brennaYou need a nice hot soak in the tub! I hope your back feels better tomorrow. I'm seriously contemplating it! A hot bath and some wine sounds like just what I need!

There is a Mardi Gras parade and celebration going on today that we usually go to each year. It's outside and there is a playground. DD has had sniffles for three days but not other symptoms yet, not even a cough. It should be fine to take her, no?! I always feel like outside is better than inside with kids and germs.

I don't hold back much for a cold unless DS is miserable, so for just sniffles I would go.

I'm not too concerned about taking babies out in the cold, they're warmly dressed (I usually babywear, so he's got my body heat, too) and fresh air is good for them.

Yeah, 'm not worried about the baby. I'm just debating with my sniffly 3.5 year old. Like, would people be mad she's playing on the playground and sniffling?

I feel like every 3.5 year old is sniffly this time of year. Unless she's got green goobers pouring out of her nose, I'd probably still go.

Speaking of rolling. You know DD's been rolling to her tummy to sleep. But she couldn't go belly to back. The other day she had woken up from her nap and started fussing being on her belly. I was doing something with DS that I had to finish and when I looked at the monitor again, she had rolled belly to back. I missed it 😢 She's only done it the one time.
She still does not even try to roll in either direction during play time! She only rolls to her tummy to sleep! It's like she doesn't even realize that it's possible outside of her crib!

brenna is your back feeling any better today? a little better. I still am struggling with getting the girls in and out of the car and getting DD in and out of the crib. This happens pretty much about once a year with my sciatic nerve and it sucks every single time it happens. Dd1 keeps asking me to pick her up and hold her and I feel bad because it hurts too much to hold her 😟

I hope you're able to get a little downtime today to rest it 😊

So, I'm on a few local "buy nothing" types of FB pages. It's amazing and has been super helpful with things being tight financially. But I get SO annoyed about people who are just inconsiderate. This one woman is all over the page begging for things and making others feel bad when they get to something first. I've offered a bunch of things to her and it took a lot of time to put together a giant basket of stuff I know she could use. This woman has stood me up 3 times now. I've even offered to drop it off. Ugh! People are rude.

Wow pixiepink24 - she sounds rather annoying and that's so inconsiderate to keep flaking on you!

Wow that's really rude of her pixiepink24. I would have given up on her after being stood up that many times.

DD found her feet during her bedtime routine tonight! 😍 DD has been sucking on her toes during diaper changes. It's so cute, although it makes changing her diaper pretty challenging! Edited to add photo 😍

Dd1's new favorite game is "go to sleep mommy". She makes me lay down with my eyes closed and brings me pillows, blankets, and toys. She gets mad if I try to get up. We just "played" for about 20 minutes before bed, I wasn't complaining!

brenna M plays this too when we play family. Although she never lets us sleep for long. pixiepink24 I think I would have given up the first time I was stood up. I’m pretty sure we are in the 4 month sleep regression. P has started waking 2-3 times a night. Im really hoping that she is just congested.... my sleep is sooo important.

It's a gamble sometimes on what we're gonna get...

Oh also, bedtime has been going so smooth since we removed all of dd's things from her room. Like she literally does not get up once. I wish we would have done this months ago. Hopefully those with toddlers still in cribs never have a crazy LO like DD, but if so, consider removing all fun things from their room ☺️

tbirdlove - Hugs and same. I've gained back about 5 pounds from my lowest post partum point and it has made my "big jeans" too tight to button comfortably some days. I was doing such a good job walking and getting steps in, then winter hit. I'm way too into protecting my milk supply to do much in terms of calorie cutting/working out more than walking until DS2 is older, but I'm making it a goal to stop snacking on junk as much as I have been. Starting next Monday anyway because we go all out for the Super Bowl so I'm going to enjoy myself.

Nymeria I'm also not doing anything about it because it's more important to me to bf than to lose weight. But I just feel so bad about myself sometimes. I'm even having difficulty buying new clothes (bottoms) that fit right because I'm between two sizes and just have so much extra squish in the middle.
