Add us to the day of crappy naps yesterday. We flew home from AZ and didn't get her down until just after midnight. It's 8:15am and she is just starting to get restless 🙌 I had to hand express around 6 to relieve some discomfort and just waiting for her to wake up as I'm getting uncomfortable again.

I feel like I've been crazy busy this week thanks to going back to work. I'm even working while doing two of my work pumps. Then when I get home I get to wash all the bottles from pumping and daycare. I hoping we can figure out a good routine for the evenings. I know DH is as worn out as I am.
But H seems to be doing well with the transition to daycare and it's not messing with her sleep much. 🙌

My parents came up to see R and ended up taking T with them for the night. She’ll have a blast “camping” with my mom (on their deck) and DH and I will just have to worry about R until tomorrow 🙌🏻 It’s turning out to be a good day!

We had newborn pictures done today. The photographer was amazed because he had his eyes open and following her pretty much the entire time. We also got some pictures done with my dad in his Santa suit and she was so excited about that lol

During a playdate this morning, L had a blowout that required both of us to change our clothes. It was...special. Luckily we were at home!

This sounds a bit silly, but I feel like it’s really hard to get a photo of W that looks like her. Her expressions and even coloring come out really different in photos than seeing her in the flesh. Perhaps I’ll look back on them and see they actually are like her but right now it’s like looking at a different kid on the screen sometimes!

I'm hoping that our professional pictures look like him at least lol

So DD is 3 weeks, when do you start placing them on a bedtime routine. Right now it is more eat, pass out asleep. I can’t remember when DD1 first had a bedtime.

For DD1 we didn’t start getting more of that until 3-4 months. I think this is what we did with DD1 as well. But I was also going back to work at that point so I needed some sort of routine and sleep.

I had my PP visit and it went well. I want to get an IUD but my ute is really tilted so I have to wait for my MW to consult with one of the drs and talk about putting it in with an ultrasound. DH would get a vasectomy tomorrow if I let him but I’m not closing that door quite yet, even though I am getting rid of my maternity stuff and the nb clothes.

F has begun having a witching hour. It sucks because he starts around the time H goes to work and continues pretty much the entire time he's gone. Ugh

J is one month old today. DS1 said we should take him swimming to celebrate, so we did. He slept the whole time, so I guess he doesn’t hate the water?

My left boob needs to get with the program. It leaks more, but produces less than half of the right. Like wtf?

I just got a few belly laughs out of L when I was doing peek-a-boo with him. It was so sweet.
I brought him to the kitchen to show H. I did peek-a-boo and L just gave me a dirty look.

My heart exploded with love. Because of farts.

DS is cranky today and not napping well. I put him in the swing just to see if he would fall asleep. Well, he didn't, but he has at least not been whining for like 20 minutes. I'll take it. It's funny how you forget to try new strategies when you find something that works. I haven't tried the swing for a few weeks and I just remembered to try it today.

F had her 1 month appointment and she’s 10lb now! Only 60th percentile, which is way down from the 95th, where she was at birth. But I wasn’t surprised since DD1 is very average in stats so I figured she’d drop. The dr wasn’t worried.

I'm seriously considering giving up dairy for a bit to see if it helps with DS's spitting up, it has gotten pretty bad. He is generally pretty happy, but has definitely been more fussy lately.
I tried the same thing for DD because she was colicky, but it didn't help. So I don't know if I'm hoping it works or it doesn't...

beersandweirs I’m confused now about the dairy thing. My dr took stool samples of W today so I’ll know on Monday if she has any inflammation. It wasn’t an allergy test though. And she told me because W is settled and gaining eight well I shouldn’t cut out dairy until we know it’s that. So now I’m confused: do I cut it out anyway in case she’s uncomfortable while we’re waiting, or do I not cut it out so I don’t mess with anything unnecessarily that might throw off my supply or her tummy? I’m thinking I’ll just cut it out and see what happens while I’m waiting for the results?
