I’m so annoyed because the 2 times I fed A, I could not fall back asleep again for HOURS. Like, just wide awake. I didn’t even play on my phone or anything, so I should have just been able to fall back asleep. 🙄

I'm so behind on everything. I will just say +1 to not napping, not falling sleep quickly, multiple wake ups, and fussy eating. We will get through it!!!! I tried one arm swaddling last night and it wasn't as bad as I thought. He took about an hour to go down around 9:30 and then was up at 1 and 5. He is super cute with the one arm out. addymac I hope you can find a great nanny at the right price kristyw I second you on the toddler wakeups adding chaos. I swear he still sleeps worse than his brother. The three year old was up at 3 and then 5:20

So yep. J woke up twice last night to eat. Not sure what that was about. as for naps...he fights them about half the time. When he fights it it's a struggle and takes bout 30 minutes to get him down . Otherwise he goes down in about 5 minutes but I'm still holding, rocking him to sleep.

Today was DS1 birthday. My little baby is 3 or really a threenager. We had his birthday this past Saturday (dinosaurs) and he had a blast. It’s been a cray like no weekend, plus this little guy loves to wake every 1.5 hours. Hoping for a better night so I can just sleep! I also now have some weird family drama. Luckily most of the family is on my side.. Yay for H! Also, sorry for the family drama :/ Hopefully, it resolves soon so you can relax!

So after waking up several times last night j had 4 good naps today. He fought 2 of them so hard but had 3 45 minute naps and 1 hour and a half nap. I got so much done!
Also, we took him out today in the snow and he was fine until the wind blew it in his face then he wailed poor guy

I miss sleep. Both kids have decided to wake up multiple times a night. And I cannot figure our J's naps. My daughter transitioned herself through naps and was predictable until about 1. He is all over the place with short and long naps that I cannot figure out a pattern. He will fall asleep at night by 9:30 or 10 but then all bets are off as to how long he will sleep. This is pissing me off because before we went away for Thanksgiving both were basically going through the night with one possible wake up for her and one feeding for him. I am over this... I feel like we are the same person! DS1 was predictable for naps and would go down for a nap anywhere. (He sucked a nighttime sleeping) this kid is all over and it changes everyday. Also in the same boat in regards to night waking. Last night it was every 2 hours after initial put down.

Hah could be coincidence but just after reading that link yesterday I feel the sleep regression has started here as well lol. D went doen at 11.30 (finally, started at 9.30 but ended up needing a change cause of a blow out and I could start all over) but so far woke up at 3.30 and 4.30. She fell back asleep herself the first time (so proud) but is still awake now at 4.50. Fx she once I get her to sleep again she will sleep a couple hours before waking again.

Sorry guys. N gives me zero down time these days to read and comment. Sorry for everyone’s struggles atm’
I’m so tired. Going to bed has been easier but he is waking up so much at night and eating I’m exhausted. And he won’t go back In his rnp after midnight. 😴😴😴
He did bf all day yesterday! Even when we were out! I was so happy!!

How the hell did anyone get their babies in the crib?????? Everyday it’s an epic fail ugh. So discouraging. My first napped fine in the crib but not till like 5 months so maybe I just need to wait it out. The only napping taking place is on me lately sigh..,.

We've tried several times but 15 minutes is about as long as he makes it. I think if we stay consistent it might work. I plan on trying over christmas. It took over a week to get him sleeping well in the pnp at night so I'm betting the crib will be similar.

Yeah she will hang out in it like 15 mins but literally can be asleep on me, I put her in there and her eyes instantly open and wide awake lol.

Is anyone currently transitioning their baby from the swaddle--I think king26 is, but can't remember for sure. Baby H suddenly decided on Sunday night that the swaddle was the devil. I think it's because he's suddenly much more aware of his hands and can grab things now. He's like, "I have hands!! Gimme!" But he still has the Moro reflex and wakes in like 45 min with no swaddle at all. The last two nights I've swaddled one arm in, and it's okay--he woke up twice each night. Now, I don't know how long I swaddle one arm in and when to switch to no swaddle. With ds1 we used something similar to the zipadeezip but it didn't work and we think it contributed to his flat head--that's why I haven't tried that or the swaddleup. I'm not even sure this post makes sense, lol. And can I swaddle my 3 year old? He wakes up more than the baby.

I'm super irritated eight now. Earlier I made chili for dinner. I held j the entire time I made it. 20 minutes before dinner I ask DH to hold him so I can make cornbread. He says he needs to flip the laundry. He then asks how long until dinner. I tell him and he immediately makes himself hot dogs and buns instead of doing laundry and can't figure out why I'm pissed. I ended up setting j in bouncy chair for 5 minutes so I could make the cornbread. Then I hang out with j and DH serves the dinner and cleans up and says he is like a single mother doing everythinv. Are you kidding me? I made an entire pit if chili from scratch while holding our baby in one arm. I have also entertained j all day, changed his diapers , put him down for naps, and wrapped Xmas presents. I've got news for him....next week is going to be a rude awakening when I go back to work.

We did try but he was waking up every 2 hours without a swaddle so we went to the swaddle up which he lives since he can chew his hands in it.

R rolled back to belly today. I text my mom to tell her and she was like, “oh yeah, she did that earlier.” So, she’s rolled twice.

So j woke up to eat tonight then was wide awake. He was pretty amazing though. He sat in me, was smilimg, and quiet. I gave him his pacifier and he sat sucking it for almost 15 minutes and then put himself to sleep on my lap while I was working on something. I wish he could do that for nap time!

So D gets a follow up bottle before bed since my boobs are most broken at night time. I want to buy a Dr Browns bottle in hopes it helps with air as burps get stuck lately and keep her from falling asleep and wakes her up. Which nipple should I get to go with it??

I think DD1 did the same D can only roll tummy to back and doesnt at all seem to be interested in rolling the other way 😊 Any one else's babies get their arms in the way for rolling?

Also ... the 4mo sleep regression is a go here for real. The precious nights D woke several times but usually just for a brief period with maybe one or two fusses and I didnt really have to do anything. But I was up at 3.30 and 4.30 and 6 night before last and MH and I both were up for an hour motn tonight and she was crying and what not and I even nursed her at 3am which I havent in weeks. Oy!
I can see why it may be good to move baby into her own room though. When she is half awake motn she responds to everything she hears.. which isnt good when YH is a loud noisy storing sleeper... or maybe he should move into her room?? Hahaha

muscari we also use size 1. Size 2 is tooooo fast even for my hungry hippo of a boy. king26 oh lord. I would have flipped a shit on DH if he had said / done what your DH did. Not cool at all. Also, AMAZING that J is such a good sleeper! I’m so jealous, haha. jt2378 sorry for bad sleeping. Same here. I think I got one stretch of two hours. That’s it. And he spent 90% of the night in our bed bc he’s go apeshit when in his rnp. Let’s not talk about how he does in the pnp these days. Maybe it’s the 4mo regression hitting a week early?? Ssdd here. I’m trying so hard to soak up these last few days of just n and I time but he is making it so hard when I am so tired every night and he doesn’t want to be held by DH. And then DH is so sad N doesn’t want to be held by him and he gets so upset and almost cried when he was telling me how hard it is that he can barely hold his own son. It broke my heart. I don’t know what to do to make N let him hold him without freaking out. Also makes me worry for going back to work and then DH is going to have to handle bedtime and motn wake ups. Ugh.
