One of my lovely symptoms is mouth ulcers. I’ve got a giant one inside my cheek and I’m so over it. It takes forever to eat anything. And even talking hurts. I’ve got pred and peroxide mouthwash, but I’m too impatient. 🙃 Have you tried magic mouthwash? would that help? I’ve used it in the past but don’t have any ATM. If it doesn’t get better soon I’ll call for some.

I’m having a rough couple of days. For the first time in quite a while, my anterolithesis is causing foot numbness today. I laid out in the pasture with the kids last night to watch the meteor shower and could hardly stand afterward. I was in pain clinic two days this week and one of the patients told me I was moving worse than her (insert KBell laugh cry gif). My pain guy put me on his cancellation list so hopefully I get into him sooner than scheduled.

I’ve been quiet lately because I’m in the worst flare of my life. Some days I just don’t know what I’m doing anymore. Quality of life is shit.

Hi, I'm new but have lurked for a long time. Mind if I join?
For the 5th time in 5 weeks, my mid-back has gone out and the pain has extended to my right SI joint. The only week it hasn't gone out was last week when I had 9 prolotherapy shots in my mid-back and SI joints and headed back to what will be 6 weeks of PT. I'm stressed out and sick and tired of constantly throwing my back out by doing simple things like leaning forward in a chair or bending over in the shower.

I'm heading back to old standby py for dry needling for piriformis. ortho maybe refer back to pt after piriformis injection. Pelvic floor told me to stop other pt and exercises to see what we can accomplish but now that's over Now I have more leg butt pain and feel like I'm very week on left side after 3+months of nothing. And I'm not sure where to start back.

ESPECIALLY after the year I’ve had. I’ll have an ESI and maybe an oral pain med for now. I can repeat the nerve ablation in January too.

Right now my plan is for dry needling this week shot in piriformis next week pain clinic the next week, get cost for SI joint injection ask for referral for PT for piriformis and SI joint pain at least for 1 visit to figure out which exercises I should do/not do.
Still waiting on chiropractic appts to be covered by insurance. I called insurance after the denial statement says "Please submit bill to proper vendor for payment" I asked what that means, where do I send the bill? and they did not know. says chiro billing office needs to call number to get the info. which seems bizarre to me why would I not know where billing should go to for my care?

AmyG I help with SI injections a lot. They seem to really help most people who get them. Some people even get almost immediate relief.

You're not the one billing them, the provider is. So the provider has to call for prior authorization or anything like that.

Yes, my PT is amazing and has spent the last 7 years rehabbing various things on me with my ortho. So, I'm hoping this time around is also successful. I did call my ortho's office today and while he was out, his office staff did mark my message as urgent and said I should hear back tomorrow so hopefully I do get some plans and next steps.

I get to add migraines to my list. My insurance wouldn't let the urgent care doc schedule my CT, so I have to see my primary who gets booked months out. I got a little sassy with them and they're able to see me tomorrow at noon. But then I have to get in for the actual CT. I just want my face to not hurt.
I was wearing my sunglasses at work this morning and my boss took pity on me and shut the lights off in the main office.

Except list of chiro near me is also not available on ins Co website. If I get a denial letter that says submit to chiro vendor you'd think it would easier to find chiro vendor info. Chiro office is attached to pain clinic and their billing office was also confused. I gave them the different number I got in phone call with ins Co. It's only been since Sept but I don't want any chance I owe $750.

Anyone here have crohns? I had a recent MRI that showed evidence of it, and I think fits generally pretty well with my background and symptoms (endometriosis, PsA, ETA and SIBO), but I guess it wasn't conclusive enough for the GI, so I'm going to do a pill scope soon. At this point I am just hoping that it is, so I can have a diagnosis and move forward. I've been struggling a lot with abdominal pain since this summer, post strep, which gave me my worst psoriasis in over a decade (arthritis hit points come and go at least, phew! I had been on enbrel/humira until my first pregnancy), but really the saga started in my early 20s. The drink for the MRI was excruciating (am I intolerant? it just aggravated all of my symptoms?) and I'm struggling big time still a week later.

My daughter does-you need a colonoscopy to officially diagnose it bc to officially be crohns they have to be granulomas that they send to the lab to confirm-she did the pill camera as well instead of an endoscopy but they dropped it when she was out for the colonoscopy bc its pretty big. Feel free to PM me with any questions-she's doing amazing on Remicade!

I had a colonoscopy a year ago and it was clear, aside from polyps (though had one years ago where low level of inflammation in the colon was detected but nothing at a level for diagnosis). The MRI last week showed inflammation in the small bowel where a colonoscopy can't really reach, hence the pill camera over another colonoscopy. I've been wondering how big it is...

Got back from my PCP. She is opting not to do a scan right now because it's a pretty textbook cluster headache. She gave me oxygen while I was in the office and it helped quite a bit. I also got a steroid pack for the current migraine and will be starting Topamax tonight. Yayyy another drug for my daily cocktail.

She had to wear a monitor pack after and then we had to drop that back at the office later that day-it’s amazing what technology can do now!

Did she talk about a referral to a neurologist specializing in headache disorders? Cluster is a rough dx, I really hope the steroids help.

Also, Zomig nasal spray has been shown to be effective in treating cluster!

I agree as well-you really need a headache specialist not just a neuro-steroids did nothing for me, neither did topomax (but I don’t have cluster headaches so hope it works for you)
