Mine it's tipped backward, whatever that is called. With all my losses, RE was very clear that uterus position has nothing to do with it... It's actually another normal variant on uterus position. Could you ask your Dr point blank if your uterus position could have contributed to your loss? I bet the answer is no and that could hopefully be reassuring?

Tilted backwards is a retroverted uterus so yay for having a ute twin haha I can ask but I’m not sure if she’ll know what my uterus position was with my loss. It was 8 years ago and I lived in a different city, although I believe they had those records transferred over when I moved. I wrote down a few questions I have for her next time I go... One being if I had it with DD, because if I did and it corrected itself I’ll feel better knowing I had it and everything turned out fine. My OB with DD recently moved but it’s the same office so I’m sure she has access to those records for sure.

cch Like sunshiney mine is also tilted. Has been my whole life which made pap tests unpleasant if doctors weren't aware of it ahead of time. It had no bearing on my pregnancy and had nothing to do with my loss. Sorry this is causing you stress:( I ate some things that are on the do no eat during pregnancy list (I didn't know they were not good to eat until today) and I've been Googling listeriosis all day. I think we are just doomed to be stressed no matter what:/ ETA my cervix is in a weird position too

sammysam It’s good to know I’m not alone. I’m a worrier by nature so hearing I have anything out of the norm tends to worry me. Seems like it’s fairly common though and shouldn’t lead to complications. I’m having terrible menstrual like cramps today along with back pain but I usually have cramps after trasvagifnal ultrasounds. I read yesterday that a retroverted uterus can cause back pain and she really poked and prodded down there to get a good look at my ovaries. It’s tough not to worry when you feel pain but after seeing the HB I feel good and am just trying to remind myself cramping after vaginal ultrasounds is normal. Try to relax about the foods you’ve eaten, my doctor was talking to me about listeria yesterday and how some fruits and veggies have been found to have listeria in them on occasion. She also heard about a bagged salad at Trader Joe’s recently being contaminated as well. I remember eating a Caesar salad with my loss about a month prior to the loss, not knowing the Caesar contained anchovies and raw egg yolk- the person checking me out at Panera insisted there were no anchovies. After finishing my salad I saw on the back of the dressing there was in fact anchovies in the salad and I just about freaked out. My OB told me that’s not what caused the MC and that it wasn’t my fault. I definitely understand worrying about something almost all the time but best to relax. I know, easier said than done. Hugs!

cch sorry you're dealing with cramps and back pain:/ I had this all through first tri with DD. The back pain lasted the entire pregnancy. You saw the heart beat and that's what matters. I get cramps every time my body wants to throw up. Probably from me trying not to throw up. I keep thinking about all the things I ate with my loss and I'm trying to be so careful this time around. I gave into a few of my cravings last year and even though I know rationally it's not what caused the loss my irrational mind still finds correlations. I'm hoping my US next week shows everything progressing as normal. I'm still terrified that it's going to be last year all over again.

sammysam PGAL brain seriously makes me irrational about everything, so I feel your pain. You’re not alone worrying about every little thing. I keep reminding myself worrying isn’t good for me or baby. FX your US next week goes great! I’m sure it will 😊 Edited for grammar

*tw* - threatened miscarriage In case anyone just isn't in the mood to read about that now. Had two wet spots of blood and a string of sticky blood after lunch. Thought it might be just cervical strain from carrying a heavy ice bucket. But in the last hour or so I've had to change three liners and sent DH for maxi pads. So far no clots or anything that looks absolutely uterine... Still hoping it's my stressed and irritated cervix... Getting US a day early tomorrow morning. Dr said to rest and hydrate. Anyways, still hoping for the best!

sunshiney I'm so so sorry you are going through this. I have everything crossed that it is just your cervix or something else causing the bleed. I've heard many stories of people bleeding much more heavily and passing clots only to find that baby was perfectly happy and snuggled up safely within. I am so hoping for good news for you tomorrow. We are all here supporting you and sending positive thoughts your way.

sunshiney I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. FX the US shows a healthy peanut tomorrow and it’s just your cervix acting up. Sending positive vibes and hugs. I’ll be thinking of you ❤️

sunshiney I'm so sorry for the bleeding. I hope that today's US goes well and that it's just cervical. I'll be thinking of you.

All is well! Thank you for all the kind thoughts. 6 weeks exactly today, saw a fetal pole measuring right on with heartbeat of 100 which is what they're looking for at 6 weeks, could see and hear it clearly! I have a rather large (5cm+) sub chorionic hematoma between gestational sac and cervix so I can expect bleeding but all should be fine as long as it doesn't grow too much bigger and restrict the gestational sac growth. Choosing to just appreciate one day at a time with this LO and how for the best! So thankful to have great medical care and know how baby's doing. I'll keep getting checked weekly but if I have worrisome bleeding I can call for an early US anytime.

sunshiney yay! I didn't have a chance to reply yesterday after reading but have been thinking of you. Sorry you have to deal with that but it is a resolvable situation and glad you have a solid answer! cch I'm another retroverted unterus. Corrected itself during both pregnancies.

sunshiney Yay Yay Yay!!! I knew it would be a great update! So glad the US showed you your little one nice and safe:) Sorry you have to deal with the possibility of more bleeding moving forward but at least you have doctors who are on top of it and making sure you're both healthy and not stressed. I'm so so happy for you!
