haleyscott Per our pedi, we use Babyganics. We used a tiny bit on his leg to make sure he didn’t have a reaction first, but he didn’t. Our pedi basically said that it’s partially recommended to not use it and solely keep baby in the shade/ with rash guard because parents will forget to reapply and keep baby in the sun too long and voila - huge sunburn. But I also live in the south in the current 9th circle of hell, so being outside occasionally is a necessity and we can’t keep him in sweatpants in this heat/ humidity. At the beach a few weeks ago, we reapplied every 2 hours regardless of exposure and kept him in his tent with a fan going. He has both a long sleeve and short sleeve rash guard and shorts with a hat and sunglasses.

lemondrop between ds1 &ds2 we just used condoms since we also wanted to try around a year. I also just tracked on fertility friend too. Also after weaning I didn’t really go back down in size. They just lost their perkiness. 😩 Seriously, they’re like tennis balls inside of socks 😭 I went from a perky 34B to a heavy 36D. I’m probably a 34C now and they are so, so sad.

Thank you grover & lemondrop. We do have some suits that have rashguards and then two one piece ones. My main plan is to keep her in the shade but I will pick up the babyganics too! lemondrop I am so nervous to see what they look like once I wean. I’m contemplating implants but I also hate surgery. Haha

Re: prime day. For my fellow formula feeders, I got 40% off Similac by signing up for subscribe & save, and got $133 worth of formula for $75! I figure I'll cancel the subscription next month. Not sure if it applies to other brands of formula.

Does anyone else have Carters clothes that shrink like crazy?
I washed a bunch of Max’s 6 month (holy shit) rompers. Then I was gifted some 3 month rompers with the tags still on. When I compare the 2, they’re literally the same size. So either their sizing is weird, or the ones I washed shrank like a mofo. I followed the directions on the tags to wash and dry.
I washed the 3 month ones and put them on our drying rack. I’ll compare them to the 6 month ones when they’re dry.
Is shrinking a thing?

lemondrop are they the same Carters? Carters brand is sold in SO many stores and I find the fit of each to be a little different. I know Target's have a different name....Just for me? Or something? But not all do. I think pieces I've bought directly from a Carters store usually run bigger than the others.

They’re all from the actual Carters store 😭 I haven’t noticed if the Target Carters (Just One You, I think the name is?) ones are smaller, but I’ll check into it. I also have some things from the Carters outlet and Kohl’s now that I think about it that I’m curious about. Ughhh. It’s hard enough finding sizes for myself. I figured baby sizing was going to be easy, lol. Damn it.

I’ve had a few things shrink lemondrop, but not a ton of stuff. Some of Carter’s clothes fit big and some small. Like DD has already well outgrown some pants, but other pants fit a little loose.

We have a bunch of hand me downs and I also think that Carters varies. Some fabric seems a little different and prone to shrinking, some I can wash on warm and it's fine. The sleepers are almost always first to be grown out of for us.

Also, can I AW one of my little guys? We got the old bouncer/jumper thing out and they loved it. They really are growing so fast, he is looking older and it's crazy! PDQ, hope it's not huge: poof

haleyscott I used the ThinkBaby sunscreen on N when I had her in the carrier with her arms and legs sticking out. I’ve been using that sunscreen for a couple years on DD1 since she has very sensitive skin. I also usually use it on myself, although it leaves me paler than when I started.

lemondrop Kid sizing is definitely weird. Thankfully when I put away clothes from DD1, I did it by fit instead of size. It would trip me up though because when I’d pull the next size clothes out, I’d be so mad when something already didn’t fit. Of course now my problem is seasons. DD2 is well into the 6 mo clothes, but all the 9mo clothes are winter clothes.

Cute Eames! I can’t wait to be able to pull out the bigger baby toys and seats. But I also want her to stay tiny forever. Such a conundrum.

jacks I know, especially since these are my last babies. However, I am looking forward to when they are able to sttn. Sleep training update: both are now great with no pacifier and no swaddle, just a sleep sack. We just put them in their cribs and they fall asleep on their own. 🙌 However. Naps still suck. They mostly only take crap naps that aren't even an hour. Maybe a 45 min sleep cycle. Sometimes only 20 min. Also, they still feed at the middle of the night. I can tell when they are hungry because they don't resettle themselves, they only get ramped up. One bottle and they pass back out easily. We feed, change diaper, then put them back in their crib awake. So for now, we are feeding them usually sometime between 12 and 2. We're not waking the other when one wakes anymore. Last night, one was up at 12:30 last night and the other at 2 so I need coffee, lol. But I think we're making progress. No swaddle and pacifier alone is huge right?

On the topic of kids clothes - I took stock of the 6-month clothes since some of DS' 3-month sleepers are getting short (what?!) I had several 6-month sleepers hanging on hangers next to each other and one of them was legit an entire foot shorter than the others. So he's going to start wearing it now. They were all Carter's.
Kids sizing is weird.

Eames We are pretty much the opposite over here. She naps great in her magic sleepsuit, but is up all night if I do that at night. And all the pacifiers.

I’m so excited!! H and a friend are outside working on completing the fence for our backyard. We started this project when I was 6-7 months pregnant with DD. Y’all...this might actually get finished this weekend!

I looked at the calendar yesterday to work on scheduling days for the nanny, and now I’m panicking about only having 2 weeks until I go back to work. Which also means switching to formula, and I just hate washing bottles. I thought I was fine with stopping breastfeeding when I went back to work, but I’m having anxiety about it all over again.
I’m not ready to give up my days staring at my sweet baby 😭 why can’t we have better health insurance options that don’t require me to work for my insurance?

I have less then a month until I go back and I’m like you sure H you can’t carry the insurance ?! His insurance is 3x what mine costs. I’m dreading going back I love spending all day holding this giant baby lol

Can I AW my DD? She is 4 years old today and I can’t believe it. It seems like she went from a toddler to a big girl overnight!
