I’m feeling pretty good today. Once E fell asleep around 10:00 last night, she was totally chill all night and into this morning. Not having to rock/bounce/sway around my house for hours on end has done wonders for my mood.

Morning. Nothing much today for me. I'm going to call my OB today about my headaches and ask to restart my PPD meds, then grocery shopping. That's all I've got. Hoping both kids will take it easy on me today.

Getting the 5 year old off to school, then my sister is coming over to watch the 2.5 year old and wait for the 5 year old to be done school (his kindergarten is only half-days) while I take N to his 2 week appt. My pedi is an hour away (sounds dumber than it really is- we live in a tiny “city” with nothing so we are used to driving to the “big city” for EVERYTHING) so my sister will wait at our house and watch Nora and her kids will be here.
Then this afternoon I really want to start on Christmas cookies but we will see how my energy level is to start that.

Tired this morning but drinking coffee on the couch instead of napping because B wants to lay with me. I finally signed up for Netflix yesterday so I feel like I have all the tv in the world available now instead of the today show and hgtv, lol.

I haven’t watched the Today show in years, but now I totally want to watch out of morbid curiosity to see how they cover Lauer being a total F-ing creep.

TMI - I went to the doc yesterday about my random bleeding and she gave me Mifeprex to get my ute to clear out. Holy cramps and diarrhea. I was supposed to take another dose this morning but I didn’t. A lot of fluid came out yesterday and I don’t want to feel that crappy (literally) all day today.

I took DS1 to daycare this morning, now I’m snuggling the babe and drinking coffee. We are going to my parent’s house today to make Christmas cookies/candies.

bazi, how much were you bleeding when you called? Mine seemed like it was tapering off last week, only a bit of light brown discharge, but now it's back to bright red. I haven't leaked or soaked through anything, it's just a lot more than it had been recently. I'm 5 weeks pp. I bled for a long time with my other two, but I don't remember it being so inconsistent.

Any thoughts on making our BMB password protected? I love sharing photos of DS2 but it creeps me out a bit that like ... anyone can see them. I'm pretty sure it can be done by an admin.
I really want to make cookies now that several of you have mentioned them! I will be making molasses cookies (sound like old people cookies, but they are SO good) for our neighbors in a couple weeks.

Z/DS3 has his speech evaluation today. This is his 2nd one (1st at 18mo), last time they passed him because he said “huh” as a random sound while they were here.

bethkate, that's a beautiful sunrise! cnf, I hope the kids take it easy on you and your doctor's office is able to help you with the headaches & PPD medication. bazi, yikes. Hopefully the medicine is effective despite it's not so pleasant side effects. I'd be hesitant to take another dosage too! pootsen, enjoy your snuggles & coffee! doxiemama, netflix is amazing. Hulu is good too if you run out of shows/movies. And if you already have Amazon Prime, it includes a lot of shows for free. cdnfarmgirl, I hope you have energy to start on cookie making. Yum!

grumpycat I love molasses cookies. The darker the better!!! Just hanging out with DD2 until DH comes Home at lunch time. The funeral is at 1. Now that we’re bottle feeding, the spit up has returned. I have such spitty babies.

I had soaked through a pad and my clothes when I called. It was tapering off...then random big gushes of bright red. I called because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t my stitches. She did a transvag ultrasound and there was some residual fluid in my ute. The medication just helps flush it out. She said it wasn’t a serious problem. I’m 2 weeks pp.

I’m good with making it password protected grumpycat. I feel like at this point there wouldn’t be many newbies coming by. I think.

I have an OB appointment for tomorrow morning. They could have gotten me in today, but I opted to go with one of the NP's who I really love tomorrow instead. They're going to follow up with anesthesiology too because my chronic headaches might be spinal headaches, which means I'll need a blood patch if they determine that the case. Booooooo.
DD1 smeared yogurt on the cedar trunk in our front room and drew on the walls with pen while I was on the phone with my OB and trying to email HR about sick bank leave. So that's about where we're at today. I need to wake Littlest and feed her, then hopefully get us to Wegmans to grab a few things.

That’s so frustrating. I tried to get DS1 speech therapy starting at 2 y.o. but he always barely passed their screenings. Now at 3.5 we finally got services. The SLP that did his most recent test said she couldn’t understand 90% of what he was saying.

My photographer just posted on fb that the turnaround time for full sessions is 4 weeks because she’s so busy. That means another week of waiting for our newborn photos. Boo!

Sorry I haven’t been posting the past couple days, for some reason tapa was running really slowly for me. Taking ages to even load the randoms. Luckily today it loaded right away like normal so I’m hoping this’ll post.
Just made some Jaffa cake brownies while DS was napping, DD is sleeping in her pram.
H is coming home early today so we can do the Christmas tree and house deco, DS had nursery this morning where they put up the tree with the kids, they said DS loved it so I’m hoping he will love it later.
Just prepped tea also, so that’s all ready to go when H gets home in an hour or so.
Now cuddling with the biggest kid watching TV, need to sit down as I haven’t stopped for the past 6 hours.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

The SLP that did his most recent test said she couldn’t understand 90% of what he was saying. He is 2y2m. It is frustrating because they basically need to be low scoring in at least 2 categories. He again was low in 1 - his speaking. This time the SPL that was here noticed what is happening and was able to remove the speculation she though may have been happening (not using his lips due to extended nursing - but he drinks from all sorts of cups too which uses the front of the tongue and lips). Since his 2 scores had a variant of 27 points, she was able to clinically qualify him (anything over 22 points qualifies for a clinical diagnosis). She said he is having difficulties getting his mouth to do what he is thinking and wanting to say - which is exactly what we had been saying. I wish I could remember the term she used. So he qualified using her judgement. So yay!

Morning all. I think DD must be having a growth spurt, eating between 1.5 and 2.5 hours since yesterday afternoon and fairly fussy yesterday evening, but went down pretty easily overnight thankfully.
We did manage to have salmon, scallops and salad for dinner, so that was tasty.
I was already pretty tired yesterday and not sure I'm any better today! Nothing planned though. If I get bored I'll go to yoga at 1130. I also have some donations I need to drop off, but that seems tricky alone with a baby.

I’m feeling very lazy today. N is deep into a multi-hour nap. I managed about an hour myself earlier. I’m having a hard time being content hanging around the house but I can’t think of anything to do that won’t result in me spending money.
I don’t think I mentioned it here but it seems like my short term disability payout was messed up. I got my notice yesterday and they said my weekly benefit was $360. I get paid 60% of my pay per week, and $360 works out to be 60% for 15/hr. I make quite a bit more than $15/hr. My HR lady is checking on it but it is super irritating that I’ll have to wait on them to correct it when it should have been easy for them to get it right the first time.
