I've come to a stand-still in doing anything with the nursery. I can't pick out paint colors until I set up the furniture (which is in my garage), and I can't set up the furniture until we move out the queen bed that's in there, and I can't move out the queen bed because my husband snores badly, wrecked his last anti-snore mouthpiece and has been sleeping in there for months!! He finally ordered a new dang mouthpiece, but still hasn't molded it yet. I'm torn between wanting to get a move on, but also not wanting to have to share my nice, big bed again 😂

I have to start the nursery, I am moving SS into the three yr olds room and it just seems like so much work. So I just haven’t started any of it.

We're moving DS to the bigger bedroom and using his current room as-is for DS2's nursery.
MH finally got started on the room over the weekend. Carpet and carpet padding got pulled up, old baseboard got ripped out, and hardwood floor and new window got ordered this morning. He'll be scraping the popcorn ceiling starting next weekend I believe.
I need to start looking at paint colors, a light for the ceiling, and area rug.

At what point in your pregnancy do you plan to restrict longer car trips? There’s a pending trip coming up 2+ hours away one way and I’m pretty sure it’s cutting it too close, but I’m going to ask my OB anyways.

Also at what point will you be asking your spouse or SO to cut back on their travel? I have a H that is trying to take an annual trip that is cutting it really close and I’m trying to decide if I’m being irrational. I warned him this morning it’s on the chopping block.

I went over 40 weeks with both of my prior pregnancies, so I'd probably be fine to travel 1-2 hours away up to 39 weeks. But also, my baby will be birthed by whatever on/midwife is on staff at whatever hospital I show up to. So my current ob wouldn't birth my baby anyways because of the national health system here. I think mostly it is just what you are comfortable with. I have relatively uneventful pregnancies, so I might feel different if I had more difficult pregnancies/births.

Also MH isn't allowed to go anywhere solo, but that's because I can't handle my two toddler boys on my own while hugely pregnant lol. They are a handful even with two of us.

My OB was fine with me traveling 5 hours away at 36 weeks before my umbilical cord complication, but I'm not sure what she'll say about it now. I'm sure being in the car for that long will not be super fun but if my ob says it's still fine we will probably travel that far for my cousin's wedding. My OB didn't deliver DD since she was born so late at night, but I didn't really care who delivered her, I just wanted her out safely. DH doesn't really travel too much for work anymore, but depending on how things look towards the end he probably won't schedule any travel in the last month or so because with my complication sometimes they will decide to induce labor early just in case.

I've finally settled on nursery decor and spent Sunday finalizing our registries. This is our second so I'm just doing the registries for completion discounts so I'm not paying full price for the things I know we will want/need. I set the due date a little earlier so that I'm eligible for the discounts at the beginning of next month.
We need to transition DD to a big girl bed so that the crib can go in the nursery. I'm hoping it goes smoothly and we can get that going in the next week or so.

With L I travelled 2 hours at 39 weeks, but I also had a very uneventful pregnancy with her and hadn't had any indications that labor was imminent. It was also just a day trip and a wait till the last minute to see if I really felt up to it day of. I'm currently working on figuring out how to best be comfortable in the car for a 6 hour drive at 26 weeks.

Depending on how I was feeling I might travel up to about 37, maybe 38, weeks if it's ONLY a couple hour drive. Assuming it was ok with my OB. I delivered DS at 40+4. Not sure what my cut-off would be for MH traveling without me as he's never done this. Depending on circumstances maybe 36 weeks, but I sure wouldn't like it!

Dang teambrink! Setting the EDD earlier to get the completion discount sooner is brilliant! Wish I had thought of that!

We’re going camping 4 hours away (trailer, not tent), from 32-33 weeks. After that I’m banning myself from any trips more than an hour away. I think it’s a personal decision though, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with traveling late in the game as long las you’re not too far from medical care.

mirabelle - Assuming I was still comfortable enough to make the trip and my OB had no concerns, I'd probably still go up to 36-38 weeks. I figure some moms are that far from where they'll deliver on a daily basis so as long as all is going well, why not? MH doesn't travel anymore so I don't have a personal experience answer for your second question, but again as long as I was feeling ok I'd say 36-38 weeks again depending on how far away he was going to be. Granted I went overdue with DS and was in labor all day before heading to the hospital so if MH had been a couple hours away he still would have had time to get home.

I think my DH should read this haha. It's completely accurate and he doesn't understand why things are so damn hard some days for me.

My toaster oven is officially dead. The toaster function broke some months ago, but this morning the oven function about blew up. Thankfully it happened on a morning MH is home. I would've freaked out!

I would've freaked out! That stinks! Toaster ovens are one of the most useful appliances. Especially in the summer when you need to make something small.

I literally couldn't fall asleep last night worrying about the fact that we are nowhere close to a name for this guy.
We have 3 months... It's way too early for this shit...

I literally couldn't fall asleep last night worrying about the fact that we are nowhere close to a name for this guy. We have 3 months... It's way too early for this shit... I had baby naming stress dreams with my first pregnancy because it took us so long to decide on a boy name for DD since were team green and needed to have both. I kept dreaming that the baby was born and I couldn't show him to anyone because he didn't have a name, or that when she was born none of the names we picked out suited her and so we had to find a new name. Of course we've now discarded the boy name we would have used for DD, but we do have a couple of name options so far. Good luck and hopefully the naming anxiety stops soon!

Naming a person is SUCH a big deal! I totally get this. I hope the sleeplessness passes. Eventually a name will come 😊 I go through all the names under each letter on Nameberry and anything that I kinda like I put in a list. We randomly found the name I think we're going with (for a boy - that was our wild card) months ago, and over time it's just started to feel like the right name. The name was no where on my radar before I randomly read it out loud from Nameberry.

I was so stressed out naming DD and I'm starting to get stressed about this one, especially since DH doesn't really want to even think about names yet.
Also glucose test is done! Hopefully I don't have to do the three hour!

MH was off today and we got to work on a decent amount of the random tasks that I've needed help with. I am soooo beat now though. My body is not pleased with the physical labor.
