Do the estrogen pills for FET prevent ovulation? I feel like a n00b for not knowing. Haha My RE told me the estrogen was supposed to help thicken the uterine lining. It could also have something to do with ovulation. 🤷🏽♀️ I guess my fear is what if I ovulate and got pregnant and we transferred. Not in the market for twins lol

The lab techs have a bet going on that one of our embryos could turn into twins. I guess he was dividing much faster than the other embryos. We are not transferring him.

I do have blood work and ultrasound on CD16 which should show if I ovulated/was about to. At least we wouldn’t transfer if it showed O.

I asked my RE about this at my appointment this month. He said the estrogen should suppress ovulation, and it would be very unlikely that ovulation would happen while on it.

lastnamewithheld Yay for progress! I’m glad everything is finally getting going for you. I’m sorry about your credit card issue. sharebear I totally understand where you are at. Take as much time as you need. radiantfate Welcome! I hope your stay here is short. Welcome back ttcbabyj and teachermomtobeAs for me, I’m just waiting for DH to come around. The back to back losses have been really hard on both of us. I like to have something to look forward to which is why I wanted to do an IUI round while we save back up for IVF2, but so far he’s not on board. He feels like it will be a waste of money and hurt us even more. I hate the month of May. Mother’s Day has been so hard for me that last 6 years. I’m already dreading next weekend. I think I might be the only one here TTC #1 still? Sorry that turned into a rant. Beep. Still trying to get a rainbow take home. Hugs, I know it’s hard. Sending hugs right back to you PO! How are you doing?

I had a monitoring appt on Wednesday. They saw some fluid in my uterus so they want me to come back Monday before Tuesday transfer to make sure it’s gone so FX it’s gone so we don’t have to cancel!

Sorry I've been away a bit, it's been a whirlwind of a month!
I got the results of my HSG, bloodwork, and DH's SA earlier this week.
Bloodwork: All normal. Good FSH, LH, AMH. Normal prolactin and estrogen. HSG: I have one partially blocked tube, one fully blocked tube, and an as of yet undetermined uterine defect. SA: Count good, motility/morphology both poor (under 1% on each).
So we're looking at a diagnosis of mild MFI as well as secondary infertility on my part. Next steps are supplements for DH and a repeat SA in a few months, and a hysteroscopy to remove the uterine defect and with possible tubal canalization, and then provided that goes well and the supplements DH is taking result in a more favorable SA, we're candidates for IUI, which is good. Unfortunately, I'm above the BMI limit for our clinic to do the hysteroscopy so I have to lose ~50lbs before they can do it. That's disappointing, but something I needed to do anyway. So now we're playing the waiting game. I joined Weight Watchers earlier this month and I've been busting my butt on workouts as it is and have already lost 5lbs so...45 more to go. Knowing there's a baby at the end of this journey is keeping my hopes up and keeping me motivated.
I feel like my posts are always super long. I should start a blog instead. LOL

happy june, everyone! should we start a june thread? quick update from me: DH has had motility issues and after a few months of taking coQ10 twice daily and a men's multi, his counts were awesome (above what dr. was hoping for), so we tried our first IUI cycle last week. i went in for P4 bloodwork check this AM and my levels is around 6 (they want 15). i'm starting Prometrium today, and i'm a little nervous. haven't tried any hormones or fert meds yet... champagne, i am also TTC #1, so you're not alone! xx

We transferred one 4AA embryo today. Now we wait!

radiantfate Congrats on the weight loss! I know it’s so hard but I’m proud of you. I’m sorry for the blocked tubes and MFI diagnosis, but at least you now have answers. Our diagnosis is MFI (low everything) so let me know if you have any questions. larraine That’s great to hear the supplements had such a positive impact on your H! Fingers crossed for you. teachermomtobe Congrats on being PUPO!!! Rooting for you! Also, we probably should start a June thread, but I was being lazy 😜

Our RE "prescribed" Conception XR & CoQ10 for him...did yours recommend the same or anything additional? We added on L-Carnitine because I saw there's a version of Conception XR that has it but it was vastly more expensive to buy that than to buy the regular and match the L-Carnitine in the same dosage as an additional supplement.

I’m responding here since this is where the question is, and then I’ll jump to the June thread. Ours had him do CoQ10 and some other vitamins. We didn’t do the conception xr so maybe that’s the trick! We didn’t get any improvement though and we were told to just go straight to IVF with ICSI. We decided to try IUI with donor sperm first while we saved for IVF (we are 100% OOP). After 6 failed iuis we did IVF with ICSI and we had two early losses. Now that we’re back to square one I should ask about that.
