I cancelled my WW today. I'm leaning towards going back to it ASAP. I didn't realize they have a 1 on 1 coaching option. I'm going to look more into seeing if I can toggle back and forth between coaching and regular online over the next 6 months as I need boosts of motivation. I might look into coaching or meetings as it's getting more difficult now. I feel like I'm in a decent pattern with eating but I need to exercise more. I gained 2 pounds over these last 3 months of my WW subscription, so I don't know why I want to go back to it. But I need a plan and I'm more confused by Noom and the way it's going to fit with my life (eating at restaurants and making recipes). Those two things seem hard to do on mobile app for me, I'd prefer to be able to hop on to desktop to quickly type in foods and recipes.

Those two things seem hard to do on mobile app for me, I'd prefer to be able to hop on to desktop to quickly type in foods and recipes. This WW experience has reminded me that for me, I need to track my intake. I need to somehow write down everything I put in my face each day and get a score for that. WW is a pretty easy way for me to do that. I track even when I go way over. I just make myself do it. Same with my Fitbit. I wear it every day even when the count is low. I did the Omada program last year and it was all about education and weighing in daily and making good choices. It just didn't really stick when I wasn't doing whole 30. I need something more specific. So I've resigned to be a daily tracker for the long haul. Hopefully I can join meetings and make my goal so I can become lifetime WW and stop paying at some point.

I have failed multiple times on WW because I hate the nebulous concept of points. I have found a barcode scanner and the recipe adder on Noom when I was trying to add my lunch. That's good. I was going to be surprised if they really didn't have those. They are key.

Has anyone figured out a way to log a meal where you know the nutritional info from the restaurant? That's one thing I really like about the WW app - being able to enter in nutritional details rather than having to search for each of the ingredients. Also, WW has a decent recipe builder function and I don't see what easily done on the Noom app. I just did this with something that I tried to add that wasn't in their system. I started searching and it brought up "Can't find your food? Add it" clicky link. So I did and then it asked for additional info like carbs, protein, etc. I figured that out after poking around a bit. But it didn't ask me protein. And I got annoyed because that's an important macro.

Every time I'm entering a recipe into WW I start freaking out at the points and then I put in the protein and I let out a sigh of relief when the points go down.

I tried but their app already annoys me.
I will settle for some FOMO and stalking how things go for others.

This is where I am with WW. My subscription is paid through the end of the month so today I added my breakfast to MFP (as I'm going to use that to track once I'm done w/ WW) and WW. My breakfast was 13 points, almost half of my daily value. It was only 342 calories - my MFP goal is 1900.

Suddenly I don't feel as bad about not downloading the app. I will stick to my free 21 day fix container counter and MFP... angelashly, I was just given a bunch of the shakeology by a friend who's a coach who moved and didn't want to trek it across multiple state lines. That's the only reason I'm using it. I also modify it a little too - there's no way in hell I won't put creamer in coffee. I will give up bread, tortillas, chips, brownies, whatever, but GDI don't take my coffee. I also don't care as much about if I go over in blue containers when it's cheese... I have also swapped yellow carbs for an extra glass of wine and didn't care much either. If I stuck to it hardcore I know it would go faster, but it would also make me insane and make me take a flying leap off the train and run in the other direction at some point.

The weird ass points were the thing that killed WW for me. Like, a larabar. 200 calories. Three "real food" ingredients. 9 WW Smartpoints.
Sugar free jello with fat free cool whip abomination squares. 2 points.
Ew.

I'm assuming after our one on one tomorrow it will provide for insight into how this works. 1200 calories is pretty low so I'm thinking based on goals that will change.

I want to make a change. What I was doing isn't working for me. And 1200 calories is tight, but I think if I see results I'll be more likely to stick with it.

Somehow the calorie goal changed for me. I kept increasing my goal weight and slowing down the weightloss pace.
Now it's set to be a goal that is realistic based on the goal I had on MFP way back when. Because 1200 is nonsense.

I'm feeling this way too. Nothing's working and believe me I tried everything to lose weight. I was so hopeful I wouldn't have to resort to 1200 calories because it is so hard but when I lose 30+ pounds a few years ago that's what I did for over a year. It works and watching the scale number go down motivates me to stick with it.

I'm not finished with my day- H isn't home yet so I haven't eaten dinner, but I should be able to make the 1200 calories. Something that is very helpful to me is eating a good amount of vegetables. That seems obvious, but it's the only way I can make the calorie allotment and not starve.
Although, speaking of starving, I've been overeating for a while, and I think that there may be some discomfort/hunger feelings as my body gets used to less food.

Some of this will be redundant for those in my group but I want to participate with everyone in this thread. I'm willing to wait until the two weeks is over to see how this shakes out and who sticks around, but I was poking around over there and we can request to change groups. I'm willing to make an effort to see if they'd make a group just for us- over there, I mean.

I'm still pissed that after two years of anonymity here, I spilled my name in the first 30 seconds over there, and there's no way to go back and edit it (that I can find.)

Go back to the post, click on it and the click the tree dots in the upper right. Then click delete. Ok, sorry, I am technology challenged. When I click on it, it takes me to the screen that shows the replies to my post. I tried to click on it there, but I never see any three dots, just that little pop up menu from my phone that says share, select all, etc.

Well we are having bogo chipotle for dinner. I'm 281 calories over. I'm calling this a win considering I was planning on starting a new diet today and not meal planning for the week.

I didn't hit my goal for steps, but the calorie goal is ok.
I like the idea of switching groups. I think Scout and I are the only idd men out?

Ok, I can get in touch with them later today and ask them to make a separate group for us. Who all is there? I've identified Brux, HE, Dogbutt, Scout said she was using her SN. I don't know who pobre or Sundae are. And I thought we had a couple of other people who were at least in for the two week trial. Anyway, if you're reading this, and you want to be in our group, LMK and I'll put you on my list.

For meal planning purposes...from the feedback I got yesterday, i figured out that I can eat about 4oz of lean protein at all 3 meals and after that, it's mostly fruits and vegetables. That would allow me to stay roughly in my calorie goal and inside of the green, yellow, red goals they have set up.
Everyone else's numbers may different, though.

Are there any other apps/programs where you ha e a coach or someone to hold you accountable (other than WW)? I don't have a ton of weight to lose, but I don't want to rebound (I yo-yo 10 to 15 pounds). But I do want to eat smart and continue to lose body fat. Noom sounds like it could be the answer of the app and everything works as it should. I check Avatar. I like the concept, but I don't think there is any accountability. So it would be similar to MFP. Just wondering what else is out there.

Hi guys, I ended up eating 1800 calories yesterday oops. I'll try better today. I think I need to put myself to bed by 9 or else I risk snacking.

I'm a stress eater and binge eat and the coach told me they cover this during the 16 week program. ETA that there may be something on how to break the yo yo dieting cycle.

HilarityEnsued, that makes more sense, for scout and sundae to move to us. I always enjoy having new people to interact with, and IME in these group challenge type situations, everyone brings something different to the group. According to the research, social support is extremely beneficial in helping people stick to their wellness goals. Also, semi-relevant, people have asked why they should pay for this, when they can get similar service for free elsewhere. I was thinking about that, and research also shows that you're more likely to stick to a program if you've made a monetary investment into it. It's purely psychological but I'm desperate.

Also, on the subject of money, when I signed up online, it said it was $129 for the 4 month program, which is the one I want to do. I got an email offering the 4 months for $99, which is clearly better, so I'm going to follow up on that, too.
