Btw, yesterday confirmed that DS is getting a little sister! She was also being a pain for the nurse to the point where she gave up on the doppler and said "I'm not fighting with her" lol

NIPT results came back and they want to discuss them with me in person. My doctor said they would call me with results so I am really worried.

Baby girl is fine!!!
I have a carrier gene for Alpha-Thalassemia. The only thing to worry about is if my husband also has a carrier gene. He is getting tested soon and even if he has it, baby girl only has a 25% chance of getting Alpha-Thalassemia. Feeling very thankful my baby girl is healthy! Now just to grow her until October when we get to meet her and hold her!

Glad it's nothing too worrisome beenthere! I do find it a little odd that your doc couldn't give you the general details over the phone first then follow up in an appointment so you wouldn't worry too much, but glad the waiting is over for you! (My anatomy scan for DD2 showed some soft markers for down syndrome that my doctor just discussed with me over the phone.) But I know they all have different policies!

Hi all! Feels like its been forever since I checked in. Had my anatomy scan yesterday and they said everything looked perfect in baby except for measuring small. I was 18w6d and baby was measuring 16w3d. I go back in 3 weeks for another US to check measurements. We'll find out Saturday what baby is ๐ we're having a small reveal with our immediate family's.
Has anyone had a baby measure so small and everything be fine/baby catch up?

ponygirl My DD measured 1.5-2 weeks behind at her anatomy scan. Sheโs a perfectly healthy, but petite toddler now at 15 months. How did your baby measure in comparison to dates at your previous ultrasound(s)? That makes me feel better. Very first US baby was measuring 7w3d and I was 8 weeks exactly.

My girl is measuring nearly a week behind. My son measured about a week and a half behind by the end. He was just over 6 lbs when he was born, so just small. He's catching up now, but we also have large-ness on both sides of the family. DH and his uncle (and his grandfather back in the day) have trouble finding shirts to fit their shoulders because they're so broad

I'm 22 weeks today and have an appointment Friday.
One of my SI joints popped this morning and the right side of my ass hurts so bad now. Ugh. Second time I've popped this one. I'm so over it. I'm going to need so PT for my pelvic joints after this over.

I didn't notice it but when Daddy came to bed and pulled back the covers it was all over the sheets and blankets. Luckily it's only the 2nd time he's ever done that!

cnf I feel you on the butt pain. My right SI joint has been messed up for weeks now. Stretching and trying to get out for daily walks with the kids is helping, but everything is still pretty ouch on most days. I too will most likely be pursuing PT after this baby is here. Assuming we bring a baby home at the end of this, I will be DONE with pregnancy forever and I want my body to really get a chance to recover and get into better functional condition after all Iโve put it through growing and nurturing these babies. DD1 broke mine when I was pregnant with her back in 2015. They've been getting progressively worse over time. I just need someone to teach me how, and make me actually do, some pelvic strengthening. I don't do myself any favors, I'm still working out seven days a week, mostly running. But it doesn't bother me during or after though. Both times I've popped it now have been while either getting up from sitting, or now apparently while attempting to sit. It seems sitting is the problem, lol.

Congrats on the boy ponygirl! 22 weeks here. Still having some nauseous days, but more and more good days. Trying to do my best to stay active, I feel like I've been gaining weight earlier this time (especially in my butt and thighs). I do have an anterior placenta. I was feeling a ton of movement, but baby shifted and the jabs aren't as intense now.

We were paying for my 3 year old's spot at daycare since they were still open and we just weren't sending her. Just found out their business office decided not to charge people who weren't sending their kids, so we have an $1800 credit when she goes back.
Makes me less annoyed with my husband for impulse buying my 6 year old a keyboard at Target today when he was grocery shopping!

My Dad lives alone in South Carolina. Early March he had what we thought was the flu, nothing super severe it just lingered for a long time. By the time the quarantines started he was already starting to get better.
Turns out at the beginning of March he sat across from a guy at dinner that he found out last week died from Covid-19. His clinic got him an antibody test, and he was the first person they'd had test positive who hadn't previously had a positive Covid-19 test (his symptoms were never severe enough to seek treatment).
I'd joked he had it but didn't really think he did. I'm kinda of glad now that he's had it and hopefully can't get it again, and that none of us had to worry from far away because no one knew he had it!
