sweetc129 It's a perineal abscess. I mentioned it in the weird symptoms thread, had my OB look at it during an appointment a few weeks ago, and she lanced/drained it, but did warn me it could come back. I'm not entirely sure if it has or I'm just feeling the scar tissue more now. H didn't seem to think it had reoccured, but I might try to make an appointment anyway because he said it looked kinda red and dnw to deal with a perineal infection nope nope nope. If it's red definitely go get it checked. That sounds awful, I'm sorry you're dealing with that. Hope it's nothing, but better to be safe.

Rama, they may have lanced it too soon. That’s what my doctor was afraid of doing when I had my boil a couple months ago. The infection itself was still too deep that lancing it at the point when I went would have extended its stay & healing time.
