kbw We has surprisingly good look with puréed pears when the baby was constipated. Apparently P foods are supposed to be good (prunes, peaches, pears, etc). We got lucky on the first one we tried and have now used it a handful of times. We do plums and peaches a lot since they are favorites of his. He hates pears and peas. I’m going to bring it up at his 9 month visit if it keeps happening. I’m also going to try a probiotic and see if that helps.

kbw Poor little guy! Hopefully the doctor has some good suggestions. We had one middle of the night wake up where he just screamed (which never happens) because he was in so much pain. I had to get my husband up because I didn’t know what to do. My husband had taken a baby massage class with the baby which he learned some techniques to help with constipation. It was horrible, but he ended up circling the baby’s legs up pressed against his stomach until he was able to poop. It was probably a good 10-15 minutes of doing this. You might be able to find some massage techniques online to try.

kbw Arden is only pooping once a week too and while she isn’t miserably constipated it’s pretty clear she isn’t comfortable. She’s had two full pouches of prunes since yesterday morning and is still only passing little rabbit pellets. I feel like we need to up our solids game from a calorie stand point, but every time we do she gets backed up.
