What’s everyone using to get newborn poop out of clothes? 💩 A has had a few blow outs already and I thought Ajax is what I used with DD1 but it doesn’t seem to be getting it out. DD1 only had like 5 blow outs ever so never stained clothes but A is a pooping machine and growing out of NB diapers real quick. Thankfully I don’t have many left to use but would like to get the poo out of these 3 outfits that are already stained.

notagoddess oh how tiring! I'm glad you have an appt today. My discharge is tinged slightly pink (and smells strongly of blood/iron) whenever I have a more intense bh contraction (I'm only getting a strong one maybe a couple times a week) I think anything that physically impacts the cervix like that can make it bleed a bit because it's softening and has high blood flow during pregnancy.

cch We haven't had any blowouts yet with this little one (probably just jinxed it haha), but I've had good luck with pre-soaking things in warm water + Oxyclean, or using the mix of Blue Dawn, peroxide, and baking soda that some of the J15 moms suggested way back in the day. Do you just make a paste/mix with the dawn, peroxide and baking soda?

cch I actually love the Dreft laundry spray for tons of stuff. It's my #1 laundry tool, I'm not sure what's in it but it does the job for me as long as I treat the stuff relatively quickly. Otherwise an oxy soak if it's been a while. My main arsenal I use the most is Dreft, blue dawn, Tech and oxy soaks. I’ll pick up some of the dreft spray and oxyclean for sure! Can’t believe she’s already blown up 3 diapers. It was only about a dime sized stain on two outfits but looks so gross and with her track record already I’m definitely expecting more even when we size up in diapers.

notagoddess I’m sorry things stopped. Would you consider having a membrane sweep/ would your OB be willing to do one to see if it’ll get things going again? Hugs!

Do you just make a paste/mix with the dawn, peroxide and baking soda? Sometimes I do that, but other times I just mix the peroxide and Dawn together, apply that to the stains, the sprinkle the baking soda on top. 🤷♀️ I was just thinking I can make a little paste and keep it in a container in the laundry room for quick clean ups. I don’t have blue dawn but I have Ajax. I wonder if I could substitute until I make it to the store to get some. May not work as well but I can try!

Sorry notagoddess, how frustrating! Fingers crossed the sweep gets things moving. I know easier said than done, but try to keep busy to preoccupy your brain!

notagoddess, Here's from my experiences loosing my MP with my pregnancies. DS1: Lost about 3 big chunks and it grew back and I lost it again during active labor. There was blood streaked through it which is something you're looking for. DS2: Lost it in globs over about 36hrs. It's really stretchy and sort of watery all while being thick, like it could definitely plug something up Lol Always streaked with blood, more blood the closer labor got before I finished loosing it. DD: Haven't lost it in the amounts like DS2 or DS1 but it's looked the same way. It's noticeably different than your regular discharge. Someone once described it as being like the mucus from your nose and it is really similar in consistency.

notagoddess This time, I had pink-tinged discharge in addition to more obvious MP all day before my water broke the next morning. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! cch Oxyclean has a gel stain stick that removes almost anything. It was my go-to for blowout and purée stains. That just reminded me to add it to our target list.

B gained 4oz since Wednesday! He’s tipping the scales at 5lbs 12oz. And his pedi gave me the green light to just let B sleep at night instead of waking him for feedings. 🍾 This is music to my sleep-deprived ears, even though I doubt we’ll make it much longer than 3.5 hours to start. That’s still an improvement!

Lots of hugs, notagoddess. I can’t imagine how disappointing and anxiety provoking it must be to have things start and stop like that. CharlieB that is fantastic news!! Hope you get some great stretches of sleep soon!

I have always used Fels Naptha (bar soap found in laundry aisle) first to scrub, and then a shout stain stick. The only things I've never been able to get out with that combo are salad dressing and a huge mustard stain.

B gave us another nice 7 hour stretch last night, but then woke up starving-gulped down some milk and had hiccups for an hour and a half 😏. I also hurt my back somehow nursing her MOTN 👵🏻.

k SEVEN hours?! That sounds like a dream! You must feel like a new woman (minus the back pain, of course). B did not receive the memo that he could sleep for as long as he wanted. After spending his life letting me wake him up to eat, he decided that he needed to nurse every hour and a half last night.

CharlieB I know it won’t last, my kids are notoriously bad sleepers, but I’ll take it as it comes. Sorry about the every hour feeds 😩, that is rough. Growth spurt? 🤞

Can someone TTMA exchanging diapers?
I have an unopened box of newborns that I can’t use. I called Target and they said they won’t take it without a gift receipt. Went to Walmart and the guy said he couldn’t exchange it because it wasn’t ringing up in his system since I didn’t buy them there. Wtf?? Can’t they just give me size 2’s and restock the NB’s? They lose nothing by doing this. I thought this is what I’ve always heard of people doing.

I return stuff all the time with no receipt, you just give them your driver's license. As long as they sell that item you can do it. If you do have a registry there already, you could alternatively just throw it on your registry and mark as purchased. Technically there's a limit on how much you are supposed to be able to return without receipt but I have never had an issue. I'd just bring them in. Shouldn't be an issue! +1 If they sell it in stores or online, they’ll take them for store credit.

I returned a couple shower gifts that were sold by Target but I have no idea where the person actually bought them (off registry, no receipt). They took my license number and gave me the money back on a special gift card that can only be used for in store purchases, not online. Maybe the idea of an exchange rather than a return mixed them up?
