Happy Monday!
I thought May just started? How is it half over already?!

Baby must be laying transverse across my belly in the mornings cause I often feel baby's morning dance party kicking/hitting me on both the right and left side simultaneously! This seems to be the position of choice for the nighttime dance party as well when I'm trying to go to sleep! And the sensations were surprisingly high up today. My uterus is definitely above my belly button now and I'm surprised each time I feel kicks up so high.

I'm sitting at the OBs office for my appt. I apparently lost about 3 lbs since I last appointment.

ftwr well I bet that was a surprise! I hope your OB wasn't worried. I'm sure it's just some fluctuation. I know I've been much more "active" as it's been getting warmer. How was the rest of your appt?

How was the rest of your appt? He wasn't worried. To be honest, I'm a little on the fluffy side for 5'3'' so I don't think it's anything to be worried about. I just contribute it to taking regular walks at work and not eating junk food. I gained 50lbs with DD (and was 40 lbs lighter pre-pregnancy) so I've tried to be aware of what I'm eating and trying to stay lightly active. My appointment was quick. He said everything looks great, the HB was around 135 (he guesstimates), and since I'm feeling great with no worries or complaints he gave me a fist bump and sent me on my way. I go back in 5 weeks for my glucose test.

I’m 18 weeks today, haven’t felt any movement yet. I can’t remeber when I started to feel movement with my first? I have my anatomy scan on Thursday, and I’m getting more and more nervous. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

It’s the last week of school! It always feels like the school year goes so fast now, but while I’m in the middle of it it seems to drag on forever.

Hope everyone has a great Monday! I didn’t feel movement with my May baby until 21ish weeks- he has a anterior placenta so he just used that as punching bag. I remember being so worried an anxious to feel those first kicks.

Mine will be sometime around 26-28 weeks. My next appt on June 7 will be at 25 weeks so they'll give me the paperwork then and I'll do it at some point in the few weeks after.

Hope everyone has a great Monday! I was barely feeling anything at this point and finally started feeling more around 20-21 weeks. Baby is still small at this point and if there's any chance you have an anterior placenta that could make a big difference!

Add me to the anterior placenta group. I feel groups of movements maybe once or twice a day. It's started to pick up a little though as he's gotten bigger but I was worried to until my U/S tech told me that I had an anterior placenta and that's why I'm not feeling much.

Thanks for the reassurance ladies! Everything just seems so much more anxiety ridden during pregnancy. I over analyze everything!

Thanks for the reassurance ladies! Everything just seems so much more anxiety ridden during pregnancy. I over analyze everything! You're definitely not alone. I'm feeling more movement (22 weeks on Thursday) but not a ton all the time yet so I had to break out the doppler this morning for a quick check before leaving for work. As soon as I placed it on my stomach baby kicked it hard enough I saw my stomach move. I put it down a second time and he did it again. So I know he's moving but he's still small enough that I don't always feel it. I'm definitely looking forward to when baby gets bigger so it's more obvious when he's moving around.

What do you think?
I'm only in my 17th week. Haven't really felt much aside from a very rare flutter. But currently out of nowhere my right side above my hip between the bone and center of belly has been continuously spasming. It's been like 45 mins now. It's pretty constistant like a hiccup and I can see it. To me, I feel like no way it could be the baby or baby hiccups. So I'm thinking my muscle is spasming. No pain or anything. Probably nothing to be concerned about, right?!

This means that I will no longer be watching the 3.5 year old and it will just be me and DD in the mornings and the 7 month old in the afternoons. I'm actually excited!

ftwr, I’m sitting waiting for my appointment too! Glad yours went well. I just got word from my dept chair that she’s giving me an all-online teaching schedule in the spring!! Hallelujah. So we might be able to avoid first year daycare for her altogether. That would be a huge money-saver.

pixiepink24 hm, that is strange when you haven't felt much before! Maybe baby's positioned just right that you can feel hiccups! Has it gone away yet? In the event that it's a muscle spasm, which would also make sense as all those muscles are being stretched and taking on more strain now, maybe drinking some more water and trying to sit down/take it easy for a little bit would help.

I've gotten muscle twitches both while pregnant and not pregnant that feel like a twitch and they can last a long time. Since it doesn't hurt I wouldn't worry about it for now. Maybe you twisted just right to send it into a spasm. Hope it stops soon!

Yeah, it's still going. I've been drinking water and relaxing. It started right after we left a pool today. I did pick up my daughter for a minute but really didn't do anything strenuous minus floating around a pool for a few hours.

My top boys name sounds horrible with our chosen middle name! Can’t change the middle name because it’s a family tradition on DH’s side 😦. My second favorite boys name is my nephews middle name, also a sentimental family name. Back to the drawing board!

Maybe it's not really THAT bad.... At least we have another front runner boy name, but I'd been leaning towards the one in question all along! .....And then, maybe baby is a girl!! So the boy names won't matter!
