I know the board hates William, but it will still be hard even with help. Let's give him a little grace; the King is his dad at the end of the day.

Just saw on bbc that Harry has spoken to him and is coming to see him in next few days. That also doesn’t sound good to be honest. Oh shit.

She goes too then "she's making it all about her" She doesn't go and stays with her kids "she's purposely keeping the Kings grandchildren away from him in what could be their last chance" If they say shit about the kids, ugh. Makes me so mad. They are almost 5 and 3, they don't need to say goodbye in person.

I don't hate him. And yes it has to be absolutely awful for him to hear his dad was diagnosed with cancer. My thing was the guy on the TV was making it seem like William is spending his day bringing his wife soup at her bedside, while also cleaning the house and making the kids lunch so he couldn't do any engagements. He's not and will never be a normal dad. He has a full staff.

I was assuming prostate cancer, but is that not it? While it’s certainly not something anyone wants, it’s typically not super serious. My dad was diagnosed last year and had to do radiation treatments 5 days a week for almost two months. So I could see how that would keep Charles being able to do his normal schedule. But it seems more serious than that if Harry is coming? Idk.

I think Harry made it very clear with his coronation drive by that he was not coming back to see his family unless something very serious happened (or an apology was given, but we all know that isn't coming).
I agree there will be no winning for Meghan but imo this is between Harold and Chuck and as it is, Camilla is probably going to insist on being in the room with the two of them.

The man just walked to church yesterday, he's not at death's door. I'm not downplaying the gravity of cancer, of course. Simply saying that if God forbid it's worst case, there will be time for Meghan and the kids to come at some point.

Sometimes I try to go to worse case in my head so then when stuff is posted I don't get so mad, but sometimes it's worse 🤷♀️ Absolutely, and especially where she is concerned. It just makes me think of when my grandpa was in hospice a few years ago and while I took the twins when I went to say goodbye, it was because they were not even a year old so would never remember. My 5 year old did not go because at that age and his personality it would be more traumatic than anything. Whatever the press and others say about Meghan and Harry, they absolutely put their children first and anything they do in this situation would be with their best interests in mind first. I do think you're right though. Somehow Meghan will ruin the end of Charles's life (if indeed it is that serious). According to the press.

I came here as soon as I saw it online. Holy crap.
I wonder why they didn't announce the specific type of cancer. If it was found during the workup for the prostate issue or during the prostate procedure, I would assume it's something in that general area. So maybe prostate or bladder cancer? But why not just say what it is? That's what weird to me. But I hope this means they found it early.
I'm sure being king he has access to all sorts of state of the art treatments.

I don't necessarily think Harry coming if so is automatically something dire. He might just want to come give some support d/t recent diagnosis and before he starts any possible treatment

I don't think Harry has ever shown interest in completely cutting his family out. So no it doesn't seem weird to me for him to go visit his dad after a diagnosis. But I guess we will see!

I think we are all just in a more skeptical place than you, given the fact that every single thing the family does has to be calculated, discussed, and run through a variety of channels. To me, it would be odd if he came to visit if it was a situation where the treatment had a largely positive outcome, given the history between he and his dad at this point and how very strained they are.

If during the prostate procedure cancer was found in the surrounding nodes, and it wasn’t prostate cells, then it would mean it metastasized from another location which is not good.
Harry deciding to visit does make it seem more serious or that the family needs extra support given that C&C and W&K are busy dealing with health issues.
It would be nice to see a rekindling of familiar ties with H&M stepping back into their Royal roles but I think things may be too damaged for that to happen but a serious illness can change things.

I am guessing a colorectal type, based on finding it when they were all up in his prostate.

I want to be very clear I am not downplaying the seriousness of either situation, but my shitty take is that they're being cagey about diagnosis for sympathetic news coverage (both Chuck and Kate). All the speculation keeps them in the news in a non-negative way. I understand the desire for privacy, but being in a very prominent and public position doesn't always afford you that. Like the blowback in the US towards the Sec of Defense not giving proper notifications.
And maybe I'm completely off base, I'm in a tough/negative place mentally myself and am feeling very pessimistic. We know they'll throw people under the bus, I could see them using a serious medical condition to their optimal advantage, even if just being up front would already garner sympathy.

My first thought was an unkind one toward him and toward his late mother, who managed to screw him over once again even in death with her refusal to step aside.
So I'll just remember that I believe karma is a thing and wish all parties the best in a vague we're all humans way.

I am guessing a colorectal type, based on finding it when they were all up in his prostate. My completely snarky thought was skin cancer on his penis from naked sunbathing. I don’t really have any interest is speculating, but I appreciate that they disclosed a reason for his absence while still maintaining his privacy.

I think Harry has been pretty upfront with the fact that he wants to improve relations with his family and that he is usually the one who contacts them first. He can’t always get to them directly and has to rely on Charles’s staff to let him through. Charles doesn’t have a cell phone and there is a lot of gate keeping by his advisors.
Considering the history, I’d never want to write him about anything personal if I were him or Meghan. This is a lose, lose situation for Meghan and without Frogmore or security I wouldn’t want to bring the kids anywhere near the UK.

Daily mail is now reporting Harry is flying to the UK today. I take everything they publish with a huge grain of salt but if it’s true that’s interesting.

Meghan and Harry are scheduled to go to Vancouver 2/14-16 for Invictus. I wonder if Harry will go to the UK and then just meet Meghan in Vancouver. Things would have to be super dire for him to miss the opening count down events.

He made it to 93 on US medicare and NYS medicaid for insurance. King Charles has the best money can buy so I'd be shocked if it is prostate cancer.

It's so weird to me that Harry jumped on a plane to see Charles and then they only spent 45 minutes together.
