I just finished week 2 😃 The run itself wasn't bad but omg the gym was so hot. I hope it doesn't stay like this all summer but I'm sure it probably will. I'll need to invest in a giant water bottle.

I also need to go here!
I've been slacking the last few months but started to get going again the last three weeks or so. I have a 10km trail run coming up in a month's time so that should be interesting.

I started week 6 yesterday. I'm kind of scared of the program at this point because it's all longer periods of running. What has been important for me to remember is that I need to run a bit slower in order to run farther.

Received the sports bra I ordered from Athleta (the "Hullabraloo"). Tried it on and lolno this is not for high impact. It's going back.
Reebok had a sale the other day and I ordered one from them so hopefully that one's a keeper.

I used to buy last season colors from the outlet by my house for dirt cheap. I actually love them though!

I got a champion one from Target that is decent, and a Victoria's Secret one that works well too. Both good for the price.

I had a crap run last night. I went out again this morning and it was much better. Hoping my 5k This weekend yields me a better time then my one from three weeks ago. Then it's time to stop fighting my body and slow my roll some.

I am on week 4 of C25K, I really want to get back to a place where a mile is easy again.

kmkd, You'll do great. Don't discount the power of the adrenaline on race day, and the support of the crowd/other runners.

I just finished w6d2. Those last 4 minutes were rough. I'm going to repeat this one a few more times. I'd like to improve my mile per minute at some point.

They're super tight, so while I'm normally a 34 band I went up to a 36 and it's still tight, but is otherwise really comfortable. I have one in a 34 band and I have to wear a bandaid at the start of the zipper bc it chafes me pretty bad.

Went for a run this morning and it was so windy I decided to cut it a little short, did 3.5km instead of 5km. The wind in this place is just ridiculous some days.

I tend to jump on my treadmill on really windy days. We did the inaugural Disney Avengers Half Marathon a few years back and there was like a two mile stretch along a dried out riverbed where everyone was just pummeled with sand because the Santa Ana winds kicked up. I thought I was going die. Hate the wind.

cnf, Does Avengers have a different course? I've done a bunch of the Disney halves and can't figure out where there's a "dried out riverbed." That sounds AWFUL.

It's the only Disney race I've ever done. It may not have been a river bed. It might have been a flood catch or something? I have no idea. It's whatever those long shallow digouts are that they film car chase scenes and things in in movies. Fear The Walking Dead has scenes from their first season in one. I make no sense. The race then turned into the Angels stadium parking lot and ran the base line, if that gives you any clue what I'm talk about.

cnf, lol it doesn't. But it does tell me it's a different course than any I've ran. I've never run through Angels stadium! That's very cool! I feel like they used to do that with the Disneyland Half Marathon, but haven't since I've run it.

I'd love to do more Disney races, but they're $$$$ and I neither live in California or Florida, so not only am I hit with an expensive registration fees but also an entire vacation price tag. Maybe some day. We treated it like our last hurrah vacation before TTC number one.

First day of week 3 ✔ it's kind of sad, but running for 3 straight minutes is the longest I've run in a really long time so I'm pretty proud of myself. Do you guys have recommendations for good running shoes that don't cost a fortune? I'm going to go look for bras and shoes soon so I'll be ready when the running gets longer!

If you have a running store, I'd go there. It's so person specific. I've always worn Nike (Pegasus right now), a lot of my college team mates swore by Asics.
