I'm annoyed. I lost my diet bet. The most frustrating thing about it is that I had already hit the goal going into the weekend but then splurged on Saturday for my moms birthday and Sunday we went out to lunch. So it is 100% on me but I am just mad that I had hit it but then as of today I am 2lbs up. I also thought I had another day thinking it ends tomorrow but I know realize I have to submit my final weight today.
I hate that I do so well during the week and then the weekends go to shit.

That's frustrating waitwhat! I lost mine by like .5 a pound and them immediately lost it the next day. Such a pain. But you're doing awesome so don't get discouraged!

I wish eating extra fries would make me skinny.

I wish eating extra fries would make me skinny. I just told my coworker that I’m jealous she’s going to Jamaica in two weeks bc naturally she’s gonna lose 5 lbs despite stuffing her face with food and drinks bc of gastro issues.

I assumed it was just Mexico places. I'm looking at vacations for me & MH. Trying to decide between a short cruise out of galveston or actually flying somewhere. By the time we pay for the cruise, alcohol package & a dining package (apparently MH is a food snob) we might as well just fly somewhere.

I’m not 100% positive but I don’t think it’s limited to Mexico, I thought Caribbean in general but could be wrong. I’m wth YH. I don’t like AI food. I feel like it’s always terrible and eating is one of my favorite things on earth; when I’m on vacation I need to have the best culinary experience that I can. Mostly bc food around me is not necessarily winning awards for being great ya know. You guys though have tons of options, I’m always jealous of people who live in foodie cities. But to your note, I have no idea what flight prices are like down there but I ma guessing you can hack your way with flights and hotels and make it just as affordable to fly somewhere and then spend your money on the specific food and drink you want. (Hack = sometimes using one airline out and another back, or flying into/out of different airports, Priceline Express deal hotels - and for anyone who uses that site, I can tell you exactly what hotel you would be getting if you ever want to know before booking)

tgrimes, are you open to Aribnb if you decide to fly somewhere? I'm doing that for our trip to Denver. The place I got is a small private unit, probably not any larger than a standard hotel room. But I figured we would be out and about most of the time anyway. It has a little kitchenette, bathroom and TV, which is really all we need. We are there for 4 nights and I paid $450 total. This will be our first time staying in an Aribnb, but the cost was so much less than any hotel I could find. Even the cheap hotels by the airport were more per night, and with this we are right in the middle of a really cool neighborhood with tons of restaurants and bars in walking distance. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea though and I totally get why people wouldn't be interested in it.

I'm not sure how they work in different countries though.

tgrimes Out of curiosity: 1) when are you guys looking to go 2) what is your total budget 3) what are your primary interest/requirements?? I absolutely love planning travel, like I think I have researched every single Caribbean island and American destination possible. Unfortunately I am too broke and have too much anxiety to be further than 2-3 hours away from the kids.

I don’t have exact dates but I’m guessing sometime in October. I doubt MH will be able to take more than 3 days off work so it’d have to be like a Friday-Tuesday. Or Saturday-Wednesday type trip. I don’t want the Bahamas, st martin or the BVIs because I’ve been there previously.

I’ve done air bnb in France and Portugal without issue. We just looked up the listings that were in English or said they had English speaking or ex-pat hosts.

So I fell off the no soda bandwagon and went ham for a few months, was even worse than before, and am currently in attempt no 2 to stop.
This time is so much harder. So, so much harder. It's only day 3. I am so damn tired all the time and the headaches have begun. Whyyyyyyyy
