DD did some awesome unassisted sitting tonight! Still with a spotter of course, but I think at one point she may have sat unassisted chewing on her blocks for nearly 60 seconds. She's really getting the hang of it! Woohoo!!

Took C to the lactation consultant this morning to check in and he’s still a peanut at 13 lb 11 oz, but took in 5 oz in a weighted feed so the Zantac is definitely working. The LC said he’s doing great. Had to laugh when I picked him up and he did this: It’s funny, most of the time when he eats he either holds my boob or kneads it like a cat does. J says he does it to the bottle, too.

Dramaphile love it! DD always smacks my boob when she's eating. And loves to put her hand down my shirt too. Dd1 still sometimes puts her hand in my shirt too and she's 2.5!

I've been a little worried that DD wasn't babbling by 6 months (especially when the pedi questionnaire asked about it) but the pedi said I should adjust for her being early all the way up until she's two 😮. In the last two days DD has been babbling up a storm! It's crazy how fast she started and now she's always talking!

We had a super busy two days. Friday I took the kids in to the pediatrician to make sure they were not contagious and to listen to their lungs. DD had had a mucus cough for two weeks. Then we went to a big chemistry and physics carnival at the local university. It's targeted for kids. It was a lot of fun. Then I took them out for pizza. DD fell asleep in the car before we got home. Saturday we went to a breakfast in the morning by my parents house then the park close by. After we met up with the little girl I nannied and her mom at a big science festival at the city's big park. It was beautiful out. I ended up having to put my 36lb 42 inch 3.5 year old on my back in the mei dai carrier for the almost one mile walk back to the car. I about died and sore today. It was DS's first time out in the heat and sun. He gets hot so easily. Today we will be going to an event at a local Landtrust to paint fairy doors and plant in the children's garden.

Well... we're at the hospital. Our first taste of PB resulted in some contact hives and some pretty forceful vomiting.
He's doing ok now and is happily playing with the pulseox on his foot but they gave him epi to be safe and we'll be here for observation for a while.

Nothing much happening today. The H is at work so I’m taking the girls to Costco when they open and grocery pick up. I had 2 friends have a baby on Wednesday. One is home and one is still in the nicu. I keep asking if they need anything but they never say they do.

At 4:30am today I started thinking about what we need to take on our trip that we leave for on Tuesday morning. I realized we had never got dd's birth certificate that we need to have for her to ride as a lap baby! 😮 Hopefully DH can get it tomorrow. We'll for sure need it because South West asks for it every time

brenna Always busy here. We spent Thursday at the botanical gardens too. And DD seems to be a science lover, especially Astronomy. She knew all the planets and dwarf planets and facts about each by the time she was like 18/19 months. In fact, one of her first really big words was Astronaut at around 14 months.

NymeriaSo scary. Food allergies are no joke. Glad you guys were able to get medical attention fast and your little one is ok. I know food allergies can be stressful. I'm so sorry.

So far so good still so they're going to let us go after the 4 hour mark if nothing changes between now and then. The ER is giving us a prescription for an EpiPen and I'll call his pediatrician in the morning.

I just can't imagine how hard this is for you guys and now I'm guessing you will have to always be very cautious with your ds? Do kids ever grow out of peanut allergies?

A mom's DD from my first BMB outgrew a mild peanut allergy by 2 years old. We'll probably have to do testing to see how severe his is before we can really consider it a possibility, but I'm holding on to hope for now.

Yesterday we kinda randomly decided to buy tickets for Disney on Ice today! I'm glad we went! It was a much more enjoyable show as an adult than Paw Patrol Live.
DD's mandatory blowout was not as well-timed this trip and made us miss the beginning of the show 😂

Thanks everyone. <3
We were discharged as planned and he did great the rest of the night. I kept him in bed with me all night - probably unnecessary but I just couldn't put him down in his crib alone. He's at my MIL's like usual for a Monday but with an EpiPen in tow. With him being so young at least his diet is still 99% breastmilk anyway so no rushing to find non-contaminated foods. I'm at work and will be calling the ped in a bit to see what the next steps are.

We are off to Arizona this morning and just made it to the gate with no melt downs and didn't lose or forget anything, at least not that I know of! Now hopefully we're not the parents with the screaming kids on the plane.

Took C to a wedding on Sunday and I have to AW how freaking cute he was in his little shirt and bow tie! He was so good and even fell asleep in my ring sling halfway through the reception.

Just got home from the pediatrician. As expected not too many answers today, but we did get the referral for an allergist. Scheduled an appointment for April 12, which is definitely a shorter wait than I was expecting. The office closest to home would have been another 3 weeks out so I grabbed first available at any office to get things started. It's actually not that much further anyway which is nice. They offered testing for other allergies as well so I said yes just to take a conservative approach to this all.

Both girls did so well today! Dd2 only slept maybe 30 minutes on the plane and then was up for almost 4 hours and was just a little fussy. Dd1 didn't like during in her car seat for very long on the plane but she sat on DH and was pretty calm for most of the flight. I spilled an entire cup of cranberry juice all over myself and the diaper bag, but other than that everything went smooth.
