I sit on this bench with you. My kids still went to daycare yesterday. I ran errands. Negative bazillion degrees or not, life has to go on 🤷♀️ meanwhile everyone else literally thought if you went outside you would die. The temperature wasn’t even in the negatives here today. The windchill was but she was literally outside for a minute and a half waiting for the bus. I felt bad about sending her until I realized they probably did crafts and read with her all day. She is probably having a ball. My SIL posted on FB asking how to safely walk her 2 year old from the house to the car 😂 however you normally do in the winter?! I grew up in MN so I guess I'm used to it, these IA people are wusses.

I’m in NY. The low was 2 degrees. We have had colder days and yes it’s dangerous to be out for long. A minute is hardly a long time. I will say that if it was MN, WI or IA cold, I probably would have kept her home. Temps and windchills like that would make keep her home. I am definitely a wuss about the cold though. 😂

Yesterday I understand, it was -45, today "only" -20. Lol. Then it's supposed to be like 40 and rainy all weekend. Iowa weather is drunk.

We had a snow day yesterday for the windchill and today we delayed because the buses wouldn’t start. DS1 is going stir crazy because he can’t go outside to play. And I’m bummed because we got a sled for the baby but every time it snows it’s frigid out and he won’t leave his mittens on his hands.

I hope everyone had a good weekend! It is a balmy 50 degrees here and I'm sooo happy about it! We did a mini session with a photographer for a cake smash and I am so excited to see how the pictures turn out. He LOVED the cake and it was so funny watching him eat it! Behind the scenes pic 😂 and the aftermath!

We are watching the super bowl. I don’t care about football but I like snacks and fun commercials.
I did soooo much work around my house today. I rearranged Gs room, set up a dress up spot with a mirror in there, moved furniture and reorganized stuff. Then I did the same thing to my bathroom and living room. I am exhausted.

OMG pinkcat I can't wait to see those photos! Sorry for everyone who has been frozen. I live in TX so nothing bad, here. In fact we had to turn on our A/C tonight (cooling) b/c it got warm here today plus we had people over for the super bowl and I think all the bodies and dancing children made it even warmer. Callum's 1st birthday was last Friday! It was good but chill as we are doing a party for him March 2nd since my family will be in town there for his dedication at church. Annnnnnd the morning of his birthday I got a BFP!! Still kinda in shock as it was our first month TTC (we had infertility with our 1st and got pregnant via IUI and then 2nd baby was a surprise, so this one was a mixture of TTC but also surprise it happened fast). Very happy though, of course! EDD Oct 13!

pinkcat so cute!!! It's already above freezing here. I know the groundhog means nothing but if we got an early Spring... I'd be really happy. I got Livs invites over the weekend! I'll post pics when I get settled in the office.

I have so much to do for DS2’s party on Sunday. And I can’t believe he’ll be 1 next Monday. We have DS's first birthday party this weekend too. I didn't realize our babies were so close- mine will be 1 on Tuesday! I have lots to do for the party too...I don't feel ready at all lol.

Congrats helloerrbody! I'm an October baby too and think it is a pretty great month. Opal is a cool birthstone too. V turns one tomorrow!! We are having her party this weekend too, Winter ONEderland. We are having a ton of friends over and family too of course. I wasn't expecting everyone to RSVP yes but they all did....lol. I guess that is the difference between doing a summer bday party (DS) and one in Feb (baby V)! We will have chili for dinner and cupcakes. I will start cooking Thursday and the party is on Saturday at 4:30pm, we like doing dinner and then my sister's family will stay for the "after party." We don't break out the beers/wine until most of the guests have gone. No shade, we just don't roll like that for our kids' parties. We will do a Korean tradition also during the party (my MIL is Korean) where V will chose an object to represent her future.

Congrats @helloerrybody! I think I may have a uti so I'm waiting at the ob. I'm really glad I can send my kids to daycare to go to the doc though. Ds2 is walking now and out of the baby room. He is not ready for 1 nap though so he is a cranky mess every evening. Ds1 has a birthday party at the trampoline park on Saturday and swim lessons and dh will be out of town so that should be interesting
