I haven't watched this series but I'm about to. It sounds like I might be too old. I grew up watching Dan Schneider on Head of the Class. I was more the You Can't Do that on Television and Double Dare era Omg. Head of the Class!! I had completely erased that show from my memory.

What do we think of Brandi's mom?
I was stunned when she said she didn't call the police.

People are pissed she was more worried about her image as a parent than the safety of potential future victims. Which like, yeah. I can understand the guilt she felt in that moment but I guess based on my own parenting experience, I cannot imagine just not informing authorities of something so egregious and inappropriate.

I would have burned it all down if an adult did that to my kid.

I watched the first episode and at the beginning was like “why does this dude look so familiar” and then they showed head of the class and I was like yup. Loved that show. I was more of the Hey Dude, Clarissa Explains it All, and Double Dare Nickelodeon age.

I had no idea Amanda Bynes was so talented. I only knew her from movies and then her breakdown. The clips of her at the Laugh Factory doing stand up at age 10 - I was like wow - she was the real deal. So sad she got taken so advantage of.

I was shocked when they said a parent had to be on the set for All That and then they said that Amanda’s dad was always there and super involved. I thought it would have been the opposite.

I pretty much stopped watching Nickelodeon after 2000, even though I probably would have still been in the age bracket for it, but I was so busy with dance etc that I just never watched tv anymore. 90s Nick was so good.

I think I saw somewhere some of the old Amanda tweets where she was posting from an alias because her parents had her real account. Her father was listed as one of her abusers in those posts. So even if he was on set a lot, he was in on it according to those tweets.

I found her annoying when I was a kid, but looking at it now, she really had talent.

So even if he was on set a lot, he was in on it according to those tweets. Oh for sure. I believe that. I mean, if he was carefully crafting his daughter’s career and was fine with her playing a child’s character with the last name taynt (just one examples), he’s part of the problem. It was just something about how they said it. The person was like “parents were supposed to on set” and then started a new sentence about Amanda and I really thought they were going to say that no one ever saw her parents. That’s what caught me off guard.

Whoa - how about those Ariana Grande scenes. Ummmm…holy inappropriate. Right?! I never watched her show because I was an adult at that point but wtf. And Grande herself was a teenager so she likely knew the connotation of the things she was doing, so how awkward and uncomfortable that must have been for her.

This documentary was bananas. Add me to age club or Clarissa Explains It All/Hey Dude/Double Dare, though I did definitely watch All That. I was too old for The Amanda Show and all those after it, but I absolutely caught some episodes when it was on.
So much that went over my head as a kid. And yikes to those Ariana Grande clips. It's a wonder she turned out ok considering Amanda crashed from it all.

A new, supplemental episode has been filmed and released.
1x5: Breaking the Silence The fifth episode features a cast member of All That who has not previously shared his story. He was motivated to come forward in part by the response to the original four episodes. It features never before seen footage. It features some of the original cast members from All That and some of the participants from the series…and they speak to the video that Dan posted. They speak to the ways in which the documentary has impacted their lives and in some cases, it’s been quite dramatic. We also speak directly with Drake Bell and are able to hear a little bit more about his response to the letter writers and some of the public statements that have been tendered around that subject. These are new interviews that were conducted after the original four episodes were released.
