I haven’t yet been able to have the vagina conversation properly with DS because he still refuses to believe I don’t have my own penis that’s just “hidden” or “broken” somewhere. 🤔 My son thinks I lost my penis. I told him that girls just have different parts, and he was like, "no... daddy has a penis, I have a penis, you lost yours." He'll figure it out eventually.

Gosh, sarcaztic10 6.5 seems plenty old enough to know the basics of how a baby is born and I’m sure many of the kids in his class already had the general idea from when their own siblings were born. I would be shruggy guy about the teacher’s reaction too!

DD hasn’t really asked about how her brother will enter the world. She knows that she’s getting a brother. She’ll mention him to folks at daycare. But that’s as far as it goes. I’m not pushing it because I am not prepared to answer 😂

I would be shruggy guy about the teacher’s reaction too! I got the impression that it came as quite a shock to some of the other kids in his class and their parents weren’t happy about it. I live in an area where stuff like that just isn’t discussed. Most kids don’t call their vagina and penis the proper terms and may not even know the correct terms. I just roll my eyes and move on. I do like that DS2 isn’t at all grossed out by the birth process and is totally unphased by women breastfeeding.

Our dinner convos are funny, it's often N saying "Mommy has a gina, Daddy has a penis, Nick has a penis, Mom-Mom has a gina!"

We lost power last night for like 5 hours after it had been 90+ all day and it was hot AF. I wanted to die. DS was sleeping next to me then & was like sweating on me & kept putting his hot feet on me. Was not a pleasant experience.

I am over here salivating over baby carriers I can’t afford right now. I am currently trying to sell a couple of my less used carriers to try to fund these new carriers but no luck so far. Hopefully my stuff sells soon. I really want these 2 new carriers for Felix.

Who was having the tender belly? I can't remember. Anyhoo, I'm totally having it now. It feels kind of...bruised. Or something. I've never had this particular sucky symptom before.

I've never had this particular sucky symptom before. *raises hand* Yes to bruised, but on the inside. I very much cringe when DS nudges two particular spots. I have an OB appointment today and I’m praying they use the doppler on a not-sore spot! I never experienced this with DD. I’ve asked about it at every appointment, and they tell me I’m fine every time 🤷🏻♀️

I'm so freaking excited, tomorrow is D-day for my sister, either she goes into labor by then, or she is induced (they said she has to be 2 cm for them to attempt a partial induction since she wants to attempt a VBAC), or she has a RCS. Either way, I'm going to have a new niece very very soon!!
And count me in on team sore belly, there are a few spots he loves to repeatedly shove his feet/knees and butt into that feel bruised at this point.

Our loft is 2 ish days away from being a fourth bedroom! It was the biggest thing on my list I needed to cross off before the baby comes, and I can’t even begin to describe the relief I’m feeling.

That’s such a relief. Our upstairs Reno just finished last week and I feel like I can breath because now it’s just the easy stuff. If only I would stop changing my mind about decor for DS2s room 🤔

OB appointment today. She says it’s too early for BH. Really? Cause I’ve had them for the last 10 weeks. Anyway. She said to drink more water. I’m probably dehydrated. Sigh... I already feel like I’m drowning and peeing enough.
HB was at 155. I go back in three weeks and have my marching orders for the glucose test. Woooooo.
I’m tired and cranky, clearly. lol.

Anyone else an emotional wreck? I am irrationally pissed or sad 25 times a day. I’ve been snippy with H, who has been so kind and helpful, and then I start crying because I’m being so bitchy and he’s just trying to make my life as easy as possible. I am over these hormones.

quijibo That’s really odd. I have started having minor BH with both pregnancies at 17w and both of my OBs have said it’s normal. 🤷🏻♀️

B knows his brother is in my belly, but most of the time he doesn’t care anymore. He’s so bored by baby talk and it makes me a little sad. I’m trying to keep it low key for awhile. He still occasionally kisses brother and says he loves him.
He knows what my boobs are somehow, and they are huge now so he points them out. I’m just waiting for him to do it in public or in front of someone.
We took a bath the other day since he insisted joining mine, and he saw my pubic hair (which I TRY to keep maintained dammit), and was like “uh oh mama, mama poop!” 😒 Rude. RUDE.
Children, I swear.

Oh and as for sore bellies.. I go here..
I have an umbilical hernia though. Whenever I sneeze or cough I have to bend over and hold my belly button or else it hurts. It feels like it’s going to shoot my insides out. A pretty picture, I know. Luckily it just looks like my belly button popped so it’s not horrible.. but so dumb.

Emotional wreck over here! Like, I’m irrationally irritated by the latest car seat recommendations. I feel mom shamed for turning my kid at 2.5 😂 You could sneeze weird near me and I’d somehow find a reason to cry about it.
DD flipped the eff out at daycare drop off today and it took all of my power to not cry in my car. “I just want a hug, mama!” as she screams and cries. My heart. It broke.

Those moments with our kiddos are so hard. I’m sure she had a good day and hopefully you guys hugged it out tonight.

My son was talking about the baby at daycare the other day. The teacher said she asked her name and he was very upset he didn't know it. Well we haven't officially decided 😬
Also I had an ultrasound at 29 weeks and she was estimated at 3.5 lbs also. My FH always measured a little behind until the end last time (I'm tall) but so far I've been right on. She can't be bigger than my 10lb first, right?!
