sophiegrace not our main heat, it's just an additional thing. I think it's embedded but I'll check in my crawl space to see. It is in the kitchen....

Sono access to the pipes from below. I did turn off the system so I'm assuming that should buy us some time?

Sono access to the pipes from below. I did turn off the system so I'm assuming that should buy us some time? In theory I think so. I wish I could come up and look myself. My bathroom is heated and I've used it once and never again because of a bad experience with it in our last house. I hate pipe issues because I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what's really going on and it's either a cheap and easy fix or a disaster. I wonder if you could get someone out there for a free quote just so you can pinpoint the problem and find out how emergent it is. I looked up my own insurance policy this morning and the damage caused by a leak is covered, but they won't cover fixing the source of the leak. So if it were me and the heated floors weren't necessary, but the floor still needed to be replaced I would shut the system down, siphon out the water, and forget about it. Once something like that causes an issue I wash my hands of it because I'd rather wear extra socks and slippers than have to worry about it happening again. I'm weird and anxious though so I wouldn't be surprised if no one else thinks that's a normal reaction.

Yes. Those exact times lol. It's killing me. But, with each tooth this happens for about a week and then it pops itself through and we have a better night. I'm seeing a little point of #4 this morning so I'm praying that it hurries itself up and then we get a bit of a break.

Ohmygosh good news (thank goodness, we needed some!!!) I called my uncle (who is a plumber) to ask him what kind of trouble I'd he dealing with regarding the leak. He told me my heated floors are not heated with water. I was there "yes they are, they told us when we bought the house" (lol tip, don't argue with a guy who has been in the field for 30 years). Anyway he came to look at it and he was right, the system uses electric coils, not hot water! He also showed me what part of the basement is under the kitchen, I just have ZERO sense of direction it seems. I feel like a total moron lol (but at least I can laugh at myself. So the leak was actually coming from the dishwasher. And I guess there was a small gap in the grout under the floor which allowed the water to seep along under the tile and come up a few feet out. Luckily it didn't appear to be enough water to cause major damage (very slow leak) and he was able to clean it up and tighten the valve that was loose. The water coming up through the tile was actually a blessing, because if that didn't happen and the leak continued undetected, we would have wound up with the ceiling in our basement collapsing in a few weeks time. He showed me the spot in the basement to keep an eye on, just in case there was more water than he expected, but it looks like we just avoided a major expense.

As long as I don't move my head too quickly I'm ok this morning. What a night! Let me paint you a picture.
Ok. So, like I said before it was 3 ceremonies and one big reception. They called "Three Weddings and No Funeral". The program was made up like a play bill (is that the right term?) And calling each ceremony an act with a 15 minute intermission between each one. The venue was a yacht club. The same officiant did all 3 acts. He wore a button up shirt with a tie, gray khaki shorts and sandals. None of the ceremonies had any type of religous ascept to them.
My friend was Act I. It was short and sweet because they're actually already married, plus my friend is the lowest of low maintenance people ever. They each had 2 people standing up with them, they didn't have any obvious colors, the ladies worse a blue/gray dress and a mint colored dress. The men were in navy blue. My friend's dress was so stunning. It was a lacey with a high neck and cap like sleeves. She wore a bird cage veil. Total 20's vibe. She wore the shoes that she used when she was a bridesmaid in my wedding, they were her "something old" ❤ They picked the Devil Went Down to Georgia as their recession song. Her H is from there and they moved to GA about 4 years ago.
Act II was my friend's younger brother. They had 3 people each in their wedding party and had a little bit of a longer ceremony. They wrote their own vows were they both pledged to supply the other with coffee. It was really cute and the bride just looked to excited to be getting married. The officiant also read Oh, The Places You'll Go. They used some rock songs for their procession and recession. Their colors were purple gray and white and they all wore white high top Chucks with purple laces. And the bride had a more typical strapless dress. I don't know them very well, but it seemed to fit their personalities.
Her mom was Act III. She had a red carpet rolled out and everyone, including the officiant, danced their way down the aisle. One of the songs was Prince's Let's Go Crazy. Her H wore a red brimmed hat and danced with random women has he made his way down the aisle, ending with his mom who is like 90 years old. So sweet. The bride came out to Let's Get Married, i think that's what it's called. Her dress looked like something you would see on My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, except white. It totally fit her personality. It was big and poofy and full of life. The ladies wore navy blue dresses ans the men wore light gray suits. They did a toast during their ceremony and they both pulled out flasks, which was hilarious. This woman is one of the sweetest most kind hearted people I have ever met and I'm so happy she met a wonderful man to share her life with.
Each ceremony had it's own unique feel and vibe. When I talked with my friend she said that her brother and his wife weren't 100% on board with everything and kind of pushed back on some of their mom's ideas. But I think they're happy with how it turned out.
Ok, next post will be all about the drama, because oh my, was there drama.

Drama time.
First, let me just point out that this was a 2nd marriage for my friend's mom, meaning she's divorced from my friend's dad. Since 2/3 of their kids were getting married that night, he was there. So he had to watch his ex wife marry another man. Awkward, right?!
Ok, so the ring bearer for the ceremonies was Act II's kid. He's probably 2.5. Right before the bride from Act III was about to come out the ring bearer ran out onto the red carpet and the bride ran after him, tripping and falling face first into the floor. She was thankfully ok, but clearly pissed.
As everyone was dancing back down the aisle at the end of Act III, my friend's daughter (also 2.5) got sick and threw up at the table. As someone was carrying past the tables to get her to the bathroom, she threw uo again. This time all over bride II and her dress. She was pissed but kept her composure better than I would have.
At one point I went to go talk to my friend and I sat down at her table. She told me that her MOH was MIA and they were about to do speeches. Apparently my friend's dad got pretty drunk and touched the MOH's ass. My friend and her MOH have been best friends since elementary school, so this was even more gross and awkward than just some random old drunk guy touching your ass.
My friend left me at the table with her 2.5 year old daughter (the who got sick earlier) to go talk to the MOH. That's when beyond shitfaced husband came and sat down next to me. As I'm holding their kid and the bridesmaid is giving a speech because the MOH refused to do hers, he keeps slurring lines to me like "oh my god, you look soooo good." "Wow! I didn't even recognize you, you look so amazing!" And when I was finally able to hand his kid off and get away, he pointed at me and gave me a 👌.
But hey, I drank a bunch of rose, so it wasn't all bad.
Oh, and I somehow became a babysitter to a bunch of kids outside. MH and I were standing there looking at the water and some woman comes up and goes, "I don't know who these kinds belong to, can I leave them with you?" And walks away. There were 4 little girls ranging from like 2-6 and they kept climbing all the rocks trying to find seashells. All I could see was them falling into the water and me not nearly sober enough to save them. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to track down their parents only for them to all find me again and rope me into a game of hide and seek. I'm such a sucker.
