Yaaaaas. I'm so excited that Harry gets to be in a real movie, like a big movie. I'll probably drag my H with me on Friday. Or I'll go by myself if we have no sitter.

I'm super psyched about this movie. Not because of Harry Styles, but because I like history. Is it just me and Mr. Patty who feel this way? Nope. I'm with you. Good! I'm excited that it's showing the war from a losing perspective. I'm sure they'll frame it as victory escaping from Hitler, but I'm glad it's focusing on an earlier less talked about time of the war.

I think we tend to forget that there was a war before Pearl Harbor.

jrun2013, @nellybluth, if you haven't read them, I highly recommend the Fall of Giants trilogy by Ken Follett. They are fiction, but the historical parts are accurate and you'll get different perspectives of WWI through the election of Obama.

I have a long commute and listen to audiobooks and usually listen to this trilogy once every year or two. Edit to say I think Fall of Giants is the first book about WWI (referring to the fall of the empires), and the trilogy is the Century Trilogy.

I didn't know shit and I gave up in confusion. Fall of Giants is both entertaining and really informative. It can help you get a good base for WWI, the the Edge of Eternity is the one for WWII and does a pretty good job of setting up the history. Fall of Giants is my favorite though.

Dat profile on Cillian Murphy Dang; this guy does not age. I remember him looking exactly like this in Red Eye and that was 2005.

I love Cillian Murphy. Looooove. That picture of him made me come into this thread. I love Peaky Blinders! And his earlier indie movies. There is one where he is a cross dresser and I think it's really good.
