I tried to watch last night and the latest episode didn't show up?!?! It only showed up to episode 8. I'm so confused and annoyed.

I'm so bummed it's over. The finale was intense. I started crying as soon as they brought out Janine. I didn't think they would go through with it but I was worried. I have such a soft spot for that poor girl. I'm glad Ofglen 2.0 finally realized how fucked up this all is.
Serena Joy is such a bitch. There is no redeeming her at this point for me. To trot out Hannah like that and threaten her was pure evil. As someone who suffers from infertility as well I almost want to feel for her sometimes but then she pulls shit like this and I just can't.
Moira making it to Ontario didn't seem realistic but I'm glad she made it out.
I wonder what Rita will do with the letters. And where are they taking Offred? Nick said to trust him but I don't know. Before this episode I wouldn't have but now that she's pregnant with his child? Maybe.
I'm really interested to see what happens next season! It's been so long since I read the book I can't remember what things from the finale were in the book and what wasn't. I'm going to start rereading soon.

{Spoiler}I'm probably going to forget this so I want to ask this now. In the beginning of the episode when they shock June, what the hell was that?? I'm 39 minutes in so maybe they'll explain later idk.

I have so many feels from this episode. wow. {Spoiler}How fucked up for Serena to tease her with her daughter. Bitch knows how to manipulate her.
I have always liked Nick and I trust him. I don't think he is going to let anything bad happen to Offred since she is pregnant with his child. At least I'm hoping.
I just hope they don't go after her daughter.
I'm so glad they stood up for Jeanine. How empowering for them.
I have so many questions. I don't want to wait until next season!

I can't imagine how that must have felt for her. I'm so glad she was reunited with Luke.

I just finished. Had to pause to transport my kid from one camp to another. HOLY SHIT. First: Mrs. Waterford. Hate her. omg. I am scared though with that ending. I also trust Nick & I'm hoping he has some power that maybe he can keep Hanna safe as well or maybe he also got to her? who knows. Moira realizing that Luke put her down as family. oh the tears. I cannot wait until the next season. What a freaking cliffhanger. Whoa.

Omg have they announced when the next season starts?!! Talk about a cliffhanger. I LOVED this season. Each episode was so so hard to watch but so well done. Ugh. I don't know how to spoiler on mobile so I'll just leave it at that. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

OMG that was so good.
1. I trust Nick. The middle guy with the white/grey hair who was sitting next to Waterford at the trial is the guy who recruited Nick (I'm pretty sure). Nick definitely has some clout.
2. Mrs. Waterford can go fuck herself. She created this society and just as she kind of is about to get a kid, nope! fuck you lady. it was coming. Oh and the Hannah thing was just cruel.
3. So many feels for the handmaids standing up to Aunt Lydia.
I love the line, "if they didn't want us to be an army, they shouldn't have given us uniforms" *chills* NamasteBirches, the shock was for "disrespecting" the handmaids who walked down the hall. June did not bow her head and stared at them for a bit. The OTHER part (with the ear) was tagging her, I think. It looked like it took a notch out of her ear (like they do with fixed feral cats), perhaps they explain better in the book ... I'll let you know when I finish reading it.

They have shown her touching it before.

This was just posted in the Blinds thread. I know we lightly discussed a while ago but now that the season is over & we really got into the series I just can't wrap my head around how she can play this role.
This whole newfound popularity is really working against this A- list mostly television actress in a very hit almost television show. Message boards are filled with people discovering for the first time she is basically living her show and are really turning against her.

oh okay, I must have missed this tag thing. UGH It's usually covered so it's easy to miss. Waterford made a point to make sure her hair was down and covering her ear because of it when they went to Jezebels. In the Luke episode the handmaid had one that was much more visible since she wasn't covering it.

Just finished this season and it was sooooo good. So many tears during the finale. This has always been one of my favorite books and the show really did it justice. There were certainly some changes, but not in a bad way.
This season ended where the book did, so if you are wanting to read the book prior to season 2 it shouldn't spoil anything.
Can't wait for season 2! I trust Nick's intentions, so I'll be interested to see where this goes.

I just watched the last three episodes... Of course there is a whorehouse...That just really infuriates me even though I'm not shocked by it... Mrs. Waterford is the worst. I had to take a break from that last episode after that scene in the car when she sees Hannah. I just can't imagine.

I spent the entire show with my face in my hands, silently crying. - they are supposed to be in Boston, right? I'm thinking, based off the timeline of ovulation to now, that it's been about 2 weeks, so Moira has been on the run for that time.
She looked so shocked at the refugee center, dude's all, here's all this normal stuff, sorry you've been assigned to a whore house.
- Hannah was in a pink dress, does that mean that she will have to be a handmaiden? The colors in this show are so so symbolic, it must mean something. For a while I thought SJ might come around and perhaps be part of the resistance, I've changed my mind on that now. I'm not very squeamish, but I had to turn away at the amputation scene. And I wondered if he could feel it.
I'm ready to BURN IT DOWN.

The book at least is definitely set in Boston, and I thought the show was as well, but at the moment any specific references are escaping me.

Why were they amputating that guy's arm anyways? I for sure thought they were gonna go for his d.

The amputation scene really grossed me out. Really, any and all amputation for a non-medical reason is one of my worst nightmares.
