3 day work week for me since Friday is rehearsal day for my brother's wedding.
Early forecasts for Saturday are calling for 80% chance of rain with thunderstorms. Yikes.

Just got done at anatomy scan. Everything seemed pretty good. They had to mention something about the heart but said it's usually common and rarely a sign of genetic disorders.
But we are team blue!!
I'm so shocked because even though I've always wanted a boy, I really didn't think I'd get to have one. DD is a bit sad because she wants a sister.

No worries Nymeria, I frequently don't know what day it is.... Ha! I got married in a Michigan monsoon! Not really a monsoon of course, but that's what we call it. It was such a dry summer that it was completely unexpected. Had to go with Plan B and get married in our reception hall instead of at the outdoor gazebo as hoped for 🙁 Roads were flooded, trees were down, most guests were late and we had to push back the ceremony. BUT my photographer got some great shots outside with the storm clouds rolling in and some indoors in front of big windows with the pouring rain outside as the backdrop. Someone suggested catching some of the rain water and putting it in a Mason jar as a memento and at the time I was like "no, screw that. I'm mad at this rain!" But in hindsight I kinda wish I would have done it!! I'm not religious, but I've heard of couples adding the rainwater from their wedding day for Chistening/Baptism. I hope whatever happens with the weather, that everything runs smoothly!

pixiepink24 Congrats on a good scan and finding out about that it’s a boy!

Does anyone else’s OB make it really difficult and time consuming to schedule appointments? Every time I schedule something it’s as if I’m the only person who has ever scheduled that type of appointment and they put me on hold and have to call over to somewhere...I don’t understand. I love my OB so I’m willing to go through the hassle, but all my stuff is routine. Is it just me?

pixiepink24 - Congrats on team blue! Was it an echogenic cardiac focus? We had one of those at our a/s too and my OB & nurse stressed that alone it was not something to be concerned about and they generally resolve during pregnancy. Sounds like they're fairly common and mainly show up due to how advanced u/s technology has gotten.

NymeriaYes, that's it!! She said she only had to mention it was because we didn't do any genetic screening. But everything else was great so I'm not worried.

mirabelle I haven't had any issues with scheduling. But I always schedule my next appt before I leave my current appt. At this point all the appts have been four weeks out, so it hasn't been difficult to find a time that works.

I schedule my next appointment each time I check out from an appointment so it's been fine for me too.

Nymeria, I've been finding that at least around here the forecast is changing by the hour. pixiepink24, congrats on team blue and a good ultrasound! I had my as this morning and as far as I could tell everything looks good, although baby was curled up and she had trouble getting a good picture of the tailbone. We are still team green, although I was tempted to change my mind.

I’ll try scheduling as I leave next time to see if it goes smoother. I’m sure it will.

knittyCongrats to you as well for a good A/S! My little guy was making it hard to get pics of the bottom of the spine too! She tried wiggling him and he just didn't want to move. I have a feeling this kid will be so different from DD.

We are at the beach this week, yay tropical storm! Should have some sunshine tomorrow though. The boys have been troopers and went fishing for the first time this morning 🎣
Besides that, I’m just sofa king glad it’s summer. I’m teaching two online classes in June then I plan to mentally check out until about November 😊

I have four kids here today, alone. Save me! Lol! My almost 9 year old niece is spending the day.
We did the calculations, my SO has only been home approx 6 weeks since January 1st this year. FML. Things better improve when I have a newborn here with DD.

pixiepink24, I feel you. My class today had a few kids away, and I'm still exhausted! It's been one of those days. Anyone having Braxton Hicks contractions yet? I'm pretty sure I've been having them occasionally and today I'm feeling a little achey/crampy. Not much, but am glad to be seeing my OB later.

Seem to be mainly linked to not enough water or a too full bladder which was the case with DS too.

Had my OB appt this afternoon. Dr is keeping my EDD the 25th which I'm glad for (a/s suggested 9/19). I always measured ahead with DS too and I went to 40+4 with him. I don't want to feel pressured by a looming induction date if things aren't happening according to the time line of an earlier due date.
I also scheduled my glucose screening for the next appt, then it's every two weeks after that 😯 How are we talking two week appts already?!

You know what - I wonder if I might be having some BH too. I've thought baby has been doing some weird movements in there that feel awkward sometimes. But it just occurred to me, as I kinda grunted through one of those moments, that maybe that's a BH I'm feeling! I didn't have them until towards the end of 3rd tri with DS and I'd kinda forgotten what they felt like. I'll have to pay closer attention next time.

I've been having Braxton Hicks since about 12 weeks. I seem to just be a person who gets them a lot. I have several a day. Same as my previous two pregnancies.

Ugh I’m way too emotional. I can’t keep it under control! I had a rough day at work, got home and DH was stressed too and so of course we got in a fight and let’s just say the hormones are in charge right now. Hopefully a good nights sleep will help reset things.
