cythe how is E doing with PT? is she pulling to stand at least? Also tots can be weird about making up words. For the longest time, we didn't know what DS meant when he said graggle. It took us almost a year to figure it out. Turns out the frog button on one of his toy ( teaching turtle ) makes a sound like "graggle" so to him frogs were graggle even though we would say frog say ribbit ribbit and refers to them as frog. He also would call dogs Bow wow for the longest time. She's doing... okay with PT. Her therapist actually used the word regression last session so maybe she's not doing so great. She is... sort of pulling to a stand? She can definitely do it, but not on her own. She will fearlessly take my hands and stand up without any assistance from me (besides her holding onto my hand) but she won't pull up onto say, the sofa. She's very afraid when she stands, you can see her trying scanning the area for things to hold onto and usually starts to panic and cry if someone isn't near. She's very capable, very. She just won't.

Is anyone else's O17er still drooling? DS was the world's drooliest baby, but it went away for the past 8-10 months. Now all of a sudden the drool is back. It's not like when he was a baby when his shirts stayed wet, but basically just a constant stream of drool from his mouth.

My DS2 was also drooly last week, and I was like, he can’t be teething....can he?! I stuck my finger in his mouth, and sure enough - another molar on his bottom right side. I am so excited to think that once the 2 year molars are in, I’ll be done with teething forever!!!!

+1 to being excited for being done with teething FOREVER. That's one thing I'm not sorry I won't get to experience again. DS2 is still behind on speech but not enough to qualify for anything. He hardly ever strings words together except for "Hi mommy" etc. DS1 is 4 and is bossy so we have conversations a lot about how he isn't everyone's boss. The other day the boys and I were eating at the table and I was once again reminding DS1 that he isn't the boss of everyone and DS2 pipes up "No Mommy boss!" I laughed and laughed. Super proud of his first sentence.

He has a constant line of drool hanging down and it grosses me out. I am not good with any bodily fluids.

But, you're probably right that it's molars.

Would you guys like to help me kitchen? I have finally decided that my shit show of a kitchen needs to go. We definitely knew it when we bought the house but cabinets were quoted at $10,000 and we just didnt have it available. But I was talking with my friends the other day and his dad is a hobby woodworker, he mentioned that I should make my new cabinets. This seemed like a lot of work, but then he suggested just reusing my old cabinets (where I could) and make new doors. I had a great time making up floor plans and kitchen designs, ive decided on reusing ~12 cabinets and having to make ~10 new ones. But now, I need help deciding on colors! The fun part! I want to do the aged bronze finishes (im planning on new lighting eventually) like so: So help me to pick some flooring and cabinet colors! We are probably painting the cabinets but we could also get higher quality wood for the doors and do a stain.

I never know when my girls are teething because they drooled or chewed on everything forever. We aren’t currently in a droopy phase right now with DD2 but we both either have colds or allergies so no fun either way.
DD2 has finally accepted the feeling of bare grass on her feet. She played outside barefoot with DD1 for over an hour tonight. It only took 2 years to tolerate grass. She still doesn’t like sand.

cythe, What color are your kitchen walls? I love the cream colors Taitai posted. I also love the gray alone (esp because it would hide kid stains), but I don't love the brass hardware against that color.

The walls are a cream color but 99% of the walls are covered in an awful backsplash that ill be cutting out to do new drywall. The other part of the walls is a soffit that I'll also be removing and doing new drywall. The wall color is a blank canvas!

cythe, depending on your style/taste, I think you could go a lot of different ways. I like both of the cream pictures above. I also think white would be good (though maybe scary with young kids). What color are your counter tops and are you changing those?

Team green turned BLUE this morning!!! Baby Theo was born at 38+2. My third unmedicated birth and second birth centre water birth. He is 7lbs 14.5 oz and 22 inches long. My water broke at 2am but I wasn’t contracting regularly. Things ramped up around 6/6:30, I got in the tub just before 7 and he was out at 7:55. About 4 contractions worth of pushes. No tears and my bleeding is much less ridiculous than with DS. I am feeling really good, just resting at home. DS and DD both love their little brother

My basement is almost finished, flooring is almost down and paint and baseboards are next. I was hoping to host DD2’s birthday next weekend and not have a dining room full of boxes so we shall see. cythe I like Taitai’s suggestions. I 😍 that cream kitchen. I don’t think you can really go wrong with some of those neural choices.

We finally got first molars in though about a month ago - like ALL 4! he's started again and looks like incisors are erupting.

cythe , big hugs, it must be so frustrating. Have you reached out to your pedi again or waiting for her 2 yr well visit? Thinking of you. I am excited about your kitchen remodel and replacing the doors is a great choice especially if the cabinets are hardwood and in good shape. I am all about a white kitchen if I had a choice. I love marble countertops but they do stain as all natural stone do. Silestone is durable and an affordable option. I think white is ok with kids and any smudges actually can be easily spotted and cleaned up immediately. What are your preferences in color? I love the pics Taitai posted. I would almost do a reverse of white cabinets and light grey countertops. I detest open shelving though unless you have time to dust and wipe them on a daily basis.

OMG! So I am looking at home sales etc. near my house and I was on realtor.com and I nearly fainted when this listing showed up for home for sale near the area ( it's a few miles but it's across the river etc. and really not even relevant ) I know there are super rich people but like who the F can afford 90 million. I had to show hubs to confirm the digits I was seeing was correct. What did I do wrong in my life. ETA. We are now waiting for the appraisal report but the buyer appears to be satisfied with the home inspection and requested for and oil tank sweep which came out clean. So fingers crossed if the appraisal value comes back for the asking price then I think the sale will go through.

duskymonkey You’re not doing anything wrong in your life - you’re just not Jeff Bezos 🤣😂 Seriously though, that would be a record-setting residential sale in NYC - I have heard of crazy huge, 18,000 sqf places on the upper east side going for 40-50 million, but this is significantly above that. There is a very short list of people in this world that could even consider buying a place like this. And it’s not just the 98 million cost - think of the upkeep and maintenance commitments. You’d need a full-time staff, plus security (and paying those NYC wages/benefits). You need to furnish this place, the annual cost to insure it (and everything in it). There also has to be so much stuff in there that is expensive and will break/need maintenance - there goes more money. There’s so much baggage with a place like this! I wonder how much it will end up selling for.

We had our benefits fair at worked today, so we ran around like mad men all morning for it. Now, I'm pooped and have no motivation to get to 5:00. I did get my flu shot though. My arm started hurting within 30 minutes, but moms on DD's BMB have experienced similar this year. I also got a biometric screening done and my numbers were great, especially considering I ate breakfast and didn't totally fast for it.
Our huge fair is in town and we are taking the kids tomorrow. I am super pumped, so it's sure to be a disaster. I hope to get a few rides in, do face painting for the kids, see all of the animals, maybe catch some animal shows, and eat all the fried fair food.

Hi. Pumpkin patch tomorrow and 60 degree weather!! But just for a day.
H and I got in a small argument tonight bc I feel like he follows me wherever I go and I can’t have a minute to myself. If you’re watching a movie and I get up to pee, that’s not a sign to follow me to the bedroom. Go away.

Today he got home early from work and wanted to lay next to me and just randomly reach out and...pet me? The fuck?
