I'm running out to pick up yet another Marketplace find this morning. Might also try to stop at Home Depot and possibly the bank. It's been cool and cloudy and rainy here the past few days so no big plans.

I mentioned in the weekly check-in that I was going to be calling a Webster certified chiro to see if they were taking new patients. They are and got me in at 4:15pm today! I'm excited because my hip was killing me yesterday.

DD had her 3 year check up this morning. It's so crazy how she is getting so big. They actually took her without me to do all her vitals and such and I was shocked how she didn't freak out and was so talkative with them and not afraid. Probably the best appointment we've ever had. Time goes way too fast. I'm also in complete denial on her height and realized that I have to suck it up and finally turn her car seat around. I would have loved to keep her rear facing but she is one inch shy of the maximum height for RF in her seat. I have no idea why this gives me such anxiety.

Because everyone talks about how RF is so much safer - it's ingrained in most moms' heads to the point that turning their kid around even for a reason like hitting the seat limit will make some parents nervous. You've done a great job keeping her RF this long. Hopefully it doesn't take you too long to become more comfortable with the switch.

pixiepink24 - I turned DD just after her third birthday. I was nervous at first, too but it's been fine.

Thanks NymeriaIt's hard not to think of "what if?". A friend's daughter was just in an awful accident with her grandmother and her 1st grader was safe with only scratches and bruises (in a car seat) but her 10 year old is in really bad shape with lots of internal damage. I know she's not in a booster anymore and things like that make me want to be able to protect them forever!! #carseatsuntilcollege 😬

pixiepink24 - The timing will certainly make you more anxious with that going on! I hope the daughter ends up being totally ok!

pixiepink24 my DS is tall and I already feel anxious for when he inevitably needs to be turned FF sooner than I'd like because of his height! Totally feel you, and agree with Nymeria that it's because it's so ingrained that RF-ing safer. Hope your friends daughter is ok!

I'm trying to remember when my linea nigra showed up with DS. I swear I had it by now and I have NO SIGN of one yet this time! Interesting....

I'm trying to remember when my linea nigra showed up with DS. I swear I had it by now and I have NO SIGN of one yet this time! Interesting.... I just noticed a very faint line last night after I got out of the shower. Mine starts off that more bruise-like yellow color and will get slightly darker from there (if it repeats what happened the first time).

tbirdlove - The appointment went great. I loved the dr and already felt better after one adjustment. I'll be going 3 times a week for 4 weeks then every other week until delivery. It's going to be expensive (not covered by my insurance) but it will be nice too alleviate any of my hip pain that I can. Plus I'm all about doing anything that could possibly help me avoid back labor due to a sunny-side-up baby this time.

Bummer it's not covered by insurance though. Insurance is stupid.

Bummer it's not covered by insurance though. Insurance is stupid. It really is. I shouldn't complain because my policy is generally pretty good for the most part, but I stopped seeing my regular chiropractor years ago because insurance dropped them while I was undergoing treatment. They number of chiropractors in the area that take my insurance is so low that it's not worth the effort to find a good one that's in network. I have some money in my HSA to offset some of the costs, but for the chance this helps at all I'll suck it up and pay. Leaving work in a half hour for appointment number 2!

Growth ultrasound showed baby was in the 61st percentile for growth! Estimated 4 pounds 11 oz. Now I'm chilling in my nst. The ultrasound tech was super surprised my OB is having my do NSTs this early and said maybe it was something new but she hadn't heard of other patients with a two vessel cord having to do them this early so I'm kind of like 🤔. My ob tends to be pretty conservative so maybe she just wanted to be on the safe side.

Ugh... this morning while I was getting M ready for school I had some pain on the top of my stomach and got really hot and nauseous. I couldn’t find a position that made the pain go away. It was only for a minute or two, but it felt like a lifetime.
So after my oil change today I have big plans of my couch and a ton of water.

Well shit... I've been so hoping to never get this call... Daycare thinks DS has HFM.... Ugh! Fingers crossed it's a mild case. Smoothies, Motrin, and cool baths or kiddie pool time works wonders. Lots of bleach or disinfectant to clean! Don't forget that it can stay in saliva and poop for up to three weeks!!!!

Lots of bleach or disinfectant to clean! Don't forget that it can stay in saliva and poop for up to three weeks!!!! If I'm going to get it, it's definitely way too late. I know for sure he stole a couple sips out of my water cup recently. He never really even had a fever so I'm hoping that means mild. He felt slightly warm over the weekend but never even broke out of the 99's. Daycare goes by what the drs office says in terms of being able to return, but his peds office doesn't even want to see him since it's viral. So daycare is trying to figure out when he can come back.

I redesigned my mountains a little the other day so that the tallest mountain is in the middle with shorter ones on either side. Today I got the front, main mountains drawn on the wall! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out so far. But all the up, down, up, down, standing, squatting, sitting while measuring and drawing has destroyed my quads! Holy shit - I feel like I've done 500 squats. Not exactly what my body needs right now 😂
We're meeting the second birth doula team this afternoon. Then we'll be able to finalize the decision, pay a deposit, and check that off the list!
