It’s 8:15 and both of my girls are still sleeping. P has been so hard to get down at night. Google tells me we are in a sleep regression. Only plans for today is the library. We have been slowly packing our house to hopefully get it in the market next weekend. Our new house should be done by August. Just in time for school to start.

DD is only nursing every 4-5 hours during the day and it's a fight to get her to eat. She seems like she's super hungry but is hysterical every time I try to feed her. Is this a nursing strike? I don't know what to do and I'm stressing about my supply completely tanking. I'm planning on weaning soon, but was trying to hold out until our trip but maybe I should just call it quits now 😕

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions brenna. Although it sounds like it could be a nursing strike. Do you have an LC you could get in touch with?

Sorry for the nursing troubles brenna. I've never dealt with a nursing strike so I don't really have any advice. I hope you figure things out - one way or another!

I don't know if I'm trying to feed her too often or what but she will just scream and cry if I feed her what appears to be too soon, but then if I wait she gets to the point where she's starving and then she's so hysterical she won't settle down to eat. Today she only had I think three actual good feeds and they were all when she was really tired.
With dd1 I had to feed her every 2-3 hours because my supply was so bad but maybe babies this age can go 4+ hours? The past few days have been so frustrating.

brenna lately our best sessions are also right before naps when DD is tired and ready to wind down. I still offer a lot throughout the day. Sometimes she's not having it at all and immediately tries to sit up and climb away, sometimes she'll suckle for a minute before leaving, sometimes she'll suck enough for a letdown then only eat for 30 seconds before leaving me with a drippy nipple (thanks kid, haha!), and some other times she'll actually eat for a few minutes. Other than the sessions before sleep, I'd say she kinda grazes during the day. A quick pit stop or check-in and she's done.

It makes me feel so much better 😊 another thing is she pretty much hates my left boob and I cannot get a let down at all from her nursing on that side. Does anybody else have that? Gosh I feel like a FTM with all this.

DD has been working hard the past few days at trying to pull up on things around the house. She was successful a couple times today and she looked so proud of herself! She's gonna get the hang of it really quick now.

DS was always falling face first when he started walking. That part of this phase sucks.

DS is filled with bruises on his face, head and body. Plus he keeps bruising his shins crawling over the partitioner separating our dining room from living room.

Yesterday was DD's party. (Bday is on the 1st) It was so much fun but so much work. I always go overboard with DIY stuff. But she was soooo happy. It was a Coraline themed party and we had a blast. I'm exhausted and house is a mess of sugar everywhere.
Today is my bday and we are going to the aquarium because it's free on birthdays. I got a discounted ticket for DD through my gas company and DS is free! If weather is nice after, we will do free swim time at our favorite pool. And eating leftover cake from DD's party. Lol!

Oh and lots of packing to do!!! We will probably start sleeping at my parents house at the end of the week. Plus my dad is having surgery tomorrow. Jeez there is a lot happening. Lol!

DS2's legs have bruises all over them from crawling on top of hard plastic toys. I'm not worried about comments from the ped because newly mobile is going to equal bruises, but he has his 9 month appointment Thursday and his legs are covered right now. Oops.

Oh no. I have a crib eater 😑 DD started dragging her bottom teeth on the crib rail and scraping it all up. I put on the crib rail cover I have from DS today. It only covers the front rail, so hopefully she doesn't figure out to eat the side rails!

Worked like a charm and was super cheap.

It was for DS as well. I pick it up and put it on the counter a lot during the day. Then put it back down when she's napping.

Thanks for the bday wishes! Got home about an hour ago. Exhausted! Decided to take train into downtown for aquarium and my card wouldn't work so we got stuck there for a while and late to aquarium. DD was being super bratty because for once I wanted to do what I wanted instead of her. Like come on kid, there are 364 days that are all what you want. Give me one! my body has been killing me carrying 20lbs of DS between yesterday and today. I was sweating my butt off and pushing DD in the stroller. Went to free swim at the public pool but not 5 mins in, they closed for lightening so we went to get pizza then free ice cream for my bday! Also, saw a rainbow driving home! Time to snooze forever!

We let him play with the empty food bowl but the water bowl has to be picked up and put down when the dog needs it.

Dd2 has a slight fever today so I'm really trying to push fluids. After a long nap I tried to feed her and she freaked out so I thought I'd see if she wanted some milk from a sippy cup and she drank 4 oz. Obviously she was hungry enough where I would expect she'd want to eat from me but she is still refusing a lot of the time. 😒

This baby! He screeched till I took him out of his high chair and let him eat out of my bowl and hold my fork (and put his half-chewed chicken back in my bowl...)

Apparently DD is old enough now that a 10 minute "nap" in the car has her fresh as a daisy 😒
