We found out Thursday at 3pm that the health inspector gave our provisional permit and so placed a food order by 4pm and then opened at 5pm Friday.
It’s been a fucking whirlwind and I think I’ve slept 12 hours in the last 56. (Bless the village of friends who have housed and fed my children this weekend).
The restaurant has so far been a success for opening unannounced on a holiday weekend with a reggae fest happening.
It’s such a shit show still, but being open is better than paying bills and not being open!
Fuck. I’m tired and H is going to be there again until at least midnight.
Opening a restaurant is not for the weak!

Congratulations! Our next trip is to the wrong side of the lake, but we usually make it to your end or thereabouts from time to time and I’d love to visit!
