I am so freaking hungry today. I usually snack throughout the day, but this is unreal. Just went upstairs in my office to get a cup of tea and ended up eating a bowl of leftover pasta salad, two hours after I had a big thing of fried rice and watermelon for lunch. I feel like I am going to eat my own arm off!

Also hungry. At a work event and successfully chowed down on many mini hot dogs and a cup of popcorn. Still hungry. I have crockpot ribs waiting for me at home. C’mon, 6:30!

My insurance runs Aug-Jul and I have hit my deductible already because of ADHD meds prior to being pregnant and then progesterone I took for my loss & for the first tri for this current pregnancy...Sucks so bad it resets in August this year Mine is the same, so annoying to be having a Fall baby (again) with an August plan year. I told my husband after this kid is born, we're doing all the doctor things we need to since the deductible will already be met. I wish the first and second tri ultrasounds and tests would count toward the deductible though! At least we have an HSA so it's not quite as painful to pay the bills, and the prenatal care is billed as part of the birth cost so it goes toward the deductible. Maybe talk to your office? My last pregnancy was between two years and my ob's office had me sign a contract which basically said I'd pay copays and stuff but everything included in the contract (appointments, planned ultrasounds, tests, whatever) would all be billed at the end of my pregnancy so it would all be in one year. Maybe they have that option but don't normally think about august plan years?

We had our initial OB appointment yesterday with the NP and my due date is now 12/25. Woohoo. At least it is easy to remember? We scheduled the date for the NT scan and the NIPT test. It will be June 13th. That will also be our first consult with the MFM (High risk OB). I have another appointment on June 6th to meet with the regular OB. We scheduled out like 8 different appointments. Basically I am going to live at the doctors office.
Everything looked good though. They brought in a tiny portable US machine and saw fetal activity so they were happy with that.

I've already paid for one ultrasound, but the anatomy scan would be nice to include in the next plan year, and they do them all in-house.

I’m excited. My friend is bringing her doppler for me to try out. Never used one with DD. But, she offered, and I figure it’d be cool for DD and H (and maybe bring me some extra peace of mind). I go to all appointments except for a/s by myself, so H doesn’t get a chance to see and hear.

Just a word of advice (and speaking from experience) but don’t freak out if you can’t find it right away- these kiddos are small and move around like fish! Also, check lower than you think you should be checking. Like 2 inches below your belly button.

Mine bills at the end - which is the part that I don't like because I've already hit my deductible, so it would all be covered if I was billed right now.

I bought a doppler for this pregnancy (sonoline b the one everyone raves about) - I'm 15+1 and still can't find it at home. Doctor has found it at 10+2 and 14+5! Frustrating!

But I could totally be making that up.

But I could totally be making that up. And probably how much belly fat you have. Took the midwife a while to find the HB at my 14 week, I imagine partly because I have a cushy belly, she was really digging in there!

We won’t be announcing publicly until telling family mid June, but we are team BLUE! We were so certain he was a girl, but we are thrilled and feel so peaceful!
I can’t wait to see my boys bond and grow together!

H is dying to spill the beans. We’ve come this far. You can’t wait two more weeks?
I’ll only entertain telling the grandparents early if we can hear the heartbeat via doppler. Otherwise, chill out until our appointment on June 5.

quijibo woo boo!!! How far along are you again? I can’t remember off the top of my head. 11 weeks, 1 day. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to hear, but it worked! HB hung around the 170s, for the most part.

Annnnnnd the H and I are fighting because he asked if the Doppler is a gimmick, if I Googled the reliability of a doppler, and how do I know it’s not my heartbeat. Damn. Way to burst my bubble, dude. Also, if my resting heartbeat is 169+, please take me to the hospital.

I don’t trust the numbers since they generally seem off, but that’s not what matters to me. Just hearing it and knowing things are fine is enough.

It's weird to be in the phase where I don't really *feel* very pregnant at the moment. Early second tri is kind of a mind trip. Like, I have a belly and I look pregnant, but my symptoms are minimal and I'm not feeling the baby yet outside of a couple of random times I might have felt something. I don't think I felt much last time around until close to my anatomy scan at 20 weeks.

I don’t really get it, but I think it’s normal. Pretty sure it happened with DS too. I just don’t think it was as noticeable. I’m so excited for your AS coming up!!! I hope the day gets here soon. I know time has been dragging.

I’ve been feeling flutters since about 15w, and last week I noticed them a little more consistently. I’m 17w2d now, and I feel like the movement is less fluttery and a little bit more defined. Is my brain making this up? It seems too early for this.
It’s still not something that can be felt from the outside, but I feel like he may be rolling around in there or trying to stretch out. This started after our ultrasound yesterday. 🤷🏻♀️

My OB was telling me it’s definitely possible to feel baby moving earlier on when it’s not your first pregnancy.
I’ve felt some small flutters, maybe. I think last time it was more like 19-20 weeks though.
