The 4 month sleep regression sucks so hard. She just turned 4 Months today but the last 3 weeks has been awful. She was born at 37w 2d so maybe she hit it early...right? I hate the thought of it dragging on even longer.

I’m sorry you are dealing with the regression. It sucks. I’m up because I just got home from work. I am winding down and will hopefully sleep soon.

Hiiiiii.
This baby used to sleep through the night. Not anymore! 😬😬😬 And I’m trying to get her to sleep in the pack n play instead of the rocker and it’s not working so far. I spent two hours tonight trying to get her to go down, then gave up and put her back in the rocker. Come onnnnnnn.

I’m here to say it will pass haha. We had the last 3-4 weeks of multiple wake ups (he was down to one before that) and now we’re getting back to one or none (last night, hallelujah). so there will be a light at the end of the tunnel!!!

I was up in the middle of the night. 😴I think we have definitely hit the 4 mo regression. We were up a few times last night and the night before. When I feed DD2 and start talking, she looks up and all around. So I know she’s not eating as much as she used to. She’s discovering all of these new things around her. I just keep telling myself this is a phase and this too shall pass.
I just want my sleep back!

Been there done that... Her 4 month sleep regression hit early too and lasted about 3 weeks I think (I was in a fog due to lack of sleep). She is now back down to 0-1 wakeup again and we all feel a lot better.

Mine is now up every 2 hours lately. So sleepy. With DS1 the 4 month regression never passed. It just got worse until we sleep trained. I think I'm going to sleep train here soon.

I *think* j’s 4 month sleep regression came early (around 3.5 months).
He had 3 nights in a row of getting up EVERY HOUR!
Since then, he has slept through the night with an occasional wake-up. He sleeps till 5a or 6a. I hope this continues!

I’m trying to pull the trigger on sleep training. It’s not so much for MOTN wake ups but falling asleep requires some work and it’s annoying. I just hate CIO because it’s miserable but it works so well.

I hate the thought of it dragging on even longer. our kids are twins I swear right down to the birthday. Since I went back to work on 5/16 his sleep turned horrible and I was and still am exhausted. My mom told us to finally move him out of its room to see if that helped and the last 3 nights we’ve been down to one wake up. and he was born at 38 +2.

Baby slept through the night one time ever and it was on my trip last weekend. And it was only because she turned over onto her tummy to sleep. Not sure I'm ready for that. She doesn't have room to flip over in her travel bassinet so we may be moving her into her crib in the next few weeks. We waited until 9m with DD1 but I think I'm comfortable doing it at 6m with DD2. I am not sure how putting her down is going to go. She gets really fussy when she's tired and fighting sleep then passes out. I hate CIO too marygracerich because it's hard to listen to but it really does work. Maybe I will just transfer her to her crib after she falls asleep for the first week to make it easier for me.

We need to work on sleeping in the crib and falling asleep unassisted. I think I’m going to put it off for a couple more weeks. Can’t believe she’s five months old!! We’re usually up once.

We have the crib thing down pat, we need to work on the falling asleep unassisted but she is getting better. We swaddle her then give her a paci (or bottle depending on when she last ate) and will rock her for a little bit. We try not to rock her completely to sleep and put her in the crib while she is still awake (but drowsy). She will usually go down pretty quickly, sometimes we have to go in and put the pacifier back in 1-2 times.

Then I sit him up for a bit. Then it’s swaddle, paci and cuddle until drowsy. Then I stand in his room until he is asleep. I would like to just put him down and walk away and let him fall asleep. I think he is capable but it’s going to take some tears and I haven’t had the guts for it.

Hopefully it stays that way when she finally learns to sleep at daycare...

misspatty is she rolling to her belly and getting pissed that she’s on her belly? Maybe try waiting a few to see if she can figure it out. ETA: Or try hush patting her to see if she’ll settle.

Also here, and I'm pretty sure we're hitting the regression. This weekend is shitty but I till Fri I'm going to start night crib sleep and go from there. Ugh.

We’re up once a night 95% of the time. Tonight was a lot earlier than normal but he ate 7oz and was immediately back to sleep. He’s slept through the night maybe 8 times and I can’t wait until that is consistent.

misspatty could also be a growth spurt! I usually let DS fuss around for 10-20 minutes and if he doesn’t start to settle I just feed him.

Up again tonight. It’s not a rolling thing for us either bc he loves his tummy and sleeps better on it. I feel like I shouldn’t complain bc he eats & goes right to sleep but I’m over it haha.

Tonight was a little bit better. Almost all wake ups are to eat quick and back asleep in about 30 min.
She was sleeping 7-9 hour stretches before and now it’s 2-3.5 at a time. I really hope we can get back to before. DD1 didn’t sleep through consistently until 15 months even after sleep training.
Thanks ladies for input! Sorry some are here but glad we can commiserate together.

Baby was awake from 12:30-3:15. For no apparent reason. And she was still awake for the day at 6. Not cool tiny friend, not cool.

Baby woke up at 2:30 so we put in her paci and she calmed down for like 20 minutes so we did that over an over for like an hour and a half. then she woke to eat at 5:30 and my alarm went off an hour later. I was kind of up anyway though because my mind was racing.

I'm still up in the MOTN with baby but as I nurse him, I have to hold his hand, otherwise he continuously rubs his eyes and wakes himself up more. So no phone entertainment while nursing.
He is typically getting up once for a paci pop and once to eat.
I think we would both sleep better if he was in his own room but I'm still not ready. I love having him beside me.

Anyone else’s LO scream and cry in the MOTN because the paci fell out? 😳
I really think it’s comforting to her because she had an ear infection and she’s teething (2 bottoms are poking through), but it is killing me having to get up 171837 times a night. Finally, I got a bit smarter and after the second wake up, I put her in the RNP next to my bed so I wouldn’t have to get up. She slept better last night. Finally.

I am attempting to get him to fall asleep without me tonight. I gave him a bottle. I sat him up for a bit. Then I took him upstairs, swaddled him, gave him the pack and paid him down. I stood there for a few. Now I am sitting on the steps sort of near him but he can’t see me. I have only had to replace the paci once. Let’s hope he is tired enough to knock out.
