kleigh how's the little lady? Did the ped call back (or did I miss it) Thank you for asking! The nurse called back and basically said that it could be that, or it could be nothing. She said that to test they'd have to cath her (??) so unless she was running a fever or otherwise acting weird let's take a wait and see approach for another day. I'm glad I did that bc she hasn't done it since I made that call 😂. So I'm thinking it was coincidence, she's making SO much noise now (mama, dada, baba - "bottle") and screams like a little howler monkey so it could be either that or teething.

Cheshie6 LOL no. I'm a manager at a lawfirm, but I might as well be the lawyer seeing how I do all of their work. Our attorneys basically just sign/review documents and attend client functions. I decide which accounts to file suit on, review the title work, check service, coordinate tax warrants/bank warrants, oversee the legal assistants, run reports, oversee collections, accounting, pay offs, payment agreements, deed filings, tax auctions, statistics, and the list goes on & on. FFWC: Most attorneys I know IRL are jerks. They act like they're better than everyone else and are arrogant. vino & flamingo have heard stories about my previous attorney, who was a real piece of work. My current attorney is not like that at all, which is great. He still has some learning to do in terms of tax codes/procedures but he'll eventually get there. I deal with a lot of lawyers. There's over 400 in my firm alone & then all the other ones we deal with on a daily basis. Most, not all, but most I dislike. I'll be poofing this later, by the way.

As soon as I started doing litigation I learned quickly to trust no bitch. Aside from the 6 attorneys within these 4 walls, I assume every other attorney is out for him/herself and doesn't give a shit about ethics. Unfortunately that goes for CP too. I mean I do trust him with a lot of things but if I had a case against him my guard would be way, way up.

FTR, I'm sure the same came be said for most doctors. I just don't deal with them on a daily basis. The orthopedic surgeon I saw for my blood clot was a real arrogant son of a bitch though.

I don't either. Literally was asked by the name partner at my old firm, in the context of how many hours I bill, "Don't you want a big house someday?" and I didn't know how to answer him because he clearly thought it was a rhetorical question.

Hey ladies. On our last day here. The days have just flown by. I guess we did it right? I'm not looking forward to the drive back, but I'm ready to be home. The girls' schedules are so screwed up and Lillian has had like almost no child interaction since they have no cousins. I'm not ready for the heat, though. I hate Texas summers and this year is looking particularly bad. Great.
Eh to Jonah. I like the movies he's in, but he's not my favorite. He looks alright now. He's funny, but other people are funnier.
Re lawyer stuff: My dad is an attorney. Or I guess was. I'm not clear on what exactly he does now, but I know he's a VP at some energy company that builds and opperates transmission lines and does law stuff for them. He used to be a partner in one of the bigger firms in town doing admin. and regulation law. Lots of energy stuff, rate cases, etc. I thought about becoming a lawyer, but then I got pregnant so I never applied and I'm not sure I could do it now. Going back to school in any capacity sounds daunting let alone law school.

Same. Did I ever tell y'all the story about my old office and the breaker box? No, but I'm all ears! My old office was a small duplex next to the courthouse and district clerk's office. There were always a shit ton of people outside. Sometimes when you used the microwave, it'd flip the breaker so you'd have to go outside to the back of the building and flip it back on again. I did this multiple times a week and then I refused to ever do it again. I opened the box, flipped the breaker, closed it and saw something fall onto my leg. I thought it was a leaf. Once I realized what it was, I ran (faster than Bolt) screaming around to the front of the office while simutaneously shaking out my hear and brushing off my clothes. Everyone outside saw the whole thing happen and some of the people still bring it up when I see them in court. {Click here to see what it was} It was a MOTHER FUCKING SNAKE!
My coworkers will tell you it was a baby snake that was only 5 inches long, but what I saw was a 20 ft boa constricter that was trying to kill me. Obviously.

There's no doubt in my mind that it really was a 20ft boa trying to kill you. Our old cat brought a little gardener snake (is that what they're called?) inside the house once. My mom and I both lost our shit and made my dad catch it and throw it outside. I don't know what we would have done if he wasn't home. Probably burn the entire house down.

Like, I'm pretty sure only psychopaths do that.

i won the ortho surgeon lotto I guess? The hand, wrist, finger surgeon I used was not only nice, but hot. Huge crush. My sister needed a hand surgeon for her son recently and took him there. Pretty sure she has since found 3 other ailments she needed help with 😂 She tells me she's going there like every other month. For science purposes (will poof)

Where are the babies today? Here we are having lunch at Whole Foods - first time in "restaurant" highchairs (without 5 pt harness), TTMA if I shouldn't do this, or should I pad around them, get one of those covers, etc? H was on the side of AB and I had AV so we were spotting them.
