So I thought (pretty sure) I felt baby moving around a ton during my 12 week scan, but I havent felt anything since then. Maybe a little twinge here and there that could have been gas. It's freaking me out. 15 weeks tomorrow so I guess it's still early, but 4 weeks in between appointments is soooo long. Come on baby! Move!

DH is coming home for the weekend. Weeee! If I wasn't with child I would def be taking advantage of it by drinking lots and lots of beer. But since I can't I'm going to be sleeping in tomorrow!

DS had his first official swimming lesson today. How is he this big?! He did great and loved it. He is a little fish when we've taken him to pools/the ocean so I knew he would enjoy it, but I am really hopeful he will learn something too!

They are starting at 10:15 with a breathing treatment beforehand. If he needs one after, he will have to be admitted overnight to monitor.

My daughter says that she needs a floaty to swim because we have big arms that help us float.

It's our 5 year wedding anniversary today! We got a bunch of wine from a family friend for a wedding gift and one of the bottles ages really well so she instructed us to save it for our 5 year anni. I wish I could partake in half the bottle, but I'll settle for a couple ounces. BUT we are going to a fancy steak house so I'm even more excited about eating my face off! Oh yeah, and spending time with DH lol.

My OB referred me to a program at my hospital's heart institute for women who had preeclampsia. I chatted with them this morning. I knew pre-e increased your risk of heart disease but I didn't really understand how much - turns out it's 2-3 times higher for women who had pre-e. For women who had pre-e and developed heart disease, the average age for a heart attack or stroke is 38 freaking years old. That is a bit scary.
Needless to say, I signed up with the program. Next April, I'll start meeting with a doctor to make lifestyle changes to decrease my risk. I think it's awesome that my hospital is doing this and I'm feeling really positive about it.

misskilljoy, I'm glad you're feeling good about the program. That info is really interesting to me. My mom had pre-e (toxemia at the time) with me, and she had a stroke at 42. I've never heard of that possible connection before.

Here. Exhausted. Americana came this week so I've been busy photographing and pulling orders. I just want to sleep.
Also, if this place goes to shit too I'm out. My brain can't handle any more board hopping.

Baby is sitting low today. Move up kid! You are making me more uncomfortable than usual. My belly is so, so uncomfortable. I already can't lie down and get comfy. 😵😬 I hope some sleep helps me feel better because this is terrible.

I think what pissed me off was with my first I had PPD and he dismissed it. Then I had a loss and during my follow up appointment he talked about my husband and never asked how I was. I followed up after my last kid and had a lot of pain. He never asked about my recovery. The appointment was maybe a minute. I don't blame you. I would probably try to switch.

We had a crazy thunderstorm last night.
Got woke up at 1am by thunder, literally shook our house. DH hates thunder, and was literally tucked up so tight to me.
But it was the lightening that was going crazy, flashes and flashes every second, it wasn't even raining at that point, or any thunder, just the flashing lighting up the sky, completely silent. Went on for about 2 hours.
DS slept through all of it thankfully, even the massive cracks of thunder.
My FB feed was going mental as it had woken probably everyone up, my next door neighbour was snapchatting it as well. I woke up my BFF's to watch it as it was amazing just laying in bed watching it as our bed it right next to the windows. I checked that our cats were in, 1 was soaking wet from the rain so I dried her down while the other one just kept head butting me for food lol.
It was ridiculously hot when we settled back to try and sleep at 2am, made DH get the fan and I drifted right off.
We don't get many storms at all in the UK (well where I live anyway) so it was beautiful to see

Just had morning sex. I figured it was time lol. We haven't done it since we found out I was pregnant. Surprisingly, I did not hate it. Perhaps I've been converted.

Also I put this comparison pic together. I look like 20+ weeks compared to pregnancy #1. PDQ pic.

Fuck it. I signed up for the hospital online portal for J. He went to the ER again for a fever last night so it sent me an email about the new report. I noticed the PET scan report was also there. I am not a doctor, but it says there was progression. It also noted more lesions and the lesions he had were bigger. I was anticipating it wasn't getting better because of all the fevers, but it still hurts to read.

Cute bump, grumpycat! I've got a headache this morning, so my gym and yard work plans are on hold. I'm wrapped in a blanket on the couch watching Harry Potter. Are we sure it's Memorial Day weekend? ha My H just went to the bank, and I'm hoping he comes back with food from dunkin. I'm starving and have no desire to cook.

I've been to my pcp a few times because my blood pressure tends to hang out on the higher side even before being pregnant but she just keeps brushing me off. And now with being pregnant it's been creeping up higher and higher. I think it's time for a new doctor. Thanks for posting the information. It's so easy to ignore when you're "young and healthy", but definitely need to start working on a healthier lifestyle.

It's so easy to ignore when you're "young and healthy", but definitely need to start working on a healthier lifestyle. You're the fourth woman I've mentioned this to who has said she had pre-e and was never told about the long-term risks of heart disease. That is awful. I'll share anything useful I learn from the program and when we're all not pregnant any more, let's help each other take good care of ourselves. Are you on baby aspirin this time? Are you being monitored closely due to previous pre-e and pre-pregnancy hypertension? In second tri, your BP should be going down (even with hypertension), not up...
