teambrink - My calf/ankle/foot swelling was beyond ridiculous with DS1. My feet felt squishy and full of water and it stopped going down overnight towards the end. I hope keeping your feet up helps!

Thank goodness - Tapa got another update. Mine had been messed up for a few days now. It was very annoying.
I have yoga this morning and then a family party later today. I slept decently last night, I think, but I feel soooo exhausted. It's pretty cloudy and cool so maybe that's partially the issue... But it's probably more the fact that I'm hugely pregnant. And being hugely pregnant is exhausting no matter what.

teambrink I hope keeping your feet up helps. I sometimes just use a big bowl as a foot bath!

tbirdlove, I'm pretty much at the point of looking for a big bowl or something. I don't want to spend money on one since I will probably never use it again after pregnancy. I do have DD1s old bathtub now that I think about it and it should work.

I had my massage this morning. It was so nice. I should have been doing those all along.

I had my massage this morning. It was so nice. I should have been doing those all along. I had rescheduled the one that got cancelled for last weekend for today, but after my cervical check yesterday I was worried I might follow in mirabelle's steps and have it send me into labor so I cancelled it. I plan to reschedule for next weekend since at that point I'll be past DS1's birthday and ready to go (unless DS2 decides this week is the week regardless of massage or not).

I broke down and ordered some compression socks form target last week. They finally got here so I’m trying them out today. Hopefully they help my mild swelling and leg fatigue. But man putting on socks (which I haven’t done since like April) was not the easiest task.

akwild,I tried to put on real shoes yesterday and gave up! Luckily the real shoes I wear to school are danskos so I just slide them on. So once I get the socks on I should be ok.

Got the birth announcements I ordered in the mail today and the DOB was wrong... I will laugh about this one day, the sleep deprivation is something.

I was having more of those low, shooting cramping pains throughout the day with baby's movements yesterday. I hope that they're causing some progress down there. Started thinking again a couple times that maybe it might lead to something. Which then got me thinking....
9/9 and 9/10 sound like great birthday options!! 😄 Unfortunately, I don't really think it's gonna happen quite this soon for me, but I like the ring of those dates!

tbirdlove those do sound like great birthday options! Fingers crossed those pains are productive. I have an OB appointment on Tuesday and she’s going to do a cervical check and maybe a membrane sweep - I’m a bit irrationally worried that this will put me into labour and baby will be born with a 9/11 birthday. I’m trying to release this, knowing there’s no way to control when he comes and it is what it is. DH got up with DD this morning to let me ‘sleep in’ - of course I’m in bed wide awake but am taking some time playing on my phone so as not to waste the opportunity lol.

chriskoo when I was thinking about 9/9 and 9/10 being good dates, I too then thought about 9/11 and that I would not prefer that day. I don't care for the 13th either, of any month!

Just FYI Target is having a baby sale this week if you still have some things to pick up from your registry or just general shopping.

Is it bad that I hope my toddler asks to watch tv soon??!? 😂
As uncomfortable and difficult as it is, I think I need to start trying to walk more in hopes of helping things along with baby....
Oh, and it's so chilly here today that I had to put on pants (just lounge pants) and socks for the first time in months. The pants are uncomfortably snug under my belly when I sit even though they're maternity 😕

tbirdlove,I'm having issues with some of my maternity items being more snug and shorter than ideal, but I refuse to buy anything else with one month to go. I hope walking helps things move along.

Yes! I am NOT buying anything else! These pants were washed and then have been sitting in the closet for months so hopefully they'll stretch out juuust a little to help me through these few cooler days. It's supposed to warm back up next week sometime I think. I'm totally gonna make it.

tbirdlove - My maternity yoga pants are definitely tight. My maternity yoga pant capris are fine, but they've gone through both pregnancies now so they're nice and worn in. My yoga pants were new this pregnancy and it got warm before I had to wear them much when I was smaller so they're still basically new, not stretched out at all.

I'm totally failing at the mom to two kids thing. We are heading to dh's soccer game and we realized we forgot shoes for dd1. (I'm going to blame it partially on DH, he put her in the car with no shoes) but I'm feeling like if the two of us can't get out the door with all the basic necessities, how will I do it by myself? Tomorrow DH goes back to work and I've cried several times because I'm so anxious about doing everything by myself.

Hugs brenna. You're not failing - you're just adjusting to having two little ones to pack for to leave the house! It'll get easier with time and practice. Try to be easy on yourself, you're doing a great job 💓

H goes back tomorrow too and I am trying not to panic. Although I think he and DS1 need a healthy break from one another.

I had to buy new maternity jeans with 6 weeks to go. My thunder thighs ate holes in my other pairs and I need them for work :/

You are not failing brenna!! It's going to take time to adjust to having 2 littles around. You'll get the hang of it!! Good luck to you and mirabelle on your first days sans-H's tomorrow!

Ugh. Today, DH suddenly came down with a horrible cold. He’s passed out in our guest room (I banned him from our bed) in a haze of NyQuil and vitamin C. I hope to god that he kicks it soon so that A - I don’t catch it, B - he’s able to be fully present and feeling ok during our baby’s birth, and C - I’m not worried about bringing a new baby into a germy house. This is the worst timing!

brenna as someone who has done the 1-2 transition, it was harder for me than 0-1. It takes time. We didn't feel in a groove as a family for quite some time. You aren't failing, it has been like no time at all since that little nugget arrived. Give yourself grace and don't try to be superwoman. Just keeping those kids alive, fed and basically clothes is sufficient for now.

Well, I woke up motn with a bit of a stomach ache and what feels like constant period-like cramping. No tightening or anything time-able though. Wondering if it's almost time 😟
