cnf hopefully you get the other one you are interviewing for. blabbermouth good for her! My sister was completely PT (dry at night) by 18mo. Apparently, she really wanted her ears pierced, like me. It happens, just not with my boys. Blah. First day of school for DS1 (2nd) & DS2 (K) was today. I overheard DS2 in the bathroom when he woke up, βtoday is the first day of kindergarten! Iβm so ready!β I melted. DS3 starts preK Monday. I need to step up my meal prep game, Iβm excited to be able to weekday post drop-off grocery shopping with just DS4 next week.

We potty trained N at 3.5. He knew how to use the potty but he had no interest in it. Once he potty trained he was done in a day. He also night trained on his own and has never wet the bed. Iβm hoping E is as easy. E knows the potty and pretends on using it like his older brother but I have no interest in pushing it before heβs really ready.

Weβve got a potty in our bathroom, and E will point at it and say βpee,β but thatβs about it so far for potty training. Most of the time, she wonβt even sit on the potty fully clothed, so Iβm not pushing it. I might start to try a bit harder in the fall when sheβs closer to two, but Iβm in no rush.

We have this little landscaped hill in our front yard with bushes and a tree. Ds1 will go up and pee on the tree sometimes if heβs outside playing and has to go really badly (Iβve told him heβs too old to do that now [5] but I suppose itβs better than him peeing his pants). Anyway, C saw him do this so now heβll go up to the tree and pull up his t shirt and stick his little hips out to pretend like heβs peeing. Thatβs literally the only interest heβs shown so far. Weβll probably wait til at least 2.5 to start formally PT.

N has never had much patience for soiled diapers and is showing he knows when he poops, so hopefully it won't be too hard to PT him. I don't think he's quite there yet, though. Kiddo LOVES washing his hands, though. At the rate we're going, if I tell him Elmo uses the potty, he'll take to it right away We're about to upgrade his wardrobe to 2T soon, I think. He's at that awkward point where the 18mo is getting a little snug but the 2T stuff is still a little too big (at least the bottoms). Three more work days until Staycation, and exactly one week to Wallflowers! So excited for a break lol.

Omg you guys. So I just decided to put c on the potty to see what would happen. Nothing, so I got him off and went to go get a new diaper. In that 20-30 seconds he went into the kitchen, peed all over the floor, slipped in it, and I walked in to him βswimmingβ in his puddle of pee. So gross!

I always say to go in to use the bathroom. But he never wants to stop playing. At least itβs in our backyard and hidden from view.

cakewench, weβre in the same position with clothes. Iβve been putting E in more 2T stuff lately, but itβs definitely a bit too big.

pootsen, I know I shouldn't be laughing, but I am. After a bath a few weeks ago, N peed on the side of an end table. He seemed awfully proud of himself. I let H clean that up while I got N dressed for bed.

But also all over him. DD had a good one last night, I said I was going to go get her some milk and she should sit and pee, so she did. She was saying "I did it!" so fast I thought she didn't actually go.

Iβm taking N school shopping today. Itβs a little surreal heβs going into kindergarten this year.
Also, we decided not go in a different direction for daycare this year for E. He was going to go to one place and we did another visit yesterday. The woman knew we were coming and when we got there she wasnβt even home. She went grocery shopping and left the kids in the hands of her two grown children who work there. I was not impressed with what I saw and thought I was going to start crying when I thought about leaving him there.
Luckily, we also had a meeting with another daycare on the same day. We were thinking about moving him after he turned two because the new place thought heβd fit better when he was a little older. The other kids are more like 3 and 4. It was much nicer, more staff members (with only 12 children possible) and a fenced in play area. The woman in charge said sheβs take E starting in September. So my H and talked and even bough the new place is more expensive the peace of mind is major. This is the only time I hate living in a small town is when we need services and there are none.

I just pulled out a bunch of 2T shirts because we had gone up to 24 mo shorts a few weeks ago, but I only had like 7 so it was the same rotation for weeks. Heβs always stayed in smaller sizes longer for bottoms, but I just put away his 18 mo pants that were getting a tad small. We have a mixture of 18 &24 mo shorts he wears mostly

We did a family stroller strides class this morning at the beach. It was fun and I think dh was a little more impressed with what all they do (though I havenβt done a class in forever!) we came home, ate, and napped (even me for a bit). We are going to go to church tonight because they are doing a luau after. Should be fun and yummy food. Then tomorrow morning can just be lounging!

Coming in late. cnf, health to robotics is ridiculous. How can they expect you to switch like that? Theyβre really doing a disservice to the kids as well, no offense to you, but they should have a teacher who specializes in the subject and isnβt learning it alongside them. pootsen, sorry to lol at your swimming in pee story but I did. Kids π€·ββοΈ We are not in a rush to potty train. We waited til 3 with O and it was pretty easy so Iβm hoping to repeat that.

I haven't been back to Carter's lately because the Target stuff fits N better, but maybe if they have 24mo shorts I can get a few to bridge?

cakewench I found 2T to be a little bit longer than 24 months but not that much of a difference. Iβm going to go to 24 months because I already have a wardrobe from N but you could skip it.

I think I was told that the baby sizes are the range with the number being the upper age. Like 24 mo is really 18-24 mo. Once you reach the toddler Ts, itβs for that year. 2T is for year 2, 3T is for year 3. there is very little difference in 24 mo vs 2T because the growth slows some.
