can just relax and enjoy it all.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Literally all of Christmas. Matching PJs, family time, fried dough in the morning, taking turns opening presents really slowly, just soaking it all in. I think we have a good mix of easy, low stress tranditions and nothing HAS to be done each year. Mastering the relaxed but still festival and special Christmas is 🙌🏼

Weeks pregnant: 28+5
Baby is the size of a: coconut
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: blue
Appointments: next Tuesday
Symptoms: pelvic/back pain and RLP
Rants/Raves/Vents: Was told by a coworker that I don’t know super well that I look like I’m about to pop and she guesses I’ll probably have this baby before the new year. Try again lady, I have 11 weeks to go. I do need to rave about MH though. He’s been so wonderful this whole time... understanding when I need to rest/relax, helping me more around the house, and being so so excited about this baby. I have so many complaints usually but he’s a major rave.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? My dad likes to label a few presents from random or made up people that relate to the gift. For example, one year I got a few seasons of 24 and the gift was from Jack Bauer, or a Blu-ray player from Mr. Ray Blue. He doesn’t do it as much now that we’re older, but it was always fun to try to guess the gift. It seems so silly explaining it, but he’s always done it so it seems so normal to me.

Weeks pregnant: 19+4. I'll be delivering 20 weeks from yesterday at the very latest!
Baby is the size of a: hedgehog, zucchini, or gameboy.
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: third
Team: pink!
Appointments: nothing until 1/3. I saw the MFM and OB last week.
Symptoms: Still nauseous & vomiting on the regular, but that’s my normal the 30some weeks I know I’m pregnant; sinus issues; sleep issues; forgetfulness. It’s so much fun.
Milestones: I'm pretty sure I'm feeling hiccups, but so far, they're at my pelvic bone area and not in my butt, so I'm enjoying them.
Rants/Raves/Vents: we're getting a shitton of snow right now and our school district already called a snow day for tomorrow. OH! And I watched all four seasons that Netflix had of The Great British Baking Show over the last week. Mary Berry is goals, obviously. Then, I remembered that H & I enjoyed the American Baking Show and found the newest season on Hulu. I tried to watch it, except Mary Berry isn't a judge, and I'm not a fan.
GTKY: We've celebrated Christmas with my mom's family on Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember and my cousins and I would have to sing carols for presents from our grandparents, aunts & uncles, then grandpa would play grumpy Santa. Basically, he had trouble reading all the different handwritings & would get flustered, so it was usually me sitting next to him and whispering who it was for/from. We've all since grown up & started having our own families, so it's now us cousins buying for each other's kids for Christmas Eve. My grandpa passed away earlier this year and this year, I get to be grumpy Santa.

tinyjoys I’m sorry about your grandpa. Hopefully being grumpy Santa will bring back some happy memories of him. I have such wonderful memories spending Christmas Eve with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. My cousins are starting to be old enough to have their own families now, but I hope we can continue to get together like your family does!

clementine, if I'm being completely honest, I'm sure that once my grandma passes away, hopefully many many years down the road, it'll just be us with my mom & siblings. My extended family already treats gram like an inconvenience, which I absolutely hate since she's the sweetest lady in the world and would do anything for anyone ever.

Weeks pregnant: 28w 1d
Baby is the size of a: rollerblade
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: green
Appointments: uhhh. I need to schedule drs appt. I have a growth scan on Jan 10.
Symptoms: hip pain, fatigue, heart burn and nausea - I think baby shifted up and is crowding my stomach.
Milestones: third tri?!
Rants/Raves/Vents: H finally has a day off (before going back on Friday) and it’s been nice having him home today. Gs been in a mood so it was good to have back up.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? This is hard since things have been weird at Christmas the last couple years.
Tl;dr- rant about family. My mom passed away 8 years ago - she was the one who was really into Christmas. The last couple years we’ve been spending Christmas with my dads girlfriend and her family. Which is fine except when she invites her dad, sister, nieces, nephews and her son in laws parents. Aka people I’ve never met before. Sooo... ya it’s awkward. And then we don’t spend holidays with Hs family because of his sister.
H works Christmas Day this years so we’re celebrating a few days early with just my sisters, dad and gf. Maybe a breakfast with stepsiblings. So it’s a bit nicer and not so overwhelming.
That being said, we’re trying to introduce the tradition of new pajamas on Christmas Eve - something neither of us grew up with but we wanted to do with all the craziness.
