Sorry I missed last week! For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Non-BFing question of the week: What snack food can you just not get enough of?

1. How old is your LO? He just turned 2! 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3 3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? prob 7-10 minutes 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? We started out mostly bedsharing from the get-go, but with a cosleeper attached to the bed. Then we put the crib in our room and DS2 slept some of the time in our bed and some of the time in the crib. Then when he got the toddler squirmies, he was in the crib the whole night in our room, and finally we moved both DS1 and DS2 into their own room. So he's still in the crib now but in his own room. He doesn't climb out, so we're in no rush to convert it to a toddler bed.
Non-BFing question of the week: What snack food can you just not get enough of? Popcorn!

1. How old is your LO? 16 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3 3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? Maybe 5 min 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? LO is in a crib on her own, which is how she prefers it. We have had to have her in our room while we have been traveling a few nights and she sleeps so poorly! When she was born until around 6 months she was in an arms reach, side car-ed to the bed.
Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? I go here now!!! Yay! Not issues yet.

1. How old is your LO? 3.5
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? We were down to once...but now we're back up to twice.
3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? Anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour...sometimes even longer.
4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? DD was in a crib in a room with me until she was 6 months. Then both the crib and sleep became the devil to her so I started bed sharing with her (I sleep on a floor bed in her room). We're still bed sharing on a floor bed in her room but we both sleep better doing that than if we were apart so I will keep it like this until she asks for a change.
Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? I go here now too! Yay! Too early for any issues though...so far so good.
Non-BFing question of the week: What snack food can you just not get enough of?Ooh...sun flower seeds.

1. How old is your LO? 3, 1.5 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-3 3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? <10min 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? The LO is in a crib and the bigger one is in a toddler bed in the same room. They both started out in a bassinet beside me before going to the crib for nights.
Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? We're good. The big one has been kinda funny about his latch. I think he is mostly in it for the snuggles lately. Also, I've learned that I leak after 36h without nursing. Boo!

1. 20 months next Wed! My, how time flies. 2. 3 3. 5-10 min 4. She's in her crib. She slept for 3mo in a RnP next to me and then we moved her to her crib. Pg: latch pain on the left and I'm pretty much done. I'm tired of being poked and hit and pinched and my face being smacked. And I don't like that I feel this way. So I think I'm going to start to wean. GTKY : I'm not sure. Most food makes me feel nauseous right now

1. 19 months 2. 6ish 3. 5 minutes-45 minutes 4. We bedshared from birth until about 6 months. Then she spent the first stretch in a crib in our room and then bed shared the rest of the night. At 14 months we moved her to a crib in her sister's room and she spends the first part of the night there and then the rest in our bed. We had night weaned a few weeks ago and she was spending almost all night in her crib, but then there was some teething issues and then she busted open her mouth and needed stitches so we are right back where we started, UGH.
Non-BFing question of the week: Veggie chips

1. How old is your LO? - 2.33 years
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? - 3-4x
3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? - 10-15 minutes. Sometimes longer if he's lingering and I'm reading a book.
4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? - crib in his own room; he's been there since ~4 months old. I'd planned on bedsharing but he absolutely refused from day one, so he started out in a bassinet in my room. When he grew out, he didn't like the pack n play & he had been sttn for a couple months already so he went to his room. It's about 4 steps from mine anyway.
Non-BFing question of the week: What snack food can you just not get enough of? - peanut butter m&ms

1. 21 months
2. 2-4
3. The morning one is our only long one. Usually 15 minutes and I think it's half cuddle time as we both start the day. Any other time 1-2 minutes.
4. She started out in a RnP in our room then moved to the sidcarred crib in our room, then around 9-10 months in the crib fully in her own room. I plan to have her stay in the crib until she's around 3.
Pregnant & BFing Mom: I'm 32 weeks and doing good. I don't experience nearly the same level of nursing aversion when I am well rested, so I have been making getting to bed early a priority. Especially since im at the point of sleeping like crap. She's definitely getting colostrum now. I can easily hand express more when she's done nursing. Our only challenge I guess is her newfound need to say no to EVERYTHING. Yesterday she said no to nursing all day, then today she said no but changed her mind. I'm assuming this is a phase but I know it's possible she just might be weaning. I've always hoped we'd make it to 2, so I'll have the sadz if she weans now but I'll follow her lead.
Non-BFing question: Currently ice cream. I could eat it every evening.

1. How old is your LO? 18 months! 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-3. It's been a little bit more when we're together, but I think it's because he's got 4 molars coming in. 3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? 15 min or longer. In the morning he comes into bed so it might be 40 min. 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? He's in a crib in his room. He started in a bassinet and then his crib was in our room until he was about 9 months. We only have a mini crib (about the size of a pnp) and it's getting a little tight so I've been thinking about moving him to either a twin bed or a full mattress on the floor. sammysam, do you sleep with your LO all night? My fear about putting my guy in a floor bed is that he'd get up and get into things in his room. And I don't really want to sleep with him. As far as I can tell, though, he doesn't really wake up in the night, and we usually get him as soon as he wakes up in the morning, so maybe my fear is unfounded. Non-BFing question of the week: What snack food can you just not get enough of? Add me to the popcorn club. Lately, it's been white cheddar. *TW* Unfortunately we lost this pregnancy last week so I don't go with the preggos anymore. Hopefully I'll be pregnant again soon.

tinydancer I do sleep with her all night (she goes to bed before me but I climb in with her when I'm ready to go to skeep) but I don't actually need to. Once she's asleep that's it and even if she wakes up she puts herself back to sleep. I get up in the mornings and get ready and she is fine. If she wakes up and I'm not there she either calls for me, goes back to sleep, waits for me to come get her, or comes and tells me she is awake and what she is going to do. Every child is different but the floor bed has been wonderful for us. I can put her to bed and then go do my own stuff without worrying about her at all.

1. How old is your LO? 20 Months tomorrow 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-4. On weekdays she nurses when I get home from work and at bedtime, on the weekend she nurse in the morning and at naptime, too. 3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? 5-10 minutes during the day, more like 15 at night. She's always been a short nurser, even when she was a newborn. 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? She's been in her crib since night one, and we haven't deviated from it a lot. When she was smaller, she would spend part of the time in the Rock N Play when I got tired of going to her every hour after about 4am. Sometimes during sleep regression I would wish she would cosleep, but she never liked it.
Non-BFing question of the week: What snack food can you just not get enough of? I can eat a whole can of pizza pringles in one sitting, but I have them very rarely. Honestly, cereal is probably the most prevalent snack food in our house, if I want a snack, it's usually a bowl of cereal with milk. Or string cheese.

Almost 19 months - 5-15 minutes. Usually on shorter end - she starts out in crib in her room. When she wakes up one hour later (boo) dh puts her back down or she gets in bed with us. She always ends up in bed with us after first or second wake up. As newborn, we started out with bassinet on pack n okay and she moved to crib/ co-sleeping arrangement when we stopped using bassinet when she started to roll. - cookies

I haven't checked in recently, and will probably forget the next check-in, so I'll post here.
1. How old is your LO? He will be 20 months next week 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-3 3. How long do your BFing sessions tend to be? 5-10 min during the day, 15-20 before bed - though he's been sick this week so sessions have been longer 4. C slept in a RNP next to our bed until 6 months, and then moved to his crib in the nursery. Naps were only on us until a couple months ago, now those are in the crib too 99% of the time, thankfully.
Non-BFing question of the week: What snack food can you just not get enough of? Pirate's Booty, or cheese & crackers
